Dr Lindly is amazing, but unfortunately, his wife (think it's the wife) runs the office and the billing is a MESS. I have a friend who was looking for a great dentist, I warned her about the issue I had with the wife, my friend (S. H) was looking for a good dentist and gave them a shot. No need to ask why she didn't stay, I'm so sorry to see that my friend went through similar billing issues. I honestly couldn't believe what she shared with me, similar issues I encountered. I really wish he would go with a billing company and remove his wife from ruining his reputation. I'd go back , that's how much I liked him and trusted his skill level. I have found a good dentist and I'm happy now. Dr. Lindly--I'm not sure if your wife is the person in charge of the front, I want to say she is, please remove her, I do not have any problem paying what I owe, but she's all over the place with explanations when questions arise. After a more recent experience I believe some of the office staff excluding the doctor, are good people. His bedside manner is very poor.

Went to have a tooth, repaired and front teeth, grind it down because they were jagged, he didn't give me any Novacaine, because he thought I didn't need it. It was very painful, he was very unkind and told me to stay still I told him I needed the gas or Novacaine after several attempts, he finally gave me the gas so he could do the work on my teeth, he has no sympathy for anybody who has pain when I left I paid for the procedure and then I was sent to Bill for more money. I was given an amount that was due after the services I paid it, and then was sent a bill a couple months later. The front office staff is very minimal. One person was very kind the majority of the time, but had a difficult time with estimate with Insurance and what I was supposed to pay. The most important thing is, I left there with a terrible impression of Dr Lindley, he over charges for an implant of one tooth. When I talk to him about a tooth removal after my procedure, he got up and walked away from me I definitely would not recommend the dentist to anyone who has any pain sensitivities or anxious about seeing the dentist read more

I just got work done by Dr. Lindly. He was absolutely wonderful and all of his assistants and dental techs were great, too. They were very honest with me and flexible about pricing based on my insurance coverage. I'd seen a dentist before this that told me I needed a root canal, but Dr. Lindly looked at my x-rays and said "No way. It's a deep cavity, but we can fix this." So glad I didn't need a root canal. The other thing that really made him stand out was this: I've been told by a few dentists that I need a bite guard because I clench my teeth at night. Over the counter ones were too uncomfortable to sleep in. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth at Dr. Lindly's office saw the same issues and talked with Dr. Lindly. They decided that, because my insurance doesn't cover the bite guard, they were going to be flexible with me in terms of pricing, and they helped me get to a price that I could afford. He's the only dentist in the practice. He has an oral hygienist and at least one assistant, plus a front office person or two. Every single staff member I met during my two sessions was friendly, sensitive to my needs, and just all around gentle with me. I have a little bit of a fear of dentists because of a bad extraction from when I was a kid, so these folks were so, so perfect for what I needed. There was hardly a wait time for either of my appointments. They have a beautiful waiting room but I didn't really get to use it. Dr. Lindly and his assistant are phenomenal! They fixed a bad crown that was done by a different dentist and they made me feel so comfortable. Much of the pain I was experiencing from the badly done crown subsided almost immediately. The temporary crown I am wearing while I await the new crown to be made is 1000000% times more comfortable than the permanent one that was previously taken off. I have gone to Dr. Lindley for years and have always had an excellent experience with him and his staff. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I love Mary and my hygienists! Once I had a filling done toward the back of my mouth and the anesthesia made the back of my throat and tongue feel more numb than I expected. I kind of had a bit of a 'freak out' because I felt like I couldn't swallow. (Not the dentists fault . . . I am a little over-sensitive sometimes.) Nevertheless, the point of my story is that Dr. Lindley sat with me until well after 5:00 until I realized I was going to be fine & calmed down. I felt bad because I was the last patient and was keeping him from going home to his family. I kept apologizing and he told me not to worry about it and that he would take all the time I needed. My best experience ever. I am visiting Monterey with my husband who is in a conference. Dr. Lindly has commendable expertise and most of all he was compassionate beyond words. A crown on my front implant broke on my visit here in Monterey and he spent a great deal of time to repair it for my maximum satisfaction. He also took the time to explain future course of action for preventing future disasters of similar kind. Above all, I cannot believe he told me to call him anytime on the weekend in case I want him to come to the clinic to repair anything. Didn't expect to see only 1 hygienist for a family of 4 getting their teeth cleaned which turned into me saying I can't stay past a certain time after all who expects to spend 4 hrs getting their teeth cleaned. I was then lectured by Dr. Lindly about how much he has to pay the hygienist for the hour I can't stay (I had to go to work)! Oh and that he doesn't make any money on military families (like that's my fault)! So I rescheduled my cleaning but then cancelled I won't be going back he was very unprofessional! To top it off he wanted me to call off of work! I am editing to respond to the comment: I have always gone to private dentists I have never experienced a 4 hr appt. I did consider you and your time and my schedule by taking the 8 am appt slot I didn't have to be at work until 12 and I usually arrive 15 min early to be on time! If you make no money on military patients that's on you and it's very unprofessional to tell me about what you do or don't make and how much you pay your hygienist what 57$ for the hour. I also notified you immediately when I realized time was an issue I was not disrespectful if you or your time. I Have have since found a great dentist Dr. Bayless who will more than meet my families needs. And I am still waiting on the bill from MetLife and if it shows you billed for a cleaning I will be sure to let them know you only took X-rays and never cleaned my teeth. I will also not recommend you or your practice to anyone which I had done b/c you came recommended to us. In fact I let our orthodontis know how horrible the experience was as well, they quickly put me in touch with a new dentist. Good ambiance of the clinic with a very nice view. Mary is wonderful! She always managed to answer all of my question. Easy to make an appointment and if you can't make it they are willing to work with your schedule (which works for me a lot since I have a job too). Now Dr. Lindly is amazing! Going to the Dentist is pretty hard for me to do and finding a good one is hard enough, but Dr. Lindly, Elsa and Mary are so great! I went in as an emergency add on due to a tooth ache and Mary fit me in between patients and scheduled me in the following morning. Elsa was so caring and always checked on me to make sure that I was doing okay, she even held my hand during the initial injection of analgesic. Dr. Lindly made sure I wasn't going to feel pain and I was very reluctant but I hardly felt any pain at all. The dentist is the last place I'd ever want to be but this office surpasses them all! So it's not like having my fillings replaced is my idea of a great time or anything, but Dr. Lindly and Elsa made it a quick, painless, and dare I say almost enjoyable experience. They're so empathetic and kind, and they made a point to say they weren't in a rush so if I needed to take a breather that it was fine. They explained what was going on, and what to expect, and I'm almost looking forward to going back to get the other side done. Almost. And Mary... Mary is a *gem.* I wish all medical front desk staff were of Mary's caliber. The offices are beautiful, with views out over El Estero and from the chair you can see the lake or trees and local wildlife! Dr. Lindly has been my dentist for many years and he is an excellent dentist. He has a great staff that always has a smile and is very nice. Like everybody in these economic times I struggle sometimes. I cannot afford dental or health insurance, so it's hard putting aside money for my dental care and sometimes I go too long for my cleanings etc. Dr. Lindly understands this hardship and does everything to make getting dental care possible. He lets me make payments on my crowns, so I do not put it off until I break a tooth. He does not try to overcharge or up-sell you on anything, explaining that my Target mouth guard as long as it stays put in my mouth at night, will work just fine, so I did not have to get a $1,000 specialty mouth guard. He has a very nice office that overlooks Lake El Estero. It is super clean. He has up-to-date magazines in the waiting room with complimentary bottled water, although I never have to wait more than 5 minutes if at all. I highly recommend Dr. Lindly. read more

Dr. Lindly saved me!! I had a broken front tooth and needed immediate care. I couldn't go to work with my ugly tooth. I called and they saw me an hour later!! Dr. Lindly repaired my tooth in 40 minutes!! It was painless and it looks great!! I am going back for a veneer next week to fix my tooth permanently. I was recently vacationing in Monterey and Carmel when my front tooth broke off at the gumline from a very old root canal. Our hotel recommended Dr. Lindly...we called and he saw me in less than two hours. I was very pleased with the temporary front tooth he was able to create so that I was able to continue having a great time with our friends. Now that I am home again I have seen my regular dentist who complimented Dr. Lindly's skilled expertise and will be able to give me a crown because of the excellent care I received.
