Delicious. Their pulled pork burrito and sweet potato fries were incredible. Their staff is friendly, and the place is clean.

This place is pretty good. Portions are in line with price and are sizable enough to enjoy. A lot of places are going to the small sauce containers for their sides but Woodchuck still uses a more decent 4oz container. Ribs were tender and well seasoned. It's just a matter of if you like the seasoning. I found it to be pretty good. Wings are good size but I found the sauce on the wings to be a bit bland. The wings were also a little chewy. I also prefer my wings to be a little deep fried to add a crunch but for the size and cost, these aren't bad. Cornbread was the only let down. Less corn more like a cake batter. With bbq, a lot comes down to how you like it. I can't fault the quality, presentation or price. It just comes down to if you like the style or not. read more

The food was spot on. Had their ribs, Mac n cheese, southern slaw, and corn bread. All delicious. The atmosphere was very laid back nothing fancy. Service was good. Worth a visit if you enjoy bbq. read more

Overall good spot. Great service. In total we got fried mozzarella, two orders of baby back ribs, brisket, steak tips, fries, sweet potato fries, baby baked potatoes, mac and cheese, and cornbread. All of the meats were cooked amazingly, but for me personally I am just not super crazy about the sauce. It's a nice light tangy sauce which my partner enjoyed. I definitely prefer something more smokey and dark. All the sides were fantastic as well, no complaints! As well as service. Everyone was very friendly. Our total came to $78 (before tip) which is pretty hefty but not horrible for the amount we got. Would go again! read more

My family and I have ordered from Woodchucks a few times in the last month. Our son said they have the best chicken fingers ever! From what we have had, everything is delicious! Their pulled pork is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is very clean as well which says a lot. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Ordered takeout from here and had a great experience. We ordered through the website and it was seamless. The food was really good and the portions were great. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the dishes. The bam bam shrimp was to die for, we got 2 orders and still wanted more haha. read more

For us, this wasn't what we know as BBQ. The service was fine. I ordered take-out which was packaged fine and the food was hot. That's the best i can offer. My bad, assuming BBQ included actually smoking meat. And there was zero balance on the "perfect " rib... the rub was mostly cumin and the sauce if I was to guess processed. read more

Quality BBQ - exactly what you're craving! Corn fritter appetizer--fluffy, crisp coating with a creamy inside topped with powdered sugar, Generously meaty ribs with a perfectly balanced sauce, Very cheesy, rich macaroni, Zesty baked beans with a southwestern flair (jalapeno, no bite), Creamy, sweet coleslaw, Sweet, soft, grainy cornbread--just how it should be Everything came in a nice size and fairly priced. Quick takeout service, clean indoor atmosphere, friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Came here on a whim as our intial intended destination had no parking available and we are bbq fans. It's a cute spot with a great menu, quick and friendly service, and lots of hometown pride. We really enjoyed the little trivia questions and jokes at the table, it was a nice touch. The "perfect" sauce is aptly named as it was fantastic. The ribs were cooked just right and packed with flavor. Pulled pork was also delicious. Sweet potato fries had a great seasoning on them and were a surprise hit with our toddler. Price and serving size were just perfect in my opinion. Great bite of food at a great price. Would definitely stop back if in the area. read more

Been going here a few years now and last night's bill was excessive bc they charge $3.25 for delivery which you get taxed on, and if you use your credit card they charge you a fee. I will have to rethink ordering here in the future. Not true that everyone charges for using credit cards. Also, gas prices have dropped & we usually tip the driver. Not all you food is great - some of your meats are very dry. read more

There is a reason I don't check in here. The frequency with which I stop by is embarrassing. To say I'm addicted to their steak tips is to say nothing. I experience withdrawals if I miss more than 2-3 days. Tried their ribs (I do dry rub or spicy), tried the pulled pork - all very, very good. Eventually will try the wings, but I rarely can tear myself away from the steak tips. Being the spoiled brat I am, I of course customize them to my very weird tastes, but everyone there were AMAZING about it and always get it just right. No grumpiness, no attitude, super understanding and helpful. Don't go just by what I say - all their stuff is fab, I'm just a steak tips/burnt ends fanatic. I'm pretty far - in Toms River - but there's no way I'm going by and not stop - hungry or not. And yes, I will travel there specifically if I have to. Frequent flyer tip: try ALL their sauces. You may be surprised and your favorite one may turn out to be one you've never particularly liked. Just go. You're welcome! read more

Omg, the BEST food Ever!!!! The wings with the amount of cheese is beyond! The cornbread?! To die for! So totally worth the price!

We did takeout from here and everything we ate was good. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken wings, coke sLaw, and corn fritters. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Always stopped in for lunch when is the area over many years but yesterday was a disappointment. Ordered a rack of baby back ribs and plate of beef brisket and found it to be not up to their normal quality. The baby backs ribs were not in a rack but cut in two ribs sections and much thicker and shorted then the rack of varying length, the meat was tough and chewy...definitely not baby backs in my opinion. The beef brisket was also tough and had no taste. Very disappointed and now must find an alternative, maybe will give the old Hickory Hog another shot but since they moved into their new Gerards wine store location we find the atmosphere a turn off. read more

Oh my...where do I begin. We ordered from here on a Sunday evening with friends. EVERYONE was satisfied and raving about how good the food was...and we are all a picky bunch. I forgot what everyone else had, but my friend had the pulled pork sandwich and the fries with everything on them. They were incredible. Thank goodness she shared. My husband had the corn fritters. I could eat them everyday. He also had some type of meats platter and ate everything on his plate. I had the brisket over salad. Wowza...what a deal! The amount of brisket they gave filled me up and I felt somewhat healthy by eating the salad. I would definitely order it again. read more

Woodchucks is a small quick BBQ place in point pleasant NJ! We got the ribs, brisket and a side of potatoes and Mac and cheese! I would def get the ribs and Mac and cheese again! Great authentic Bbq . Fast service and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very nice. Plus great smells!

I paid 32.00 and got the worst tasting food here. The brisket was so gross, had a gamey taste no bbq sauce on anything. The Mac and cheese was gross and old color. They have young kids working here and cooking here and the place did not seen clean kitchen wise. read more

Delicious bbq food! We are always totally satisfied with our meals! Our favorite is the dry rub ribs!

Good. Good smoke flavor. Not overly sauced ribs. I'll be back. Side salad was was great as a side.

Thanks to a friend in FL, who sent me pics of her bbq lunch, I was left drooling and craving sticky saucy ribs. Then thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I found this place in Point. Lemme just say a big THANK YOU to those Yelpers who raved about the place - they weren't wrong. We ordered the lunch wings (7) with garlic habanero sauce to start. We chose the Mac n cheese as the chosen side. They were juicy and so tasty! 4 Star! The m&c reminded me of Stouffers brand which I was totally okay with. Next I went for the lunch ribs that comes with slaw and the choice of one side. I chose the baked beans which were decent. I didn't come for the sides- I came for the BBQ! I wasn't disappointed. They were fall off the bone, juicy and soooo savory. It's a small portion - could be considered a starter for some. Good enough for me who doesn't like to be stuffed. My lunch companion had the sweet brisket panini which was a good size and ended up only having room for half and heated the other half up later for dinner! The sweet potato fries side were sweet. Will definitely be back here. Server was very happy, attentive, and filled up our drinks, making sure we didn't need for anything. The place is nice and airy, bright and clean. The lunch prices were reasonable too! Btw, it's BYOB for those who fancy a beer with their bbq. So don't deny yourself this bbq. It is finger lickin good! read more

While visiting friends in the area we decided to try Woodchucks BBQ. I ordered the Woodchuck Fries as an appetizer which were amazing. I also ordered the pulled meat platter. I decided to go with just brisket and pulled pork with sides of Mac and cheese and baked beans. Both the pulled pork and brisket were delicious however the pulled pork was a little dry but not terrible. I recommended getting some extra corn bread because it is the perfect compliment to a good BBQ meal and Woodchucks corn bread is great. Will definitely return next time I'm in town. read more

The ribs, brisket and Mac and cheese were really good. I just wish I hadn't ordered the wings. They were undercooked and kind of gross.

I ordered delivery tonight and I can't say enough positive things! The girl who answered the phone to take my order was super friendly and said delivery would be over an hour. I'm so glad I chose to wait because the food was out of this world! We ordered the baby back ribs and pulled pork entree with Mac and cheese and baked beans as well as the woodchucker burger with fries. Everything was hot upon delivery and cooked to perfection. I can't wait to try their lunch specials. read more

10/10!!!! Amazing BBQ grilled chicken sandwich and a side of the potatoes. I died it was so good.

This place was pretty good for a northern bbq joint. The dry rub on the ribs was good and the brisket tore apart for the most part. The Mac n cheese and beans didn't impress too much, but the cornbread was dessert like. Out of all the places I've eaten corn fritters, I've never seen or heard of powdered sugar on them. It was different for sure, but not in a bad way. I'd say this is more of a 3.5 Star place. read more

When I review a BBQ joint I look at how busy they are. Not because if they are, the cue must be good, but to determine the process of serving cue after the cooking process is complete. Woodchucks BBQ has some opportunities here. Woodchucks BBQ has some solid points. Service was very friendly and attentive. Immediate greet at the table and plenty of answers to my questions. The restaurant looked busy with plenty of take out orders. Very comfortable and welcoming restaurant. Pulled pork was good, but average. Season well. Good flavor. Very little smoke. It was just not kick me in the butt pork. Nice sauce. Beef brisket was a chop coarse style with a lite coating of sauce. Very tasty, but over done. Lite smoke. The brisket was a nice option, but again not a kick me in the butt option. I finish the beef brisket the next day as a sandwich and was still tasty. Ribs had a well season bark, but a little dry. Had no bite as the meat just pulled off the bone. I could taste the smoke, but again an average rib. The rack across the board was a bit dry for my taste. As you can see the food was either over done or dry. While the ribs, pulled pork and brisket had a good taste, it seem that their holding of food just continue the cooking process. It made everything over done and dry. Overall, if your looking for cue, Woodchucks BBQ is an option. While it is not competition cue or amazing cue, it will curb your appetite for BBQ. The all around combination of service, welcoming environment and food makes Woodchucks BBQ a solid neighborhood destination. It is just not travel out of your way cue joint. read more

The food is fine when you actually get what you order, but the last three times I tried to get the buffalo chicken burrito they gave me BBQ chicken, and last time they put peppers in it for some reason. Good food, kind service but I think I've been burned too many times to go back Edit: ive been coming there for years and have gotten the same thing every single time. Im appalled at the owners reply. No, unless you changed recipes in the last 6 months that is not how it comes. How do you not know your own shops menu items. This is the first time it came with peppers so even if that were how its supposed to come you've messed up every other order until this one lol The description on your website :"Pulled Buffalo chicken tossed with our mild buffalo sauce then topped with smoked mozzarella cheese in a grilled tortilla" no mention of BBQ or peppers... Changing to 1 star and absolutely not going back when hickory hog is down the street read more

These were the driest ribs I've ever had and they weren't a "full rack" by any means as I ended up with multiple small end bones, I would say I should've had at least had 1/3 more meat. The sauce wasn't spicy or set and they were cold. I called to tell them how bad they were and when employee told me the owner cooked them I was taken back as he should be embarrassed to send out such garbage! I didn't call for refund or anything like that but just for feedback. Anyone that's cooked ribs knows it's pretty hard to overcook them. I ate half of the plate and what you see is what was left that's getting tossed in the garbage which I never do, I ordered a full rack for leftovers. The sides were decent and my wife's brisket grilled cheese was pretty good with no complaints. Stay away from the ribs! read more

Wings are big and super delicious. The ribs and bang bang shrimp combo is awesome. You will have leftovers!

Great wings (big and cooked well done as requested, 5 diff sauces to choose from), huge onion loaf/brick, fries are nice big crinkle cut. Ribs are solid and the bbq nachos is one of our fav things on the menu with lots of brisket and pork. Great service, both dine in and to go. Always get to go orders out on time and offer delivery which is awesome. read more

3.5 stars which is just ok in my book. The appetizers here have actually been better then the entrees I had. For appetizers I had the chicken skins and the corn fritters. The chicken skins are potatoes topped with pulled chicken, cheese, and bacon. I requested for mine without the bacon as I don't like bacon. They were really good! The corn fritters were also really good too! Definitely order one of them or both! For entrees I had the Mac Daddy Burger, the steak tips and the bbq chicken. The best out of all 3 was the Mac Daddy Burger. It's a burger topped with Mac and cheese, cheddar, and bacon bits. Again I ordered mine without the bacon. The burger was nice and juicy! The Mac and cheese on top needs work though. The bbq chicken and the steak tips were just ok. They needed a better bbq flavor and more of it. The sides I had here were the fries, cornbread, and the Mac and cheese. The fries are the crinkly kind and not that good. They had no seasoning on them either. I prefer hand cut fries instead. The Mac and cheese here was just average. The cornbread is ok/good. Overall it's just ok in my opinion, and doesn't live up to Shore Points BBQ which is also in Point Pleasant. read more
