I've had Caribbean patties before, most of them fried because I grew up in the south, but a friend's mom from childhood would fresh bake them for us and I had missed that for so long. These patties reminded me of that and I had a Ratatouille flashback moment with it. I don't exactly remember what was in the patty, but it was the fall medley, and it was warm, cozy, and so pleasant. The lady at the front of house asked me what I thought and I could tell she really cared about the fact that I enjoyed it. About 10 minutes later the roti came out (and I think waiting for it made the experience even better), and my goodness every single bite was just fantastic.
