Prices are good, massages are great.. the guy who runs the front desk is a jerk. I was going here for massages since the place opened. My friend and I had an appt for 90 min massages.. Around an hour before my friend told me she would be running late. For the entire hour, every ten mins i tried calling to alert them that we will be running late but no one answered the phone so eventually I left a message. Around 10 mins before the massage the front desk man called me, as is customary when you have an appt. I told him that my friend and I would be running around 30 minutes late. At this he scolded me for letting him know 10 minutes before that we are coming late. I didn't even bother to explain that I had been trying to call for the past hour and told him to go F himself. I love this place. I'm here (at least) once a week for a 90-minute session. The facility is small and the spaces are tight but it's clean and professional. All of the rooms (and the rest room) are well-maintained. You'll feel comfortable here. And the employees...wonderful people. Friendly, patient, and accommodating in spite of an occasional language barrier. I see a masseuse named Xixi (pronounced "she-she") and her work is amazing. The massage is blissful. I've had a few sessions with other employees and these too have been excellent. Also...for birthdays and other gift-receiving holidays I now get gift certificates to this place. This place is definitely hidden. I found it only because of Yelp. I have been sleeping the wrong way and I jacked my neck up. I wasn't able to get an appointment with my chiropractor so this was the next step. It's cute and little. The prices are kind of high if you use to going to foot spa. But cheaper then a regular spa. When you first walk in you are greeted by the warm staff and you tell them what type of massage you want and they escorts you to a room. No doors just curtains. The massage was really good, way better then my last spa experience. I felt like I was getting a deep tissue. I explained to the man the pains that I was feeling in my neck and was absolutely disappointed because he didn't even touch that area. However, when I got up I no longer felt the pain I was experiencing so he did an awesome job. They also offer cupping for additional $15 which is a plus for me and they offer head and hand massages. I got a head massages and it was definitely out of this world. A little painful but definitely felt good. I was healed when I walked out. The place is tiny and cramped. There is no waiting area because the masseuses are in there waiting for customers. Also there's not much privacy, the rooms only use curtains as doors and they don't even reach the floor. As I walked in and I saw cars and toy trucks lined up along the hallway outside the rooms. There weren't any kids while I was there, but there's evidence of them. Which is kind of creepy because I'm sure they'd be looking under the curtains of each room. The rooms also have metal framing every 2' which means they were put together by a handyman. Obviously you can hear right through them. I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to lean against a wall. The last thing that bothered me, was that they used timers. The kind that you use while cooking. So every 30mins or so you'd hear an alarm going off, which was rather un-relaxing. This is the first place I've experienced this issue. read more

I need a foot massage and body massage at least once a month. I am a regular customer at MSpa on Queens Blvd and although they do a good job, the setting of their massage chairs for foot massages in their open cold lobby is not always the most relaxing. A friend and I walked into Wonderland without an appt. but given that it was mid-day, they were open and available. They gave us a massage room, even for our foot massages. These people are good at what they do - and I am super grateful! I tried this place on a whim (actually, I was unable to stand up straight without pain and was completely desperate for help!) and left delightfully surprised - and impressed. I should also state that the first time I stepped in for a massage was the first time I had ever had a massage. My back was completely wrecked (turned out my running shoes went kaput) and I needed some quick therapy. At my first visit they asked if I was ok having a male masseuse. I said "fine", but then I would have been ok with Attila the Hun doing the massage. I just needed to be out of pain. Gerry was terrific!!! That day and every time since I've gone for the deep tissue massages. They all have different styles and most of them are extraordinary. I would recommend Gerry, Amy and Kylie (I think that was her name!). The prices are very reasonable - $50 for a 1-hour deep tissue massage. The space itself is small, but seems to be kept up nicely. It's always clean when I go and the rooms are private. Reading reviews of other massage spas, I've heard about co-ed changing rooms. That wouldn't be for me. How I used to love this place. Like watching the end of any of the Toy Story trilogy, I feel sadness (and back pain). There one was a masseuse name Sophie. She had hands of silken gold. Sophie went back to China (or so I'm told) and the quality went right along with her. Did I try the other masseuses? Yes, I'm insulted you even asked. I'm not that snobby. Did I go on different days? Of course! I'm a busy lady. Why are the other massages so bad? I have lots of knots. I'm a stressed person in a small frame and I need someone who knows what they're doing, isn't afraid to put on some pressure, and isn't intimidated by my knot collection. Nothing remarkable about this place, however on the wall above eye level the tip they are suggesting is 20-50% for a massage. Mind you the room is dim at best. If you want the massage to be 65 then state 65. I went there for the first time this past weekend. Everything the poor reviews say about this place are true. It's inexpensive at about $50/hour. My hour sessions were far from relaxing. I kind of stood in the room alone for about 5 minutes before I noticed the sign giving me instructions to get on the table. The therapist dropped me off and didn't leave me any directions. I wasn't expecting a fancy spa experience, but at least some quiet and not a beeping timer. They would benefit from some quiet music playing in the background. The message itself was... rough. Had my massage done by Lulu. She asked me what type of massage I want and how much pressure. I asked for medium and she stuck with it. Throughout the massage, she asked if everything was okay. Highly recommend. I got the 60 minutes massage for $45 plus tax and a 20% tip. There are two smaller sofa chairs in the waiting area. My only comment is that it was a bit chilly inside the whole salon and it gets cold when only a towel is covering you. It can get a bit noisy if more than two therapists are working and talking to clients, otherwise it is nice and relaxing. read more

I am very much a spa connoisseur. I get a massage roughly 10 times per year as far as a full body massage. Are usually get a foot/leg rub 1 to 2 times per month. I have had both of those things at this place, and I have definitely had worse, but I have also had better. The fact that this is in my neighborhood makes it super convenient. I feel like they could get better massage tables in there. They are definitely not the most comfortable. Also, because they are in close quarters, I feel like they should make an effort to keep their voices down a little bit more and maybe turn the relaxation music up. Years ago they used to be a good place but this place is a rip off. I don't think they have legit massage therapists. I've been there 3-4 time hoping if I had a different person that maybe it would be the one. But after me last "almost" visit I'm over it. I went there to get a half an hour massage. I rather to have it done on the chair because I was not comfortable laying down from an injury. The told be if I wanted a chair massage for 30 mins in the CHAIR rather than laying down there would be a $10 additional charge. That is just ridiculous!!!! I went here today with a friend of mine, we both got the 30 mins foot massage. It was good and relaxing and felt great after having aching feet from a lot of pressure/walking. This was my first foot massage and definitely will come back for the hour one and also hot stone. The only con is that the rooms don't have doors, just curtains so you hear the talking outside or when customers enter/exit. But I was we to block that out... so it was manageable for me. I have been to this place three times in the last year, and enjoyed each visit. Today I saw Lulu. She has a great technique, perfect combination of soft and firm; I walked in feeling like a pile of rocks and left feeling like a bowl of jello. What the other reviews say is true; there is no acoustic separation, and you do hear other timers beeping and people coming in and out. Personally, I am happy to compromise on this point for the trade off- a very reasonably priced and well executed massage in a clean and comfortable room. I came to this place sevaral times. At the beginning I I felt it was 5 stars but over time my decision changed. The front desk and the theeapists are nice. This place is cheap. I realized the massage is a bit inconsistant between each thearapy and get deffrent results. Some times I am really happy (because the therapist work very well) and some times I am not so much beacuse I feel a little pain. The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear sounds from other roooms and from the stablishment. ( sound like the clook beeping from the next room, or sometimes people talking, even when the phong rings.) First walking in I was skeptical about this place, it was very dark and kind of gloomy. The restroom was filled with junk and flies, I should've left then but against my better judgement I stayed. Today was the first time and most probably the last I will visit this place. Even though, the massage was 'ok', and definitely not one of the greatest, I had to wait for a while to be taking care of and the massage therapist was literally 'on top of me' for half of the time, which actually hurt my knees pretty bad. The best part came when after paying for a short session, I handed the therapist some extra dollars to show my appreciation for the work just done, and she refused them 'demanding' a specific dollar amount as a tip; and here, I thought the 'tip' was supposed to be voluntary and not forced on the customer...What a way of conducting business! I received one of my worst experiences ever getting a massage when I came here on 08/10. I used to come here fairly often but stopped a year ago since they never had stable staff (making the experience hit or miss). I came across this place again on yelp while looking for a massage parlor and saw a recent review recommending a specific masseuse. I called and asked to schedule an appointment for 08/11 and asked if she was available. She grabbed the phone and said "I am not available tomorrow, come today". I figured "sure, why not" and scheduled an evening massage after work. When i got there she did not greet me and instead stared at me wide eyed like I was there to commit a crime. She paced around and eventually placed me in their couples massage room that smelled horrible (like it just had a major leak and you had that moldy carpet smell). She told me to get ready and left. After she came back she asked me if it would be ok for 2 girls to massage me at the same time but cut the massage time in half for the same price as an hour. I vehemently disagreed and told her it is not something I would want but she kept insisting and even gave a "discount" on the hour rate. Since I was already there I decided to go with it (my biggest mistake) and the next 30 minutes was one of the most uncomfortable, unrelaxing massages of my life. They absolutely rushed the massage and talked during the whole thing. There was even a point a third woman joined the room to have a conversation.... As soon as my time was up I left and got out of there as fast as I could and ended up with noticeable pain in my shoulders that I had to get fixed at another masseuse. I don't know where to even start with this HORRIBLE NASTY place. The people that work here are despicable!! Never will I ever give them any business. My friend got me a gift card for a massage and facial for my birthday two years ago. I made an appointment on a rainy Sunday and went inside. Bear in mind, not one person was there so in no way shape or form was it busy. I go inside and they take a look at my gift card and say that it expired. Please note that NOWHERE on the gift card does it have an expiration date. I kindly asked them to reconsider it and please offer their services, as my friend spent good money on it and nowhere does it say anything about any expiration, and my back was bothering me for quite some time. I also called my friend on the spot and asked her about the expiration, and she said they didn't even notify her verbally, let alone with any written proof. They still refused so I asked if I can speak to the manager. They put me on the phone with someone who was very rude and hung up on me! I continued to try to talk to the two women that were there, but they were sitting in the lobby area and completely ignored me, as much as I was trying to get their attention. Again, it wasn't like there were any other clients there or like I was taking up their time. I was the only one there, explaining nicely my end of the situation. Yet they still ignored me and were acting disgusting. The customer service here is horrible and their complete disrespect and disregard for clients is horrendous. The fact that they pocketed my friends money, and the gift card not saying anything about expiration, and not offering anything in return is extremely dishonest and downright stealing. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are many other options on Austin st where I'm sure you'll get a comfortable, relaxing and respectful treatment.
