The restrooms need to be updated and restroom doors were open 24/7 which made me feel unsafe. If you visit, please be careful and lock up your bikes and put valuables away. My e-Bike was stolen from the hitch. The place is limited on lights and is very dark. The fencing is outdated and access is open and no in and out gates, completely open entrance and exit. There is a bit of homelessness so just be careful when you visit this RV resort and area.

This place isn't going to be same without him there coming out to greet you when you pull up. He was always so helpful and knowledgeable. My family always got the same site (A-51) so for nostalgia I had to book that site as well. I could have sworn when I was a kid there were wooden bear boxes, but they no longer exist (odd because I remember seeing a bear as a kid, and the grounds crew guy also mentioned bears coming through the camp ground) but that was no problem for us since we have a truck camper and keep all items locked inside. Our fire pit was a little run down, it was an old square brick type, and the bricks were crumbling off.. a little bit of mortar and a few replacement bricks and it would be perfect though. The pool area was just as I remembered from being a kid. The snack bar was great (yay for huge ice creams). The bathroom on the tent side of the grounds could definitely use some attention, one stall door has issues closing, the shower leaks into the toilet area during high usage, and one of the toilet paper dispensers won't remain secured on the wall. We had a good over all experience. The kids (6&9) loved playing in the pool and at the playground all day. We definitely plan to come back. Hopefully a few maintenance fixes for the bathroom areas happen, but all in all it was awesome to relive some of my childhood with my own kids.

Best campgrounds we've stayed at…read more Used the tent sites, & all of their tent sites were nice. Nearby restrooms 3 bathroom stalls & 3 shower stalls. There's even a laundry room. Fire pits were good too. The tent sites were SPACIOUS too I mean for my party of 6, we had 3 large tents with space & 2 trucks parked out of the way. Our site even had 2 benches. The shade provided by the trees was great, because as hot as it was, when we were present at our site we enjoyed relaxing underneath the shade. Front office staff were all very nice Saydra, Ricky & Whitney. All friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. There's also a campground store & grill. Grill food was fresh & bomb. Store part was great they carried a variety of things; ice, sunblock, water toys, camp lights, wagon, & so much more. They even have cute souvenir clothing, shirts, tanks, long sleeves, sweaters, hoodies, sun hats, sunglasses. The deck has great benches with umbrellas for shade with a great view of the lake. There's corn hole just have to ask for the bean bags. Mondays there's bingo. There's a pool 5ft. deep you have to leave a $20 deposit for the key at the front desk. Wood is cheaper here than at the Chevron. Campgrounds FAVE was the frosty (ice cream) Every morning when I went to use the bathroom, I witnessed staff cleaning the restrooms. So HUGE thank you to them for that. They even empty the trash bins throughout the day, through out the day you can catch someone on the golf cart roaming the campgrounds to make sure everything & everyone is good. There was always hot water, & cold water when needed. In the middle of the campgrounds there's a FUN playground with swings for the kids. There's even a basketball court & volleyball court too. This campgrounds is located in a great area too. Walking distance to the Antlers Marina(dock), short drive to a bunch of great swimming spots. A bit pricier than a few spots that we've stayed at but this campgrounds is WORTH IT! Definitely going to return, alsooooo upon checking out when I was at the office to double check if I needed to do anything else there was a long line in front of me of campers planning on returning too, booking their dates for 2024!!

We didn't use the laundry or restrooms because it had full hookup, so I can't rate them on this. They do have a dog area, but we didn't use it either. We ended up saying screw our $100 deposit and we turned around and left!! So we drove from campground to campground and they were all pretty scary or full!! Shasta isn't what it used to be!!! That being said...we decided to yelp campgrounds closer to Redding...we figured that the drive to and from Shasta Lake wouldn't be that bad from Redding. So we found this place...OMG!!! We are so happy we did!!! Premier Rv Resort is so clean & peaceful!!! (Only downfall is no campfires)...and there is a waterpark right next door (even though we didnt go to it...it looked pretty cool)...Dayna the manager and her daughter were so wonderful!! They actually told us about Whiskeytown Lake...which we had no idea was even there...such a beautiful lake...we were there everyday!!! On the way to the lake there is the remains of the mining town of Shasta...small little town but it was interesting to stop and look at the historical ruins! There are also quite a few really nice brewery restaurants...I like craft beer (hubby drinks bud light water...so i get to pick the spots...lol)...all within a 10-15 minute drive from the resort! Good beer...samplers available...good food...good service!!! I really thank our lucky stars that we found Premier RV Resort!! We will be back there...already planning it!! We also feel very fortunate to have met Dayna and her daughter!! With all the info on the area we received from her it really made our vacation one to remember as one of our best RVing trips!! I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! It totally saved our vacation from being ruined!!! And if you're in Redding you have to see the sundial bridge...its pretty cool...and the bike path that will take you all the way to the Shasta Lake dam is awesome too if you like to bike!! We also took a few hours and drove up to Shasta Lake to go to see the Shasta Caverns...very cool thing to do!! All in all we really loved this trip!! Thank you Dayna!!! You were so amazing!!

This was only our third RV Resort experience, and it sets the bar pretty high!…read more While many RV resorts lack online booking and a system to receive guests past their office hours, Premier makes this easy. We booked same-day by phone, and received a confirmation email with instructions for after-hours self-checkin. Upon arrival, we picked up a personalized envelope containing a park map and rules, amenities key card, and directions to the assigned spot for our 40' RV. Lovely grounds with paved roads, concrete parking pads, and a landscaped picnic area for each site. If clean and spacious bathrooms matter to you, you'll love the ones here! We didn't stay to use the other resort amenities, though the pool area, social house and shaded path benches looked inviting. I don't often review campgrounds but so many people commented on specific sites and no one…read morecommented on Site 11, which is the one I booked this weekend so here you go future bookers: We were able to fit two single backpacking tents and two larger two person tents but both the official tent spot and our unofficial spot had notable, but tolerable slopes as noted multiple times in reviews. There is a parking spot for site 11 across the campground road near a pit toilet. Flush toilets are located on the other side of the parking lot, which is right next to site 10. Site 10 seemed like it had a nice lake view. You can see the lake through the trees from site 11. There are no bear boxes! You store food and toiletries in your car at night. Wing wildlife included mosquitoes (light), yellow jackets (heaviest mid morning), and very loud cicadas. My ears were ringing like I went to a loud concert. I have to assume that's seasonal. There's a "boat launch" past the flush toilets near the tent cabins that was nice for setting up a few camp chairs and entering the water in floaties. There were a few other beaches further on but they were full. There was a kerfuffle over an inflatable kayak while we were there so keep an eye on your things! The lake was shockingly not ice cold like many CA lakes I've been in but it was also 100 degrees out. We stayed in for hours. So nice! Intimate campground with sloped sites and nice lake access- overall a pleasant stay!

Some feedback on the campground: - The glamping site bed is super comfortable. We fell asleep instantly and got woken up next day by the morning sun. - The glamping sites are set up well, have enough space, each come with a fire pit, 2 plastic chairs, 2 wooden chairs, a full table + benches and a LED lantern. - The bathrooms at are clean, flush toilets. The ranger is re-stocking toilet paper daily. Big plus! - There are no showers at the campground. Good news is that you can simply take a swim in the lake :) - There's no cell phone reception (AT&T, at least) once you leave Redding. - This is a pretty small campground, which is really nice because you have a lot of space and it's not too crowded. As with any campground, it can still be noisy with kids or other neighbors that talk at night. You might want to bring earplugs if you don't fall asleep easily. You can overlook the lake a few yards behind the campsite. Be aware that this campground is across the street from train tracks and the freight train rumbles by several times day and night, and you'll hear the freeway too if you listen. However between trains I thought it was pretty peaceful. There is a small grocery store, laundromat, and local pub nearby. Verizon cell service was poor but AT&T was ok.
