Dr. Do is the best dentist I have ever gone to, and I have seen MANY dentists/dental specialists due to my complicated teeth history and moving around constantly as a military spouse. Dr. Do is hands down the best I've encountered. His bedside manner is exceptional, he is very kind, GENTLE and explains everything you need to know very clearly before and along the way. The office staff are also quite pleasant and friendly. One thing above all is this office is HONEST which I cannot say for most dentists /dental specialists that I have seen over the years and also in the Monterey area. I recommend him to anyone who asks and even people who don't ask. I can only hope to find a place like this at every duty station I move to. If I could give 10 stars, I would. First, the staff is incredibly efficient and kind. I get text reminders about my appointments. I get "happy birthday" texts. There is no wait time. Sometimes, Doctor Do himself leads me back to the room. The whole office is calming. Second: The assistants are competent and knowledgeable. I get the feeling that with every task they perform, they know exactly what they are doing and they are kind and comforting. Third: Dr. Do has exactly the right touch. He is careful, considerate, and extremely skilled. He lays out every option if you need to make a decision. He does not impose his opinion, but guides you through all of any possible outcomes. I was so impressed when he wanted to do something with my teeth that the insurance wouldn't pay for-- he called me back in, convinced that he could make them change their minds with another set of XRays. He was right. He saved me a thousand dollars because he cared. His mannerism is gentle and compassionate. As you might tell, I can't recommend him highly enough. By far the best experience I have ever had at the dentist! I had lots of work done at my last visit with Dr. Do and couldn't be more happy with the process, quality care, and results! Dr. Do and his team are all fabulous at what they do, kind, knowledgeable, and work hard to give patients the best experience possible. Looking for a new dentist can be a challenge. A savvy patient will do whatever research she/he can, but in the end, it's still kind of a shot in the dark. I read the reviews I could find for Dr. Do (all very positive) then called the office to see if they are wheelchair accessible, and to set up an appointment. I was quite pleased with that first phone contact and the receptionist's courtesy and attention to detail. My actual appointment was equally satisfying with the office staff and Dr. Do himself going out of their way to accommodate me and my power wheelchair - not an easy request from my perspective. I doubt its every dentist who will balance on a stool, squeezed into a corner in order to work on a patient confined to a wheelchair that only just fits into the exam room! I am extremely relieved to have found such a professional, courteous and accommodating practice. read more

I don't enjoy going to the dentist but the staff at Do's is well-trained and professional. On a recent day off, I had an early morning appointment to have a cavity filled. Fifteen minutes before my appointment, I was telephoned by the receptionist at Dr. Do's to ask if they could postpone my appointment by a half hour because they had a plumber on-site making a repair. Every company will tell you they value their customers When a company values a half an hour of my time it shows me they really care about me. The work performed was done in record time with no discomfort. It is clear that Dr. do is a skilled professional who takes pride in his work and the patient's experience. His office is clean with off-street parking and boasts all of the modern devices to treat and educate his patients. read more

This is the best dentist I've been to in the area. He know his stuff and I trust that the work that needs to be done is what needs to be done. I've been to other dentists who hand me huge bills and lists of work to do which I find skeptical and make me feel as if they are just out to use up every dime of my insurance money. Not so with this dentist. He fixes what needs to get fixed and that's it. Great staff. Great dentist. Oh, and the girl at the front desk speaks Spanish too. =) read more

Dr Do is a great dentist and his office is fantastic. The staff is kind, courteous, friendly and accurate. There are no surprises, all billing items are discussed up front, and there is never any issues with missed posting of payments etc. We have NEVER had to wait, the office runs on time. It is easy to schedule appointments and emergencies are handled swiftly, This is a top notch office. Dr Do is competent, caring and gentle in his manners; up to date on current methods and treatments. We move a lot so we have seen many dentist, Dr Do is the best! I provided crown and bridge lab service to this dentist. The products that was provided, he turn around and charged patient $1000. You would think he would pay his bill when he charge a patient so much. I tried to call him to collect and he would not take my calls. He even received an iPad from our company as a promotion. As a patient I suggest you think twice when you see this person because when he look at you, he would only see dollar sign and perform service that you may not need. If he is out there ripping off businesses who are trying to make a living, what would you think he will do to his patients. Greenhaven. read more

Matthew Do is my dentist and all my family goes here to their teeth done. This is located close to the downtown Monterey and Post-Graduate Navy. I found this place because he is the only Korean dentist around Monterey that I was recommended by my friend. Even though this place is small and has 4 parking lots, their skills and services are the best. Especially Krystal, who works in the front desk, is the best of all. She knows most of the patients, who comes and goes. Also, she is really friendly and very approachable to ask everything you need. Furthermore, Dr. Do is really friendly and professional at what he does. Their equipment is up-to-date, unlike other dentist where it is old. They really care about your teeth being well-kept and well-maintained. Lastly, they will really work with you if you have financial problem. read more

I searched for a dentist in the area and came across great reviews regarding Dr. Do specifically. I am here to state that the reviews were exact, as I as well had a great experience throughout my visits. One I don't like dental visits, I needed a lot of work done, yet minimal time to complete as I was in the verge of moving out of the area. The office is friendly and efficient. The dentist is fantastic. Sensitive to your pain level. Current tools and excellent quality work. Dr is up front and talks to you as a person. As a new patient, I was very happy with my experience at Dr. Do's office. He is very thorough & explained everything at each step of the exam & did the majority of my cleaning himself. He displayed my xrays on a pc screen & explained what I should & should not be doing to ensure the proper care of my teeth. His staff is friendly, courteous, on time, & helpful I felt very comfortable & pampered. They gave me a an extraordinary goody bag when I left which was a nice touch. I was nervous but they were so professional and kept it light. They were all so friendly, approachable, professional and had humor in there as well. They made me feel comfortable. Aside from the great customer service, they know what they're doing. They make sure you know exactly what you're paying. They also know exactly what you need to be done. They do not charge you just to charge you, they only recommend what you truly need. They're also really kind when it comes to pain tolerance.
