While waiting for the crown to be delivered the pain has been increasing yet whenever I call and the times I have physically gone inside to ask about an ETA for the crown I paid for the only response I ever get is "we get shipments everyday we'll call you to set an appointment". Every single time I call. I mention how long it's been, I mention I've called before, I mention the pain - I get the same response or I'm put on hold for 10-15 minutes awaiting an answer that is "the doctor will call you". No one calls. Three months of this and my recent call went exactly the same as the others - the woman who answers the phone says "oh really" when I told her how long it's been and that now there is redness and the pain is becoming more frequent......I am told to wait. I was initially led to believe the crown would be completed "within two weeks," making this three-month delay especially concerning. In the meantime, I have a visible gap in my smile, persistent redness in the gums, and increasing pain when inhaling or eating hot foods. I'm unable to properly brush that area, leading to plaque buildup on surrounding teeth, and I can only chew on a small portion of my mouth because even small bits of food are beginning to cause discomfort.

All I remember was that something was making my jaw hurt so bad that I had semi-fainting spells. I couldn't think straight and I couldn't get ANYTHING done. Worst of all, I couldn't eat ANYTHING regardless of how appetizing they were. In other words, something I didn't really think twice about is now IMPORTANT enough to demand all my attention. I was freaking out about how bad my cavity must be. I was dreading the possibility that I would not have to remove my wisdom teeth (and stressed with the image that another stupid oral surgeon left by showing me his "hammer and chisel"). I just didn't like the feeling but was motivated enough by the extreme pain to go deal with it. Thank all things good, however, that it wasn't a cavity nor had it anything to do with my wisdom teeth. It was just a bloody popcorn kernel that had wedged itself into my gum. I have zero cavities and am part of small percentage in humanity that will never get one. =) Long story short, I've been coming to Dr Jang's office since my move to Monterey and have had no complaints regarding his practice. For one who doesn't really like dentists since childhood, he has been the first dentist that I'm willing to remain with due to his professionalism and thoroughness. He doesn't do "hammer and chisels" (remove wisdom teeth) so that thought alone keeps me seated instead of running away whenever I'm here for a cleaning. Great dentist and friendly staff. Definitely recommend for those in the area looking to establish a dentist! 15/03LR

No mention either that they were not in network anymore. So we went from $0 copay for cleanings and x-rays to now owing over $800. I had no reason to question the trustworthiness of this office until they did this. Totally unfair and deceptive practice(s). The dentist failed his duty to make the pertinent disclosure(s). I thought I would give them another shot since my friend recommended this dentist so highly. So I made an appointment for a cleaning... I came 15 min early for my appointment as I do with all medical appointments just in case they need me to fill anything out. I waited and waited and waited. People who came in after me got called in while I waited past my appointment time. Finally, after waiting 10 minutes longer, I got back up to the counter to ask what my appointment time was, they confirmed the time and stated they were setting things up... WHAT, I think the receptionist might have completely forgotten to check me in because once I said something then they took me in a couple minutes later! How upsetting that they don't value people's time. As I mentioned this dentist was so highly recommended I wanted to give this place another chance but the front desk staff didn't meet my expectations. This is the second time they have had a mishap here. First with my "scheduling" enough time for my crown and now forgetting to check me in. Wow. I am so disappointed. The doctor was great! Very nice and explained everything clearly. He cleaned my teeth and told me about some fillings coming loose and about needing to replace them. I definitely think this dentist is better than the one I had been seeing for a few years, at least he remembered me from the first visit I had lol. That's saying a lot. While laying in the chair, comments were made like, "Why didn't they cap all your front teeth since the ones capped look better"...Not everyone is made of money. They were very insensitive to how much dental work costs even with insurance. Felt like a money scam since they said they would cap them and they just tapped my teeth to tell me which teeth needed cavities. I never received any print-out about what would be done and how much it would cost. They also referred me to an endodontist for a $250 x-ray that I asked not to do.
