When many other shops in my area wanted to charge several hundred dollars for assessing the brake problems with my 2012 prius V...Sam's team looked at pictures of my dashboard via text and instantly knew what needed to be done and gave me a quote. They ordered the part and put me on the schedule. They even loaned me a different prius for the day for only 25 dollars. Well worth the 2 hour round trip through Amish country to get the work taken care of right. The car drives like its brand new again. This is our 2nd prius that we have purchased from Sam's Auto. We bought a prius V this time since we couldn't find one last time. Both purchases were easy and the cars are in great shape! 1st prius is still going strong at almost 250k (was 160k when purchased). Newest one runs smooth. I definitely think I overpaid for the 2nd one but with the limited supply of the V's and the high market right now I still think it was worth it. I have never had any work done by them since I'm an hour and a half away but based on their vehicles they sell I'd have to say they do a great job! When they get mad at your for looking at a car for longer than 15 minutes then almost refuse to let you test drive another vehicle when you come back on a different day. Plus, the racial statements they make towards a specific ethnicity. I'll never step foot on this lot again. However, I got to stand my ground for the first time, and I shocked myself on how forceful I got with that tall big bully. I bought my Prius there about a month ago. Sam wasn't pushy and was great to work with. He mainly deals in Toyota Priuses and has a shop on site. The day after I bought my Prius, the radio started turning off randomly. I called up Sam and he replaced it for free, no problem, which was awesome. As a woman its hard to buy a car and it was nice to not be pushed into something I didn't need or want. He's not into haggling, as the car prices are decent. He was very patient with my finance company, which is a small credit union on the west coast. I've had it a month and It has neen a good car so far. I'll update if I have any problems. If I do, I'll go to Sams for repair. He is pretty busy, so if u go, make sure you have time and patience. read more

Very happy with CAR so far. Gave decent warranty that seems like they will honor - actually SEE them working on CARS in their shop ( unlike many others used car dealers in the same area ) so that was a big plus! I learned long time ago to ask WHO does repairs on their cars and details of warranties because on USED cars they can be sketchy so ask lots of questions and take ANY car on long test drive or to your mechanic if you have one ! His guys are good and they'll tell you what's going on and make a repair recommendation but they're not going to sell you stuff you don't need. This business is shady, if it's not beneficial to the owner Sam, he will do NOTHING for your concerns. I bought a car from him 2/2015 to make a long story short about dead attempts to solve my issues this thief tells me I need a whole new transmission 4 months later!!!! If I paid almost 5,000 cash for a vehicle the least you can do is fix issues you KNEW were there before you sold me the car. I don't recommend this place to ANYONE, I'm not exaggerating. Just bought a Prius at Sam's today. Seems like a good deal with a 6 month repair warranty on the hybrid battery. When I got home I found a headlight bulb was bad, called them up and even though it was sold as is, Sam replaced the bulb the very same day. I wanted to buy a hybrid car. I looked online at a dozen different websites. I found a car that interested me. I wasn't sure if i wanted to buy such an advanced and technical car from a used car lot. When i pulled up to sam's auto he must have had 20 used Toyota hybrids and a handful of electric cars. I immediately knew i was at the right place. Sam was very approachable and friendly. He knows these cars better than some of the mechanics that work at the Toyota dealerships. I bought a Lexus hybrid and i love it. The whole experience that i had at sam's auto was wonderful. I will bring my car to Sam's for all of the maintenance even though it's almost an hour from my house. I will do this because he and his friendly employees know these kinds of cars better than anyone. It's all they deal with. I recommend sam's auto if you want any type of hybrid/electric car. Con-Artist is the only term you can describe them. Went there for inspection and they told me $500 worth of stuff wrong with the car. Sam fixed it and on my way home car starts shaking and when I took it back to him, he told me to invest $350 more and he will fix it. Disappointing and robbing people left and right. I bought a car from them about two years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. A mechanic told me the car literally had all the wrong parts for the vehicle and basically held together just to make the sale to someone who doesn't know anything about cars...(me) I paid 6000$ for the car (a price he wouldn't budge on) and the car is absolutely worthless now. I can't even sell it on Craigslist for 1000$ I've definitely learned my lesson and I will always take a mechanic with me when I plan on buying a car. I recommend this place to no one. read more
