I have been here a few times already. I have not had any food only drinks. The atmosphere is a more upscale sports bar with plenty of tvs. Great place to catch a game with friends, family and co-workers. This is a big bar/resturant that has plenty of seating. It does get loud especially if crowded. Great bartenders who work here. Have to give a shout out to one of them. His name is Steve who makes wonderful drinks. Great person all around. If you are in the area go check this place out. Great after work spot too.

Fish tacos after we dug in -it was so good we didn't wait to take a picture first. Lol

Grey Bar was such a wonderful surprise and the perfect alternative to a full dinner before our event! We stopped in for cocktails and shared appetizers--fish tacos and calamari--and I have to say, I was seriously impressed. The fish tacos were especially flavorful and fresh. The service was great--our server was young and clearly still learning, but so eager, attentive, and sweet. I really appreciated the warm and welcoming vibe. The barstools are quite tall (short folks, your feet might dangle!), but they were still comfortable to sit and relax in. One of the coolest touches? They have a rental phone charger station! For just $3, you can pay with your phone or card, and a charger pops out so you can take it to your seat. Super convenient and thoughtful--especially when you're out for the evening. Definitely a great spot to grab a drink, snack, and good vibes before heading out! Or Just stay! lol

I was searching for a nice hole-in-the-wall spot where I can come in dressed casually when Greys popped up on my Yelp. Inside is a bar with modern touches. There are plenty of televisions as well. I was greeted immediately and I chose to sit down by the bar. It was casual, most people were in for work food, drinks, and conversation. I went to the bathroom before I sat down and I want to say that the large bathroom has a problem locking. When I went to sit, I sat at the bar. It took a couple of minutes to get someone's attention. For a drink, I was looking for a sweet Prosecco. When I asked the bartender, he didn't have the answer, but he offered to give me a taste test. He then pulled out La Marca and I told him to give me that. I was looking for the glass, however, he gave me the bottle ($8 difference). For food, I ordered the Angel Hair Pasta. The presentation was great. The portion seems deceiving, but it's very filling. Taste-wise, the pasta was decent, the shrimp was pretty good. The bread severed with it was good, just a bit crunchy. In all, I would probably say Greg is where you can have a casual date night. It's a shame that they don't have a happy hour because I feel like it would do well in this area.

Divy sports bar that offer $25 bottomless mimosa that was unfortunately too sweet, the chicken sandwich needed seasoning. Service was decent.

If you are LGBT ‍ do not go here! The bar staff is super rude! Today the bartender sat on the bar and chatted with her "bestie". I jokingly asked for a free margarita which she complained to the owner John. $15 later John ripped up my check which is funny because it had already been processed and told me never to come back. Which is fine, because I was so uncomfortable with his bartender sitting on the bar and getting straight guys phone numbers.

Nice place right on 26th St., near Avenue of the Americas. Friendly bartenders, they mix a nice drink. A bit noisy, but consistent with a jovial and youthful environment.

We didn't come in here for alcohol or for food but after a later dinner where we wanted to find a nice place to have coffee and dessert. It wasn't especially crowded but there was a small group at the bar and a few groups at tables throughout. COVID protocols were being followed so we had to show our vaccine proof and were shown to the high-top of our choice. We ordered coffee and tiramisu and both were absolutely delicious. The coffee was SO on point it wasn't even funny. It seemed like it was fresh-brewed turkish coffee almost. Whatever they did to make it, it was amazing. I doubt most people who come here come for, or rave on the coffee, but if you find yourself nearby and looking for some and you like it, look no further. Tiramisu was also on point. Good service and decent menu. Great location.

Lollipop Lamb Chops

The Grey Bar & Restaurant was recommended by the desk staff at the hotel I slam staying at, and it did not disappoint. The place has a great mood. The bartender is very personable. I had a couple of Bearhug IPAs, and the lollipop lamb chops with shoestring sweet potato frites. All was exactly what I expected, prepared, and seasoned perfectly!

This is an okay sports bar to go for some drinks with friends. They have a few large TVs spread out around the place to watch various sports. The place is modern and well maintained and is a step up from a dive bar. Other than that, it is really just a generic place that you can find all over Manhattan. Also, the bartender was not very personable and the place did seem to be understaffed.

Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. It's a place off 8th ave where fitness meets fun, and every corner feels like home--complete with friendly staff who know your name (or at least your size) and are always ready to offer a witty comeback or a perfect recommendation. Cheers!

It definitely has the vibe of a speakeasy, especially with the jazz band playing. We went with the brunch special which is $35 for bottomless drinks with the purchase of an entree. It pays off if you're having more than 2 drinks and we made sure we did! Bloody Mary's were excellent! The food here was outstanding. I had the 3 Eggs Any Style and my wife had the Breakfast Flatbread. Those dishes as well as our friends were well made and delicious. We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

Warm lighting, good energy, and a chill crowd make it an easy place to hang whether you're starting your night or winding it down. One of the best parts is the menu. It's super affordable for NYC, but still delivers on quality. Everything feels simple, satisfying, and done right. We ordered the burger and fries, wings and fries, plus a margarita and a mojito. The burger was juicy and filling, the wings were flavorful, and the fries were hot and crispy. The drinks were solid, refreshing, and exactly what you want at a spot like this. Location-wise, it's perfect. The Grizzly Pear is close to so many things, making it a great stop before or after exploring the neighborhood, catching up with friends, or heading to another spot nearby. The service really stood out too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed vibe of the place. Overall, The Grizzly Pear is a great go-to if you want good food, decent drinks, a cool atmosphere, and fair prices all in one spot. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

Food is good, service was great. Management is horrible…read more I have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time. I noticed recently that there was a $2 transaction fee added to my bill. This was not a credit card fee (that I can understand). It is a "transaction fee" that is applied to all invoices. Are you kidding me! I have no trouble paying a an extra dollar for a burger. They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. Plenty of options for a big or small group, or solo! Our server was McKenna, who was incredibly attentive, we never felt like we were waiting or had to wave anyone down. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
