Worst Chinese food I've ever had waste of $60 Huge portions but zero flavor. Never again read more

The food 2/5 good, but the front-of-house service is completely ruined by the attitude of that young man. Whether he's an employee who hates his job or an owner who doesn't care, his miserable, hostile attitude makes for a terrible experience, absolutely abysmal service. The man working the front counter is incredibly arrogant and treated us like we were an inconvenience just for ordering. With so many other great Chinese food options in the area, there is absolutely no reason to tolerate this kind of disrespect. I will not be returning nor referring. read more

I went to fill out an application and the lady at the counter gave Me the meanest attitude as to what I was doing there. I told Her Im filling out an application because the sign said they are hiring. After She snatched My applicatipn I sat down and a regular guy who orders all the time said thats how she treats people all the time and thats why they are losing people who order. Her attitude towards the public is obsurd and not ok. I took My application back. I will not be ordering or referring anyone to this establishment as long as Shes there. I must be one of the pickiest people when it comes to legit reasonably priced Chinese food. I'm from California and after traveling to different states, California, in my opinion, still stands as the #1 best in Chinese food, aside from the burritos and street tacos. Wong Wok is definitely up there. Upon entering the restaurant, it looked really nice. We were seated immediately in a booth. We didn't wait long to order either. I ordered the egg foo young lunch plate and mushu pork. Both dishes were delicious! Very tasty. The egg foo young was perfectly made and not every Chinese restaurant makes it the same. Wong Wok made it the way I like it. Not too starchy, they added the perfect amount of bean sprouts, protein, and gravy. I enjoyed the egg drop soup as well. My boyfriend ordered the spare ribs lunch plate which is basically called bbq pork in California. Same dish, different name. As far as the service, it was perfect. Best service from a Chinese restaurant that I've had in awhile. The woman was really nice and checked on us frequently. My overall dining experience here was excellent. Can't wait to come back. Thinking about this place is making me hungry again. read more

I use to order all the time before and after the remodel, I couldn't get enough of it. I love the new dining room. I decided to give them another chance. For the most part the food tastes good. But I feel like the quality of the ingredients has gone down. Could be a vendor or just cheap produce and ingredients. The eggs rolls are not cooked properly, they were very greasy. I had a Dinner combo 2 - lo mein , pork fried rice and fried shrimp. Two medium shrimp pulled and stretched into a wrap in a spring roll wrap and deep fried crispy. I felt like it was wrapped in a napkin and fried. The shell should have been crispy. Undercooked. The rice and noodles looked great. Photo quality. Looked better than it tasted. The rice had an underline burned flavor. The lo mien was like a min or two over cooked. Noodles were too soft. There were two people running the front a Hispanic women and Asian women. I tried asking if they could put the rice in a separate container from the lo mien. I thought a simple enough request. But nope. Asian lady was kind of rude about and told me to order it all separately. Charge me an extra buck for styrofoam container. read more

This place comes fairly recommended on Google maps, so I figured why not give it a try. Let me say, I'm not quite sure what the rave is about. Yeah, it's Chinese food. But it's not out of the park 5 star food either- adjust your expectations. My wife ordered sesame chicken and I ordered general tsao (they call it general ting here). There was no difference in either dish, which I find frustrating because general tsao/ting should have a little more spice than sesame chicken. Just my opinion. read more

Wong Wok used to be so good. The past two times I've ordered the food, it tasted rancid. I will not be ordering from them again, and I won't recommend it to anyone. read more

Today we ordered take out. The food did not taste fresh. However, prior to even eating the food, the server was very rude and obnoxious. She threw my friend her change instead of placing it in her hand or on the counter. This restaurant has really fallen off in my opinion. The wait staff look as if they are unpleasant snd do not wish to be bothered. If you want to make money in America by servicing people, you need to be a people person. read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant. I never do these reviews but I felt like had to for this one because of my love for Chinese food. I drive 26 min from my house in CT to Springfield just eat from this specific place. The rice is 10/10 and the serving size MY goodness you have leftovers for later. Shout out from CT. Matter fact I'm driving out there right now after this snow storm. read more

We came upon this restaurant driving by and thought what a funny name for a restaurant. And we were glad we stopped. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles and compliments. Maybe because we were also wearing Halloween costumes? Lol. The service was impeccable and friendly. On top of that the food was fantastic. It takes a lot for me to say the food was fantastic. We love this place. Whatever you are doing as a restaurant don't stop. We loved what we ordered tonight and we will be coming back. A lot. read more

This is still the best Chinese food I had. This is my 1st stop in town and I always order food to take back with me, on the fight back to AZ. I love it here. read more

Been eating here since I first moved to the area. Portions are amazing food is good in quality . They know me and my #12, #8 and #3 order

I ordered a combo plate on take out and very politely requested that they pack the chicken fingers separately from the rest of the meal so that they stay crispy as when in the styrofoam they tend to get soggy by the time delivery is made. Received a nasty note on receipt that said they don't do this with combo and refused to do what I the customer politely asked for. Plus many times when you order they don't pack soy sauce in which if you ask for more they charge 25 cents extra. Packing in the kitchen needs to improve and the desk people need to be more courteous. Its a shame because the food is very good but attitude is poor. They had better watch out because they could lose business all because of rudeness and not trying to please the customer. There are many, many chinese restaurants around. read more

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Tonight I ordered the pu-pu platter for 2 like I always do, but for some reason they were off their game, the chicken fingers were hard and tasted old, the shrimp rolls were chewy and I also get a side order of spring rolls and they tasted like they sat in oil, they were really greasy....ruined my appetite tonight. Doesn't mean I won't be back though... read more

Enough is enough. This place used to be excellent but despite the price increases in product they have willingly shared with their customers the quality has decreased significantly. 0 accountability when they mess up an order. I've gone here for 25 years. Would no longer recommend read more

Food was great, # 8 is always fresh and hot when you order. Will definitely be back at least once a week

Always good food. Chicken wings have changed a bit. I don't like gummy skin, so I normally substitute the wings for chicken fingers.

I normally like their food, gotten take out many times and was well pleased. Went there and sat in for dinner. The service was very sketchy and inattentive. The food we ordered came totally out of order, main dish came first without the sauce and the appraisers came in later. My wife's main order came last and was not what she ordered. All the foods were greasey. They all seemed be coated with oil, even when you picked them up with your hands (egg roles, chicken fingers), slimy. The bill was not itemized, just the total. It even came to haunt me in the middle of the night, some of the worse indigestion and my stomach still feels quezzy. Wish I could give a better review, based on my past experiences but we were both very disappointed and it will be a long time if ever we go there again. read more

Been coming here since I was a kid. I use to brag about this place. No matter where I lived (Maryland, South Carolina, Florida) I would only eat Chinese when I was home and I could get Wong Wok. I used order from this place pretty often, however today they took an 1hr 45min for the food to even get sent out the door today. I was willing to overlook this until I found my fried shrimp was very poorly cleaned and then I found some sort of bug in the plain fried rice. When calling the restaurant back, without even an apology or any sort of remorse they said take it up with DoorDash as if they weren't the ones who cooked the food. Absolutely will not be going back again. read more

I'm extremely disgusted and honestly disappointed because I really like the food from here but I just found a bug/ smaller roach in my food and it was in the rice where it's harder to see. Wong Wok - Pork Lo Mein, Fried Shrimp, Pork Fried Rice - Chinese Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

Wong Wok has always been my favorite Chinese restaurant. and I have tried many many different places. The reason I love it so much is because they give HUGE portions for what you pay for. Their lo mein is so unique. the taste is delicious and I haven't found a place that replicates their lo mein style. Their crab rangoons and short ribs are delicious too. The only negative I'd say is some of their chicken can be a little dry on the inside. To make up for this though, there is no other place that makes duck sauce like theirs. It's very sweet and has an almost applesauce texture. It goes really well with the chicken fingers, egg rolls, fried shrimp, and even just drizzling it on top of everything. read more

The Staff is RUDE AND CHEATED WITH THE BILL The waitress an older woman was so rude towards us while ordering. She throws the paper napkin and filled the water in the dirt glass. It was nasty. Furthermore they cheated the bill with additional $13. For 4 dishes (Chicken Noodle soup, Chicken Teriyaki - Small, Vegetable LoMein - Small, Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts - LG) Bill came to $45. We paid with additional tip and while in the car we calculated the bill and it came around $32 only. They give check on a piece of paper without any dish price and just the total amount. Literally this restaurant is ripped off us with additional bill money. I read same ripping off money experience from another customer in Google review. We won't be back. Felt cheated and this restaurant should be ashamed!!! Big cheaters are here..beware of your bill..double check the bill and ask them to give price for every dish you had...else they will rip you off...NEVER EVER GO THIS RESTAURANT. Wong Wok - Chinese Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

They may not be the prettiest to look at, though they're prettier than some, but Wong Wok is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Springfield and the greater Pioneer Valley. Chinese takeout places are a dime a dozen in this city, and while the quality of some are passable, eating at any of them can be a crapshoot. For many years I'd trek out to Amherst to get sit-down-and-eat Chinese food--until my spot of choice suddenly closed--because of this fact. But with Wong Wok you always know what you're going to get; enormous portions that taste so good you'll want to clean your plate even if you're full. Like any situation where the staff is primarily made up of immigrants or non-native English-speakers communication can sometimes be a little tricky with the Wong Wok wait-staff. But the servers always try to give their best to please their guests and they keep your water-glass full. My usual order is the huge serving of chicken fingers, the heaping bowl of chicken fried rice and the overwhelming platter of General Tso's (I think they call it something else) chicken. But if you're on a budget, or you just don't want to have to take food home (although you still might have to because their portions are HUGE), you might want to opt for a combo plate. Yes, they serve a chicken fingers, "General's chicken" and fried rice combo. Whatever you order though, there's no better place for Chinese food within the Springfield city limits, and if there is in any near-by town I don't want to know about it. Wong Wok is where it's at. read more

Solid Chinese American food. The fried wings here are the size of turkey wings and wonderfully seasoned really very delicious. The portions are quite large and the price point more than moderate and I do like that they have a small portion menu just enough to snack. This is a good stop, they do an above average job when compared to the many other options in the area. read more

The food served here was disgusting. We ordered chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, beef w/ broccoli, and crab rangoons. The noodles in the lo mein were dry and tasteless, the chicken was not cooked, and the beef was extremely salty and dry/hard to chew. I will never order from here again. And, in case you don't feel like scrolling - other reviews complain of ROACHES found in food, expensive pricing, and racism (charged a service fee and lied to black woman). read more
