It's just a matter of if you like the seasoning. I found it to be pretty good. Wings are good size but I found the sauce on the wings to be a bit bland. The wings were also a little chewy. I also prefer my wings to be a little deep fried to add a crunch but for the size and cost, these aren't bad. Cornbread was the only let down. Less corn more like a cake batter. With bbq, a lot comes down to how you like it. I can't fault the quality, presentation or price. It just comes down to if you like the style or not.

Spicy BBQ was very good. Cornbread was well above par. Service was very good. Owner offered samples. Cool byob, wood paneling. Parking can be challenging in the summer. I was worried the place would be so busy we would have to wait, but it was surprisingly half empty although people did keep coming in. I'm guessing so close to the Jersey shore on Saturday night in the summer everybody was doing the fine dining thing and we were surrounded by other restaurants that kinda met that criteria. I have to say I love the entire area: little shops and restaurants! Next time I'll have to look for an ice cream place nearby! I definitely like the atmosphere inside, it's kind of whimsical and fun with the little hilarious signs. But the food is clearly the star of the show. There was a small disappointment as they didn't have pulled pork because it wasn't ready, so I couldn't get the special "Mondo Joe" burger so I'll try to get that next time. We decide to get the special Parmesan fries I'm sorry I can't recall what they were named on the menu I think it was Cacio pepe fries. Those we couldn't stop eating till they were gone! I wound up getting the shrimp Po'boy with the grilled shrimp. the only thing I have to say is that it should've been on a roll that wasn't cut all the way through as to hold the shrimp in place, otherwise it was absolutely delicious and fresh tasting. My wife had the Cowboy brisket sandwich with melted cheese and onions with au jus for dipping. We both had their coleslaw which they give a very large portion of as our one included side. She let me try some of her sandwich, absolutely amazing! The brisket melts in your mouth! I also scored the leftover half of her sandwich as the portions are quite generous. I of course finished my sandwich! I can't wait to get back to this place and try more of the delectable items on the menu. The food really is that good.

Not at Mutiny though - the brisket sandwich was phenomenal. Meat super tender and juicy, the sauces were all excellent, my wings were exploding with juice- and honestly so jumbo I came in really hungry and could only eat 4 of 6 wings. If I have one comment it's that the wings need more salt (please salt em!) but the Alabama white sauce was some of the best I've had anywhere. Banana pudding was a little bit of a flop, I've had much better (no nilla wafers?) it was melty and looked like it had been sitting out for a long time (though I don't think it had, but the consistency was soupy). Still the brisket is worth its 5 solid stars. I'll be back to try their other meats

It's a little bit of Country when you walk in and the bluegrass music playing definitely puts you in the mood. The guy serving looked a little rough but he was very kind. Don't judge a book by its cover. Ordered the Sliced Brisket Sandwich. Two things I wished were different: 1) I wished it was a potato roll & 2) I wished the onions that came with it were pickled. Those are my only two complaints because everything else was FIRE!! The Cole Slaw was nice & crunchy and not too mayonaisey at all. The pickles weren't so sour...I like that. The BBQ sauce, GREAT viscosity and even greater flavor! And the brisket...CHILD!!!...AH-MAZ-INGGGGG!!! Some might argue that there was too much fat cap left on but fat is flavor! It was perfect! Perfectly seasoned and still held up when I picked it up. PERFECTLY smoked. Not over done or underdone. I just loved it! Looking forward to coming back & trying errrrthang!

We were greeted right away from a friendly welcoming man and were seated right away. I had the birria taco and barbacoa taco - barbacoa taco was the best one. So flavorful and filling. The birria taco tried its best but if you want something authentic it's definitely not here for the birria taco. The broth was more tomato base than what it's supposed to be and the taco itself was a bit more tougher than the authentic Mexican dish. My son enjoyed his burger but didn't care for the fries or cheese sauce on the side he ordered. My fiancé didn't care for his skirt steak sandwich too much, as it was difficult to chew. The location inside the Convention Hall made it super convenient, especially if you're spending the day on that part of the beach. The food was okay, not bad, but not particularly memorable either. It satisfied the craving and did exactly what I needed it to do at the time. At around $20 per plate, though, it felt pretty expensive for what you get. I understand boardwalk and beach vendors have higher operating costs, so the pricing wasn't completely surprising, but I'll definitely remember to pack snacks next time. The fountain soda was a little disappointing and tasted watered down, and while the food was fine, it's not something I'd go out of my way to come back for. That said, I appreciated that they had food available when I needed it, the bathrooms were clean and decent, and even the little chair parking area was a thoughtful touch. Overall, Mutiny Beach is a convenient option if you find yourself hungry at the beach without a backup plan. It's more of a practical stop than a memorable meal, but sometimes that's exactly what you need. It also had great beach views from my seat.
