This review is based on the customer service…read more I originally went into the store the end of November and was put off by the limited interaction I had with the representative. However, after looking at a handful of other slab yards I still hadn't found *the one*. (I was shopping for a quartz countertop for my bathroom and kitchen) I went back to Pacific Shore Stones on a Saturday in early January and it was busy. Anthony was working that day and even though it was busy and he was helping multiple other people, I never felt invisible or smothered, I was checked on, and I was offered guidance on some of the slabs I'd liked in the warehouse, as well as the slab options in the showroom. Anthony gave me a lot of helpful advice that I would have not known to ask about or possibly overlooked because I wasn't aware to even consider it. I was able to find my slabs and will update the review once my project is complete. I'm really happy I went back into the store and worked with Anthony, he really made the experience a great one.

Unfortunately our designer told us the slab wasn't available. Fast forward to 1/2022, we decided to again check PSS. Zack was there and remembered us plus the slab we had wanted. That's when we learned it had just sold two weeks earlier. Aside from being upset that our designer lied, we were amazed that after 6 months Zack cared enough to remember us and what we liked. The inventory at PSS is extensive, a bit overwhelming trying to decide on which ones would go in our bathrooms. So we took pictures and came back later. We should have made an appointment, since Zack was out when we returned. All of the staff are friendly and attempted to help. PSS had new inventory, which left us making new decisions. Unlike paint, which easily can be changed, stone is forever. We finally decided on quartzite in Crystal Tiffany (green/white tones) and Scarlet Crystal (pink/lilac/gold tones). My pictures don't capture their true beauty, especially the Scarlet in sunlight - WOW. The Tiffany was delivered to our fabricator Euro Tile and looks great in our primary bathroom, see pics. This morning we heard from our fabricator regarding the Scarlet Crystal delivery. Although great care was taken in storing and delivering these 2 quartzite slabs, something happened in transit leaving both with several hairline cracks rendering them unusable. OMG what a way to wake up. We called PSS, Zack answered and said as soon as Euro Tile called refusing delivery he already ordered 2 replacements from the same lot - that's very important otherwise could be different colors. He assured us it would arrive next week by 9/1. That's custom service.

I did an entire lap of the store and had to stop by a desk and ask for someone to help me. Wendy came over and was knowledgable and friendly and e-mailed me a quote a few days later. Fast forward eight weeks later I e-mail her back on a Tuesday ready to order~ I include the specific SKU and let her know I'll be waiting on ordering a hood and to let me know how to proceed. She is out of office and it auto forwards my e-mail to Jordan. Wednesday comes and goes and I don't hear back so I call the shop on Thursday morning and let them know I'm ready to order and speak to Jordan who mentions that I'm probably right and there was a price increase since then and that he'll look it over and send me a quote again. I don't receive an e-mail until Friday afternoon from someone else, Marcie who resends me the exact same quote from before with two hoods and a range when I had said twice I was ready to order the range and let me know how to get that processed. I was asked for my phone number and address again and waited for a reply to get my order placed- but I guess they went home for the weekend. I sent that over and didn't hear back again until Monday. I went ahead and placed my order Sunday with another retailer which ended up being $500 cheaper than the quote they sent over anyway. I was disappointed to see that PBK included a $200 shipping charge when I live a handful of miles away and could have accommodated a pick up if that was an option.

Their service and knowledge are top notch. There are far too many choices and brands out there to easily navigate on my own and clients don't want to pay for me to do the research each time. Premier makes it easy from having a dedicated appliance person (Nick) to keeping up on all the newest products and knowing which are the best made/less prone to problems in the long term. And providing demonstrations as needed. For the first time in my career I am working on a starter home kitchen with pre made cabinets and clients who needed a high quality, beautifully designed but low end price point. Jordan gave me the same high level of service I have received when clients are spending 10 times what these clients could afford. They are the best in town and statewide. I have had two out of town projects and Jordan referred me to the local showrooms. Same great service and attention to detail. I highly recommend them.

My house was built in 1962 and most of my bathroom components were original. I wanted to have both…read morebathrooms remodeled because they were both very ugly and depressing. I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for bathroom remodeling and will use them for future tile work. Thank you, Vitex! -Josh

We had our kitchen remodeled using the contractors and staff at the Sacramento Kitchen Mart…read morefacility. It's hard to know where to begin because the experience with KM is so different from that experienced with typical contractors. Communication. Typically a major frustration with contractors was in fact excellent with KM. Emails and calls were returned in a timely manner and they go to great lengths to explain the process and provide a detailed timeline. Duration of work. We had gotten estimates of 4-6 months to complete our remodel; KM was finished in a little over a month. They stuck to their schedule (despite problems that arose with suppliers) and always communicated any changes that were required. They handled all of the permitting requirements, and in Davis that is not a small task. Notable is that a KM staffer came to the house the day of final inspection and looked at the whole house for potential problems. He replaced ALL of our smoke detectors at no cost just to make sure there were no problems with the inspection. The Davis inspector was very impressed with the work and passed the job without any concerns. Quality of work. We had superb craftsmen work on our project; John and Zachary and Joe were all just excellent. They took pride in their work, showed up on time, and always communicated what they were doing. They took great pains to minimize dust and overall mess. Huge sheets of plastic were placed floor to ceiling to localize the dust and debris. Sheets of protective material were placed on the floor. Everything was done in a professional manner. The supervisor of our project, Edgar, was remarkable in watching over the project and being there whenever needed. Sourcing of materials. KM can provide pretty much everything you need with regards to cabinets, fixtures and some appliances. The quality of all materials from KM was excellent and so much more convenient than searching it out on your own. I have to add, however, that their recommended appliance source, A-1 appliance, was very disappointing. A-1 failed to order our rangetop despite it being paid for well in advance, and their installers were incompetent and rude. Our project foreman, Edgar, intervened and was a lifesaver in getting a rangetop in time to prevent a major delay, and in fixing the poor installation provided by A-1. Cost. We had many estimates for our remodel and KM was far from the highest. Their estimate was very accurate and very reasonable considering the quality of work, convenience, and the speed with which the work was done. In summary, Kitchen Mart stands way way above the pack when it comes to the often tedious and stressful process of remodeling your home. They offer a one stop solution, do superb work at a reasonable price, and complete the work in a very timely fashion. We plan to have them do our bathrooms and in fact would not consider anyone else.

I only bought cabinet hardware; knobs and handles. They do not have inventory on site. They order through a vendor. Their selection was diverse: styles of colonial, Victorian, farm style, traditional, mid century, futuristic, funky, fun, artsy, modern, industrial, etc. Quality brands. Even though I was not dropping a ton of dough, I was never treated any less important. I worked with Jessie, the owner, and Cora. Top notch customer service. They were slightly less expensive than other options, but I liked the veining and was assured by Jesse that they were good quality. After installation, it was apparent there were rough spots on the slab and that it was bowed in the middle. The installation was worse: they did not check the peninsula for squareness first and instead just installed a crooked counter top, flush with the cabinets at one end but an overhang at the other. They cut the quartz inside my home without protection (leaving fine dust all over the floors and furniture), the seams were rough and messy, there was chipped paint off my walls, and they even left oil stains on my driveway. Customer service was nonexistent. My concerns were dismissed by Jesse- he told me I must be picky and hard to please. He was patronizing, has the air of a snake oil salesman, and offered zero resolution. I am so grateful that this was only a 5k countertop job and not a whole kitchen remodel. Lesson learned.

Is it because I'm not white? Is it because I'm young, and people think that I'm broke? Is it because my clothing is dirty from working on a project? I left the store.
