Every single time I call. I mention how long it's been, I mention I've called before, I mention the pain - I get the same response or I'm put on hold for 10-15 minutes awaiting an answer that is "the doctor will call you". No one calls. Three months of this and my recent call went exactly the same as the others - the woman who answers the phone says "oh really" when I told her how long it's been and that now there is redness and the pain is becoming more frequent......I am told to wait. I was initially led to believe the crown would be completed "within two weeks," making this three-month delay especially concerning. In the meantime, I have a visible gap in my smile, persistent redness in the gums, and increasing pain when inhaling or eating hot foods. I'm unable to properly brush that area, leading to plaque buildup on surrounding teeth, and I can only chew on a small portion of my mouth because even small bits of food are beginning to cause discomfort.

Today I went to CaliDental in Marina. I was very skeptical at first. Reasons: One-they're IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. Two-The options for MediCal dental recipients aren't very good as far as quality + quantity of participating clinics. I found the doctor, assisting staff and front desk to all be very friendly & helpful. They're also attentive to insurance details so you don't get any unsuspecting bills. I'd definitely recommend this location. As for the communication? They do send automatic text and emails for you appointments but realize their phone system is having difficulties. They're in the middle of fixing that but are always there to assist if you stop in.

I had no reason to question the trustworthiness of this office until they did this. Totally unfair and deceptive practice(s). The dentist failed his duty to make the pertinent disclosure(s). This is known as silent fraud. Will go to small claims court if necessary....who's got an extra $800 lying around? Not me... We are now looking for a new dentist - and I bet other DOD employees are doing the same as most DOD employees here have the same insurance!

While laying in the chair, comments were made like, "Why didn't they cap all your front teeth since the ones capped look better"...Not everyone is made of money. They were very insensitive to how much dental work costs even with insurance. Felt like a money scam since they said they would cap them and they just tapped my teeth to tell me which teeth needed cavities. Like the grandpa I've never had. Nadia (receptionist) is a sweetheart! I enrolled in a dental discount plan that unfortunately, he is not on their providers list. So, I'm going to cancel the plan and just pay out of pocket. It's really hard to find quality people that do exceptional work! So I'd rather just pay out of pocket and be a loyal client.
