My top ten reasons that I am loyal: 1) Lily and Jenny are talented massage therapists. She had the anti-aging facial and I had the 1hr deep tissue massage. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They had us change into our robes and guided us to our rooms. My mom said the facial felt amazing and rejuvenating. Not only was her face treated, but they extended the facial to her neck and chest. They also included a head massage, arm stretches, and an upper lip wax. For my deep tissue massage, my masseuse (I wish I knew her name) was very attentive. Before she began, she asked if I wanted medium pressure or hard pressure. Given it was my first massage I selected medium to start. I have a lot of tension held in my back, due to working on my feet in healthcare, and she really helped relieve years of tension I've gotten used to living with. I go to the front desk to ask if there are slides or slippers. My feet got really hot in the sauna I was wearing socks . One must either be in socks or barefoot. I asked him about the additional services and he said the women in the locker rooms do those. The woman in the locker room are the "masseuse " or "esthetician" in a sense. Before entering the wet room (one removes their spa uniform showers ) before using the jacuzzi steam room and cold plunge. Ok so I decided to get the Korean body scrub and massage. The body scrub was better than the massage. I braced myself each time I was rinsed with water. A basin of water gets thrown on you. The massage included a facial and I appreciate her massaging my stomach where I tend to get fibroids. The facial left my skin glowing . Overall i probably won't go back but i feel encouraged to check out higher end spas and treat myself more. I think these spas are good for sauna unless your gym has one. It was an ok value. I get the salon and use my voucher and for some reason we go straight into the room without consultation and then I bring up the wing part of my eyeliner as we walk into the room and then she redirects me to an examples of the eyeliner tattoo that I would be getting. I was shocked and told them what happened and asked for a refund bc they wouldn't do my desired thickness. They tried drawing the "Smokey" on my eye vs what they would be tattooing on me. I began to cry bc their Groupon tattoo was nonexistent and their Smokey eye wasn't even that thick. In the end I couldn't get a refund so I just opted do get it done. They gave me an offer to pay $100 more for more thickness but I have no extra funds for that so they added on a little more thickness and a small wing that isn't even matching in length. I will add the final results when they heal. Also, my technician Nicole was really nice, caring and patient. I moved around A LOT and she was so gentle and kind to me. Anyway if you're looking for a thin clean line definitely come here. But if you're looking for a more dramatic Smokey look then I would advise going elsewhere where. I wish they clarified and had more details in their Groupon descriptions or this whole fiasco would have been avoided.

This location is the first Massage Envy in Queens and is very popular. If you have a favorite therapist, it can be difficult to schedule a monthly appt. with him or her, or even more difficult to see them twice a month. You need to be flexible; weekends are often booked in advance. I have found this to be the case at three out of four Massage Envy locations I've used. One difference between seeing an LMT in private practice and a Massage Envy LMT is the private practitioner has more leeway with a full 60 minutes and time spent with client on intake, basic chit chat and feedback after session. I can appreciate, however, knowing I should receive a good professional massage at any Massage Envy I book at. Licensed Massage Therapists will tell you there is variation in style and approach by each therapist - communication about goal or outcome of massage with front desk staff and with your assigned LMT is crucial. Another thing I appreciate about Massage Envy chain is the blanket and sheets and heated tables that move up and down are spa quality. No robes, no slippers. Yes to lemon water in the Tranquility Room (aka dark lounge where you wait for therapy VS natural lighting lounge by reception). One needs to decide if you like the monthly price of membership and will actually make time for a minimum of 12 massages or facials over a year to make membership worth it.
