Sam and a worker were both told that the liner needed to be placed in the garage as it was not the homeowners. When the owner of the pond liner showed up to pick it up 2 workers threw it off of the roof and then threw the cinder blocks down as well. unfortunately, when they threw it down, it was in two pieces instead of one. When Sam was asked about this when the roof was finished and paid for Sam refused to take responsibility for what his workers have done. The roof itself looks okay, but to have an owner of a business blame the issue on someone else and not take responsibility is very frustrating. Just know what you are getting into doing business with someone like this. When I called and asked him about it he admitted that his guys cut the liner and then said the job went south and there was nothing he was going to do to make it better.

First off, our experience with customer service over the phone was always pleasant. They answered our questions, found us the accommodations we needed (we requested an RV spot and cabin) and made the necessary adjustments. Bridget and Patty were awesome! Next, we loved the location: right off the interstate and easy to find. Chevron and Shell, among others are just outside. It's also located next door to the Forest Ranger Station. From here, plenty sights in Shasta and Redding are an easy drive. Third, this RV park is well-maintained and carefully kept in order. It is definitely small compared to many other RV resorts: their sites are tight, they've no individual firepits, grill or camp rings, and there are no other fancy amentities (which is just right for these times of social-distance protocols.) The shared showers and toilets are cleaned daily and garbage bins are rarely overflowing. Some sites have a patch of grass, while others have gravel. Some have sturdy plastic picnic tables; others have wooden ones. All sites have shade from mature trees; which is also great for some nature sounds by the birds as well. There is a nice pet enclosure for the dogs to play and romp around leash-free. There are only 2 cottages and we're so glad we lucked out on one of them for the Memorial Day Weekend. One of my aunts is semi-disabled so it's hard for her to camp out in the heat. The cottages are a perfect complement for a family like ours. All in all, we were so pleased with our stay over the Memorial Day Weekend. The owners and staff are great--very hospitable and respectful. They enforce certain rules and guidances inside the park but it works for a peaceful, enjoyable stay for every camper. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area!

The…read morecampground is mostly small tent spots but they had two yurts: site 20 has a twin/full bed bunk and a futon, and site 22 has a queen bed. Fire rings, and flush toilets in good condition. You can overlook the lake a few yards behind the campsite. Be aware that this campground is across the street from train tracks and the freight train rumbles by several times day and night, and you'll hear the freeway too if you listen. However between trains I thought it was pretty peaceful. There is a small grocery store, laundromat, and local pub nearby. Verizon cell service was poor but AT&T was ok.

Falcons, Impalas, Cougars, Rams... you'll hear them all night long from the I-5…read more Being right off I-5 at Shasta Caverns Road is convenient if you want to avoid driving too many miles of narrow, winding, bumpy road. However, you will hear traffic all day and all night long. So, to be honest, it feels more like a really lush and natural rest area. Bailey Cove Campground is situated within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest near Shasta Lake, operated by the Shasta Recreation Company under a special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service. Coordinates: 40.8° N, 122.319° W. Elevation: About 1,082 feet. Each campground has a parking space that fits trailers up to 45 feet ($12 for extra car), picnic table, bear locker, fire pit (w removable grate), potable water, with a little marker that identifies your reservation. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and nice smelling. The ranger on-site (Bryan) is friendly. Bailey Cove Trail is a 3-mile loop trail that hugs the shoreline, open to hikers and mountain bikers. An adjacent public boat ramp (closed during low lake levels) provides easy access to Shasta Lake, for boating and fishing. Lake Shasta Caverns (separate review) is a 10 minute drive away. There are 7 campsites. I would avoid #1. Even though it has the best access to a small, flat beachy area, it is much too close to the large parking lot and roads to the boat ramp, so it's heavy traffic. #2 and #3 are fine, and perfect for groups because they seem to create one double site. Our spot #2 is just steps from the bear-proof trash can, which is convenient for housekeeping but potentially inconvenient for noise. #3 is closest to a sketchy trails past poison oak to get to a private lakefront beach area. #4 and #5 are probably the best sites if you like seclusion. They dip down below ground level, which might help with noise. #5 has the advantage of having more shade and being closer (but not closest) to the bathroom. #7 is the furthest back, offering less road noise, though I suspect they are subject to the most flashlight light from the campers below walking (maximum 210 steps from Site #2) to the bathroom. I would avoid #6, which is so close to the bathroom it should be renamed #2.
