We popped in to check it out finally - long time Wolf's Ridge fan. So - Zach was our server, and their hair was absolutely glorious, and yes, that deserves a call out. The atmosphere - it feels like they kept the vibe of Worthington Inn with twists to their brand, without feeling ostentatious. It's nice, it's pleasant, it feels like the Inn. The food: it IS ostentatious. It's not a place to come and think "I will figure out what I want when I get there".- the food is eclectic, different, not standard. We opted for the steak and pork chop - both were seasoned perfectly, and delicious on their own. My steak came with a (almost gummy) creamy mashed potatoes and cauliflower (overall, delicious). The pork came with a veggie medley - it was a bit much and unnecessary for the dish as a whole. So right now - it's a big swing. They're different from the other offerings in the area, and I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing, yet. But it's closer to me, which means it's easier to to keep an eye on them here and see how they grow. read more

So Dinner at Worthington Inn/ Wolf's Ridge... A Total DISAPPOINTMENT. We were hoping for a nice Anniversary dinner, which we didn't quite get. 1)Hostess Station. The girl said she'd seat us shortly. A guy who I think was a manager, took menu to another table. He never acknowledged us in any way. 2) they have a full service bar but couldn't make a Kir Royale because had no Chambourd??? Then couldn't make an Espresso Martini as they don't have an Espresso machine. 3) Food. Also disappointed with menu I understand they've only been open 3 weeks but the main course selections were UNDERWHELMING! We decided on a couple starters to share. Wolf's ridge has opened at the old Worthington Inn location. We came here for brunch. The menu is somewhat limited, but if the food is good, that doesn't matter. My wife and I shared the eggs Benedict. They came out split from the kitchen itself, which was a nice touch. The English muffin was nicely toasted, and the hollandaise sauce was just right. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the steak fries were excellent. The Service was polite and courteous, and the ambience is quite nice. We didn't get to order any of the cocktails that they offered but I had a black tea and I was satisfied with their selection. Overall a nice meal and I look forward to returning. read more

Went with a group for dinner to Wolf's Ridge. Love the remodel they did for the restaurant it's beautiful and has many aspects that honor the original inn! We ate in the main dinning room that mimics the original wallpaper with their own wolf twist! Loved the bar room as well! I cannot wait to see what they do with the basement speakeasy! I have been waiting for a long time to check out the newly reopened Worthington and with Wolf's Ridge brewing as the main tenant. It is nice to have the Worthington in back open again after after being vacant for a long time. My friend and I had shared the spring lettuce salad. I had the tender Bone-in Pork Chop with spring potato, fava beans, oyster mushrooms with a roasted citrus vinaigrette which was delicious; and my friend had the Lamb Bolognese with lamb, campella Pasta, and mushroom ragu. My dessert was the Sticky Toffee Pudding with chocolate cardamom and vanilla ice cream, while my friend had vanilla ice cream. Like the other Wolf's Ridge brewing Downtown, they serve Boylan's bottled sodas. I have suggested adding Boylan's fountain soda because Northstar Cafe has them. Overall, the food was excellent and will be going back to Wolf's Ridge at The Worthington Inn and very nice to have The Worthington Inn open again after it stood vacant for a long time. It pains me to write this, as I was so excited for the reopening of the Worthington Inn under Wolf's Ridge ownership, but we just had an extremely disappointing brunch. First, the good things: the interior is great, especially the gorgeous bar area. The decor features aesthetically pleasing nods to Worthington History (paintings, artwork), cool signage, lighting, and seating. No TVs in the bar area is also a nice touch. Everything else today was very disappointing, however. Our server was nice, but we saw very little of them, and when they were visiting our table, they seemed to have little interest in the job or urgency in serving. It honestly took almost an hour for our food to come out, and given that nearly everything we ordered was some form of toasted / griddled bread (French toast, croque madame, monte cristo sandwich), that wait time seemed ridiculous. When it did come out, it was fine, but seemed just mediocre quality (not super warm-- I wonder how long it was sitting?-- and looking kind of messy). We also had two sides of bacon that simply never came out; when asked about it, our server said they were "still working on it." (I had to ask for them to be taken off our bill when we'd finished our entrees and still had heard nothing about them...). From what I could tell, other people were having the same issue. This could be a bad morning, but it makes me very hesitant to try again (especially when there are so many other great brunch options in this very neighborhood). Our party of 6 had a great experience! We went for brunch on a Saturday during the farmers market and Worthington arts festival. Thankfully we had a reservation so we were able to be seated immediately. The previous reviews left us skeptical about what we were walking into but i gotta say... I'm not sure i can agree with the naysayers! We were all really impressed with how beautiful the restaurant "make over" looked. The service was top notch, Charlie was great and handled our family with ease. The food was honestly pretty good! I wouldn't say any of us in our group are food snobs by any means, but not a single one of us had a single complaint and each us left as members of the clean platers club! The food arrived hot, fresh and delicious! Honestly, not a single complaint about the entire experience. We can't wait to try dinner in the future! We will for sure be back!! read more

We had a great experience at their Sunday brunch. We were greeted by Alex and a hostess who were friendly and charming. We were seated in a room that pleased all the senses. The remodel is gorgeous; we loved hearing they used a local artist to paint their walls. We ordered the full English breakfast, eggs Benedict, kids burger and kids French toast. All the food was great. The chips were tasty and my kids loved them. The eggs Benedict was very good as well and my husband loved the English breakfast. Charlie our server was attentive and thoughtful. We had visits from Alex (maître D?), and general manager to check that we were accommodated; which we were. Charlie took good care of us. We will definitely come back, LOVED the remodel, all the rooms bring such great ambiance. AND we will definitely try the speakeasy coming to the basement in the fall! read more

Wolf's Ridge does it again! We went to Wolf's Ridge at Worthington Inn for happy hour yesterday evening and it was fantastic! Our service was so quick and attentive. The Ploughman's Plate was a huge hit with the group. We also enjoyed the Burrata, smoked haddock dip, asparagus and squash blossom. One of my personal favorite cocktails in general is the Clover Club, which they had on the menu! It was one of the best I've ever had and also tried the Spicy Grapefruit Margarita. An ambitious restaurant week menu. Most items were good, some not so good, but it was the pacing and sizing of portions that killed me. Expecting me to eat a whole cheeseboard as an appetizer is a big ask, especially when you bring out my entree and dessert while the previous course is in play. Burrata was delicious. Ploughmans's plate was good but a lot. Lamb bolognese was light and refreshing for a tomato sauce pasta. Vegan scallops (mushrooms) needed to be cooked with more salt and sauce, but tasted good when added salt. Panna cotta was good on first bite but icy in the middle, and cheesecake was too sweet/not rich enough. Overall apps over entrees over desserts. Food was good. Decor was really nice. Great ambience. Service was slow, waiter very nice but we did have to keep asking for refills. They handed out sugar like it was gold. Asked for jelly for my toast, which was unbuttered, and they brought a soupy weird tasting fruit spread. I asked if this was their jam and they said yes it's house made. Little did I know they were going to charge me two dollars for it and it was not edible. If you're going to serve toast, you should serve regular preserves, jam or jelly for free. It's like charging for cream for your coffee. I'll come back later when they've worked out their kinks. I'm sure it will be better. read more

My honest recommendation: skip it. We went with friends and had high hopes because the food at the downtown location is good. Unfortunately all six of us left saying we wouldn't return. My husband and I split the fish and chips. The fish was heavily breaded, so it was mostly breading. The fish and chips w few doors down at Old Bag of Nails is much better. Another person got the burger. It should have been a winner because the burgers downtown are great! But no, a thin, dry patty with a large bun. Again, mostly bread! One person got the pork chop and she said that was delicious. The others got French onion soup and a steak. They said the soup was just ok. The steak didn't come out until everyone else was done with the meal and when it did, it was drowning in some sort of sauce. A good steak doesn't need to be covered up by sauce and the fact that it came out so late was incredibly disappointing. We also split the burrata and a charcuterie tray. Everything was "just ok". The best thing we ate were the fries. There are several other good places in the area so we won't go back. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, but not enough to make up for the poor food. read more

I'm so happy the Worthington inn opened again... but the food is just not good. Went for brunch and it was ok but then returned for dinner and the burnt, inedible fish and cold, unseasoned soupy bolognese was inedible. They are trying to do too many clever flavors that just end up being bitter and strange (welsh rarebit, items on the ploughmans lunch.) I hope it stays around, and I'll probably continue to get a drink at the bar but I won't order food there again. Party of 8 for lunch service was so- so orders came out ok drinks I ordered a regular ice tea said they were out of that type then came back and said we just received our order so I had a regular ice tea. The cost on this drink was 6.00 dollars are you kidding me. French onion soup usually is baked with cheese on top not here has a small piece of bread and a piece of cheese floating on top. We really wanted to love this restaurant as we'd been waiting for months for it to open. The food was just so mediocre and the menu did not match the servings. One of us got the French onion soup and the bowl was only half full! One dish didn't contain all the ingredients listed on the menu and everything was pretty tasteless and mediocre. Dessert was passable. Cider servings are about three ounces in a coupe which while cute was a tiny serving. Food and drinks get two stars. Service was good and the interior was beautifully done. The bar looks fantastic and that's the only reason this gets three stars. I suspect they have to replace the kitchen staff because this won't cut it at these prices in Worthington. Not sure we'll be back which is a shame because we went to the Worthington inn bar to eat a lot. read more

Went with friends. Wanted to love it. Wow. No. Had the vegan scallops. Come on. Those were just the hard stems of mushrooms from some other entree that has mushrooms. That entree has mushroom tops, and these hard stems should have been put in the compost bin. Someone said let's take those hard stems and fry them and feed them to the vegetarians and call them vegan scallops. Inedible. The risotto was terrible- uneven texture, no flavor, and then filled and topped with dried leaves and stems as garnish. I couldn't eat it. I ate 1/2 of one 'scallop' and three small bites of risotto- and the waitress came by and swooped up my plate and left. Normally, given that I barely touched any of my food, I would expect the wait staff to offer a box or to say 'was the food okay?'- but nothing- just grabbed my plate and left. That speaks volumes. She knew. $26 dollars and I came home and made myself dinner. Ridiculous. Two of my companions were unhappy- one had the burger (good fries, lackluster burger), one had fish (he wasn't thrilled- -said it was just okay). I have never written a restaurant review in my life. We spent $85. I'm unhappy and would like to warn others. Until they get their act together, it's hard to justify this. Too bad, it's a beautiful building (it was really noisy and impossible to hear where we were seated), but what a mess of a dinner! read more

We also tried a rhubarb salad which was not very flavorful (but it's a salad so...) and we shared a smash burger and steak fries that we loved. Good bartender - the bar area is about the best thing they've got going, but again, that great old building needed something more - a more passionate understanding about that location and respect for that building - something more upscale is needed there . My partner and I recently moved to Worthington, and we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a drink and appetizer at the bar to see how things were progressing. The redecorating is impressive, and the place has the feel of a a late 1800s inn with period furnishings, wallpaper, and a comfortable atmosphere. The service at the bar, however, was just average, suggesting that the place is still a work in progress, something which the manager actually said. Wine and beer were way overpriced (almost $15 a glass), although there is a happy hour, I think, during the week For the appetizer, we ordered large charcuterie plate which had assorted meat and cheeses, all of which were just average. They tasted like they came out of deli meat packages. When we asked the bartender to go over what each item was on the plate, he was unable to do so, and looked at us as if we were asking a difficult question. That was surprising. And not a way to build credibility for being an exclusive place. The people next to us ordered the fish and chips, and an enormous platter was brought out. They took one bite and sent it back uneaten, which also was a bit surprising. In general, the bartenders seemed inexperienced and more concerned about talking to themselves about their day. The management might need to work more on training their staff. As I mentioned, the bar manager (I think that's who it was), said they were still experimenting with the menu and food and drink specials. We may go back in a few months to see if the place has improved, but we are certainly in no hurry to do so right away. read more

Rooting for you, but woof. We were excited for Wolf's Ridge to land in downtown Worthington. We've been counting down to go since we need more good places in the area. And look, it was opening weekend, so I want to be a little generous... but I also dropped $230 on a meal (2 adults and a 1 year old) where the best thing on the table was my kid's grilled cheese, so let's talk. The food: the cod loin and bone-in pork chop were both cooked into rubber and missing the sauces stated on the menu. Salads arrived missing toppings the menu promised. The rhubarb panna cotta was still partially frozen (impressive, technically?), and the sticky toffee pudding was dry as a sand dune. Two for two on desserts is a tough scoreline. The service: our server seemed genuinely afraid of us and everyone in general vicinity. Not rude, just terrified. Someone get that kid a pep talk. The floor manager seemed crazy overwhelmed and the place was half full. The vibe: Remodel is beautiful and cool decor, but it's 5:15 PM on your first Saturday and you're already 86'd on two entrées AND two desserts. That's a logistics conversation that needs to happen Monday morning. I know opening weekends are brutal and I really, truly want this place to make it. We need more fun spots in downtown Worthington. But your downtown Columbus location set an expectation, and right now you're getting smoked by Worthington Tavern and Whitney House on both price and execution -- and those places aren't even trying to be super elevated. Giving you 2 stars instead of 1 because I believe in second chances and the grilled cheese genuinely slapped. Please figure it out fast -- this neighborhood will not be patient. After sitting at the bar at J. Gilbert's for 20 minutes with no service, we decided to head into Worthington to try out the new Wolf's Ridge at Worthington Inn. It truly did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and were taken care of immediately. The bar area is beautiful. The only negative was aloud table with 3 children. It would be nice to have the bar area be a child-free zone, as there were plenty of other tables in the restaurant. My partner had the draft old fashioned and I had the pinot noir. We ordered the smoked haddock dip and and the small Ploughman's Plate. Everything was delicious. We will certianly be back soon! read more

We had the ploughman's plate along with the smoked Haddock. Unfortunately the ploughman's plate was sad and one of the worst. The pickled vegetables weren't pickled. The cheese cubes seemed like they came out of bag. We were expecting fresh sliced cheeses. Also their was no mustard on the plate as described. The ploughman's plate was OK but needed more bread for the amount of cheese and pickles. Entrees: the fish and chips was only OK - serving the fish on top of the chips and slaw makes everything soggy. The vegan risotto was unevenly cooked (some hard grains of rice) and completely bland. I tend to avoid newly opened restaurants for the first few months. However, I love Wolf's Ridge and couldn't wait to check it out in The Worthington Inn. We went in for brunch. We had a hard time deciding what to get because the brunch menu had so many delicious options. The good: The eggs on the Eggs Benedict were poached perfectly. The IPA hollandaise had good flavor, but I did have to add salt. The chippies were so good and probably the highlight of the meal for most of us. The not so good: the ham was lukewarm. I asked for pepper a couple of times and never received it. My friend's poached egg was overcooked and not runny. The caramel whipped cream on the French toast was not flavorful. The AC was not working so it was pretty miserable while we were dining on a hot and humid afternoon. Only two of us had the auto-gratuity added to our checks which we found odd. All in all, I paid $50 for a meal and two alcoholic beverages (and auto gratuity) and didn't leave feeling very satisfied. read more
