I had a pretty good experience with ricke brothers. Two things that I did not like was the lack of…read morecommunication when signing off on a deposit to hold the vehicle while awaiting loan approval. He did not inform me of what I was signing and I assumed it was simply to authorize the hold on the vehicle and not a binding contract saying that I was going to purchase the vehicle, even if my loan was not approved. That could have devastating consequences. The other thing I did not like was one salesman/mechanic who I had limited interactions with did not seem at all interested in the satisfaction of the customer, but preferred a quick fix on the surface to give the vehicle the appearance of being fully repaired. I purchased a jeep liberty and when I test drove it, I noticed something smoking under the hood. They of course assured me thy would fix it. Through my two day process of purchasing the vehicle they fixed that as well as a ball joint and a-arm which sounded good to me. Finally when I was approved and drove the vehicle home, it seemed like neither problem had been repaired and in fact, the ball joint seemed worse than when I originally drove it. I promptly called them and they said they would fix it immediately. After a day and a half they had both issues resolved and the vehicle was back in my possession. Overall a good experience and a good selection of vehicles. Definitely ask what you're signing before you sign and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Joe was very insistent that it's there and even pulled it up when I couldn't. the entire time while he pulled it up I looked and couldn't find it. He showed no concern for me not being able to find it and just annoyed I called him to ask about it. He answered my question and I hung up because I was annoyed and I thought staying on the line would do more harm. I apologize for hanging up on u Joe that was rude of me. Then I called back later to tell the manager of this interaction and got Joe the manager. i tried to explain how he came off rude and how his lack of understanding to my situation and pure insistance to that it was on the website and I missed it was rude. He did not see it that way and instead said I was the rude one for hanging up. I explained to him I was hanging up because it was no longer productive to this conversation and hung up. I would not recommend buying from them if this is how the managers act when a customer has a question. I wonder how they would treat you if you tried to buy from them.

I spoke to manager to try and negotiate and he gave me 25.00 off but I was still to pay for their time even if I did NOT get anything fixed! They specialize in trucks, cargo vans, and other heavy-duty work vehicles that usually would bypass the scope of the average commuter. However, after 6 months of looking to replace my truck with a Suburban, they were on my radar after driving one a few months back. It wasn't quite what I wanted, and it sold quickly anyway, but finally another showed up in their inventory that fit. Casey, the salesman, was a pleasure to deal with; he did several things that were well beyond the normal expectations to make me happy. First, he helped transport the truck over to my mechanic for him to check out; then, he repainted the roof racks, as they were faded; and finally, he allowed me to pick out tires of my choosing, install them/remove the existing new tires, and throw the difference onto the cost of the vehicle. Also, even though there was no odor, ran the ionizing machine to remove all cigarette smell after I found a burn mark on the seat, indicating there had been a smoker who drove it previously. Several other smaller items were also corrected. After I had plunked down the money and owned a new (used) Suburban, three weeks later I discovered there had been something mounted in the rear, and two holes had been drilled through the floor. John and Casey took it back, sent it to a body shop for repairs and patching, and had it ready for me the next day. Awesome. They specialize in pre-owned trucks that are ex-government vehicles...which, hopefully means that they were maintained routinely. Also, mine was a NC truck, so southern (rust free) trucks are to be found here...which spared me a trip south to find a rust free vehicle. This was a really good experience, and I have nothing but positive to say about Jakobsen. They offered me a great 'Burban with low miles for a good price, and gave me a fair price on my trade in. Thanks Casey for a good product and an exceptional purchase experience.
