Sometimes, Doctor Do himself leads me back to the room. The whole office is calming. Second: The assistants are competent and knowledgeable. I get the feeling that with every task they perform, they know exactly what they are doing and they are kind and comforting. Third: Dr. Do has exactly the right touch. He is careful, considerate, and extremely skilled. He lays out every option if you need to make a decision. He does not impose his opinion, but guides you through all of any possible outcomes. I was so impressed when he wanted to do something with my teeth that the insurance wouldn't pay for-- he called me back in, convinced that he could make them change their minds with another set of XRays. He was right. He saved me a thousand dollars because he cared. His mannerism is gentle and compassionate. As you might tell, I can't recommend him highly enough. We're only here another month and they got me in IMMEDIATELY for new patient X-rays and eval. I knew I needed some work done and have been able to make all 3 appointments before leaving. The staff are all incredible. They address you by first name when you walk in the door when I had been there only once before. Everyone I have come into contact with at the office has gone above and beyond to help out. I always have a million questions about what they are doing or using and they gladly explain everything to me. If you need work done, the front desk will give you the exact price of what to expect instead of the run around. They also do her best to get you the best price possible and is very knowledgeable about insurance and what tricare will cover. I even got a personal phone call from Dr. James himself a few hours after my last appointment to make sure my pain was under control. They were very honest with me and flexible about pricing based on my insurance coverage. I'd seen a dentist before this that told me I needed a root canal, but Dr. Lindly looked at my x-rays and said "No way. It's a deep cavity, but we can fix this." So glad I didn't need a root canal. The other thing that really made him stand out was this: I've been told by a few dentists that I need a bite guard because I clench my teeth at night. Over the counter ones were too uncomfortable to sleep in. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth at Dr. Lindly's office saw the same issues and talked with Dr. Lindly. They decided that, because my insurance doesn't cover the bite guard, they were going to be flexible with me in terms of pricing, and they helped me get to a price that I could afford. He's the only dentist in the practice. He has an oral hygienist and at least one assistant, plus a front office person or two. Every single staff member I met during my two sessions was friendly, sensitive to my needs, and just all around gentle with me. I have a little bit of a fear of dentists because of a bad extraction from when I was a kid, so these folks were so, so perfect for what I needed. There was hardly a wait time for either of my appointments. They have a beautiful waiting room but I didn't really get to use it. Everything was sparkling clean and the chairs were super comfortable, too. I know these are little things, but they made a difference to me.

When you get to the chair, they'll have sunglasses for you so the lights aren't in your face, and if you are having a long procedure, you can watch a video of your choosing. But more importantly, the dentists (I've seen Dr. Simonsen and Dr. Melhem both) are kind, gentle, and thorough. I had two crowns, my first ever, a few years ago, and I was VERY nervous, since I have had previous fillings and extractions with inadequate anesthesia. The office has a long and detailed questionnaire where you can identify your triggers and they offer you ways to ameliorate them. I started feeling the work partway through and Dr. Simonsen stopped to re-numb me, instead of carrying on like dentists I've had in the past. They also offered breaks, and got me a ball from the prize chest to squeeze so I wouldn't maul my palms. The hygienists, Alison and Lisa, are also both great. Friendly, gentle, and detail oriented.
