Scheduling was pretty easy. I was able to schedule a new patient exam appointment online within a week timeframe. Once booked you receive a confirmation via email, and will most likely receive a confirmation call the day before as well. The dental office is located in a small plaza with plenty of lot parking spaces. I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and given a few new patient forms to be filled out. The entire office is friendly and knowledgeable. Appreciated the communication from everyone - front desk receptionists, the X-ray tech, Dr. Sharma, and the dental hygienist. Yup - I lucked out! They happened to have an opening for a cleaning so I was able to get both my exam and cleaning performed on the same day. Glad to have found a great, new dental office!

The technicians cleaning the teeth are good, but for dental work stay away. I've had problems with onlays and crowns falling off, the most recent crown right before Thanksgiving 2025. When I went back to re-cement the lower crown, the dentist noted that it was "the wrong kind of cement. See how it's flaking off," he said to the assistant. Then they left me in the dentist chair for about 40 minutes, and the office manager came in with a card reader, and presented a bill for $250 to reattach the crown. "Didn't I just have this crown put on?" I asked. She told me it was an old crown, done in 2017, so it wasn't covered. Since we were going into a four-day weekend I relented, but when I got home I went through my dental records - that crown was only 22 months old, so I felt I was misinformed. But the worst part is that I was sitting in the dental chair for almost 2 hours, listening to the grinding and filing in the next room. Yet I did have an appointment. And after that tortuous visit, the newly attached crown still felt too high, painfully pressing on the molar above it, because the harried dentist didn't have time to ensure a proper fit. Meanwhile, 5 weeks after being reattached, the crown has already fallen off, but I won't be going back to Central Coast Dental. end

I also got more than one canceled dental appointments-- one that literally cancelled a day or two before I went in---, which future delayed my dental needs for the main reason I want to their office. They also do NOT give you a breakdown of costs if you ask--- I got a run around regarding the paperwork and had to physically go there in person to pick it up weeks later. I can't recall her name but someone was apologetic about it saying she had been by herself -- but at the end of the day, it shows the location is being flakey and the clerical stuff is not helpful. Im just getting giving a two star because the place looks nice and the dentist they currently have is nice and communicates well, especially if he does not feel comfortable doing a specific dental procedure.

They deliver the best quality crowns and root canals. They deliver partial dentures that are acrylic and not metal. The staff cleaned the place every day. They have an extension clinic in Marina. I have a feeling that Real Estate is so expensive. It's hard to retain the dentists. One thing is for sure they try to recruit experienced dentists.

No need to ask why she didn't stay, I'm so sorry to see that my friend went through similar billing issues. I honestly couldn't believe what she shared with me, similar issues I encountered. I really wish he would go with a billing company and remove his wife from ruining his reputation. I'd go back , that's how much I liked him and trusted his skill level. I have found a good dentist and I'm happy now. I personally did not want silver caps on my sons two front teeth because school pictures we're coming up and he was also soon going into grade school and I did not want him to deal with the scrutiny that comes from mean children because of his teeth and how they looked. I opted to pay cash OOP for the white caps as my insurance did not cover white and only silver. $700! I opted a three payment plan situation and by the time of his appointment had paid two of the three. After the procedure was done I found that not only were the caps BRIGHT WHITE in comparison to his other teeth but ALSO the left was LONGER than the right side. Absolutely unhappy I contacted the office to set up a follow up appointment letting them know I was u happy. Long story short, dr. Morris informed me that they did the best they could and unfortunately were unable to do ANYTHING about the extreme discoloration and uneven length of my sons teeth. And in fact even told me that although I thought the job had been terribly done, he thought he did exceptionally well!! Great to know even though I WAS THE ONE paying for it and not himself. I left extremely pissed off and informed their billing department I will NOT be paying the final installment of our payment plan! It seems like to dr.morris if you have denti-cal (even though I was paying cash OOP for the white caps) he treats you as if you are just number and being a dentist in salinas ca for low-income families you see hundreds of patients a day, everyone is the same and quality is sub-par.
