This place is a wonderful example of a well maintained Irish pub in the heart of Manhattan. Most pubs I have been to are divey at best and just plain dirty at worst - this one is a welcome departure from that dichotomy. The lovely bartendress is a sweetheart and was a pleasure to chat with. The meal and drinks were actually very good, and unlimited muted brunch cocktails clinched the deal. Nice enough neighborhood bar. Almost empty at lunch on a Monday. Lunch specials for $15 which include a beverage. Twelve beers on tap, mostly craft style American beers plus Guinness. I had the fish and chips which were poor. Fries were fine but the fried fish were not good. Something was wrong with the batter or the fryer. The coating was cooked but mushy instead of crisp. It was bad enough that I mentioned it to the bartender. A fellow a few seats down overheard and agreed. He told us that he gave up on the fish and chips. I am sure that most other items are fine so next time I will try a burger. Lots of flat screens tuned to sports. Background music was something current, not loud. The atmosphere here is great if you want to grab some drinks in a low-key environment. Okay to come in with a hat or even sneakers (at least it was on a Wednesday). Spacious with plenty of seating at the bar, and also comfy half moon tables. The bartenders here are great. Attentive, conversational, and on point. While here, there was an obnoxious/rude girl lounging out at the bar that they amusingly handled very well and were eventually able to get rid of. While there, I had a few glasses of pinot noir and Prosecco. For food, I had the salmon entree, which came with asparagus and rice. I was surprised at how DELICIOUS everything was. The salmon was cooked to perfection and nearly tasted like it was breaded because the exterior had a perfect crunch to it (but it wasn't). I wasn't expecting the food to be that good, considering that pubs aren't exactly famous for their entrees, especially seafood. Also, was surprised to see a shot girl passing out free shots of fireball. Doesn't get any better than that at a bar, does it? :) Would def come back again the next time I'm in the area. read more

My husband and I came here for a drink after having a horrific experience at another bar nearby. It was our honeymoon, so we were feeling pretty bummed about how we were treated at the prior establishment. It was a Sunday night so it was a little slow, and we started chatting with two of the bartenders there. Unfortunately we didn't get their names, but they gave us a lot of advice/suggestions about New York and were so lovely to speak with. Came here on a Monday night and had most of the place to ourselves. Ordered a Moscow mule through the Hooch app that was served in a copper mug. The drink was on par with those I've tried elsewhere. Also tried the mini shepherds pie and lava cake dessert. The mini shepherds pie was just the right portion for one person since it was a hearty dish. Gravy inside was flavorful and the meat was tender. The lava cake was satisfying especially when consuming the ice cream and cake in the same bite. Service was ok. read more

So.. what does a good Hubby do whilst the Wife gets her hair did down the street....? Well, you guessed it.. Finds a bar stool at an Irish Pub and has himself a couple, three pints! Great find in the Flatiron district, a couple blocks from Madison Square Park. I arrived there hot and thirsty about 2pm and immediately noticed the wood interior and very friendly vibe you get from an Irish Pub. I also noticed one gentleman was charging his cell phone on the bar.. I guess he found an outlet underneath.. But, to my surprise and delight, they ran outlets all the way down, under the bar. How cool is that!! You know we all have to charge our phones 24/7 these days lol... So, about 25 seconds after I sat down, my drink order was taken and I sat back, plugged in my cell phone to charge, and took a big ole' sip of that heavenly brew... Yummy and cold!!!! Fast, friendly service here!!! Again, it was only 2pm, so I wasn't expecting it to be crowded, but I can see how it can and does. Also, if they open the front windows, you get an incredible breeze through the bar! Lots of TVs to catch your attention as well.. Let me finish my review on this little note.. The bathroom. It has to be the cleanest, freshest smellin' bathroom I've ever used in the city. It's nice to see things like this - because we all know, the bathrooms in city establishments are less to be desired. Opened just recently. It's an Irish pub and kitchen but they're still setting up their kitchen so currently it's drinks only. Properly decorated and it has big screens for the game lovers. The price of the drinks is comparable to the neighborhood. Not cheap, not expensive either. A beer costs about 7 dollars and a cocktail around 13. If you want to go to a cheap Irish pub I recommend Desmond's that is close by. But this one is on the nicer side. The place is so new that there aren't many people here yet, which is nice. I'm not particularly impressed with the music selection here though. I've been here for half an hour, they played apologize, we will rock you, thinking out loud and wake me up inside, etc. read more

Also, all the ATM's didn't work in the establishment, which didn't matter, because they TAKE cards. He was aggressive towards our party, stating we owed $160. When we asked For a receipt we owed $145. He gave us a "round" for free, but we were put off from his Agro ways, especially among industry neighbors, that we just left the drinks. read more

There is a level of service one expects when one is in heaven. Its prompt, sugestive, and always humbly searching for your better. Thsi is obviously imposible in its perfect quintece, but Wolfe Tones comes pretty damn close. I enjoyed it thoroughly! After a long day, it was the best place to relax, especially being so close to Penn Station. And the bar tenders are really on point! I highly recommend Devony. Great service, food and drinks... we got here by accident we were a party of six on a bachelorette trip, tried to go to another spot near by but the wait was too long so we decided to try this place instead. Chelsea was at the bar and Hector was assisting her, we ended up going with the endless brunch which was delicious and only $25 per person, but more than anything we loved the service, Chelsea and Hector were very attentive and super nice.
