    Our wedding was on October 30th, 2021 and had around 75 guests. Julia was there from start to finish (she helped plan the engagement too!), and we could not have wished for anyone better to get the job done! From the very beginning, Julia was extremely communicative and easy going. We would talk about wedding details over Zoom and meet up at Ikea to go wedding decor shopping. Whenever we had questions, she answered right away and this was on top of working a full time job and taking care of her cute doggo (hi Augie!). She's like a seasoned professional despite just starting her business. She knows what needs to be done and exactly when to do it. She told us she would handle the tough conversations with venue pricing, inquiring, negotiation, and landed us our dreeeaaam venue. Like, guys, what more can you ask for?? Did I mention that she was part of our wedding party? On the day of our wedding, she was both bridesmaid and coordinator. That being said, our day went as smooth as could be. Every scheduled event was perfectly on time and both me and my wife didn't have to worry about a thing. You can tell she cares deeply for her clients/friends and she will go above and beyond to make your special day a day you will remember for the rest of your life. At the end of it all, we are more than happy with how our day turned out, with the whole experience, and loved celebrating with Julia at our wedding. FYI - She was doing this solo and did such a great job. Now that she has a team behind her, I'm pretty sure they can pull off just about anything!

    Julia was our day-of coordinator and she is someone you can rely on and know that she and her team will have your back. We got married on 11/22/22 and we had an American Chinese wedding. There are a lot of wins from our wedding that we know couldn't have happened without Julia and her team. 1. Perfect set up and break down: For our wedding, we had a lot of detailed DIY set ups and fragile arrangements which Julia and her team were able to oversee, set up, and break down for us which was incredibly important to us - we didn't break or lose one of our items, and finished all within our allotted hour time frame. From DIY centerpiece florals, to DIY acrylic everything - to our own slideshow and long bar set ups - it was exactly to our vision. 2. Above and beyond with our fur-children: You can count on Julia to also take on all sorts of requests for your big day. We had our 5 dogs in the ceremony which was a critical part for us and her team was able to make that happen despite the extra logistical lifts and practice. 3. Timing: the dress rehearsal Julia led was incredibly helpful to the wedding party and officiant that it set us up for success that on the actual wedding, we started ON TIME and had buffer time for any set backs or emergencies. She was also great at guiding our guests in a swift manner to the ceremony and then the reception room despite the open bar 4. Fun: Although we hired Julia and her team for only the day-of, we felt like when they were with our families, wedding party, and guests, that they were part of our group - they were friendly, social, polite, and incredibly professional. 5. Vendors: she managed and worked with all our wedding vendors (DJ/photobooth, taco truck, lion dancing, venue) to make sure they were all on the same page with timing and ensure they got paid out correctly. We needed Julia and her team on the day of our wedding, we just didn't realize and appreciate it even more so until the day-of. Thank you Julia and Kim for everything in prep and on the day of our special day. We're grateful to have you had on our side to make the wedding of our dreams come to life.

    Julia does it ALL - and does it so, so well! I recently attended a wedding she planned and was BLOWN AWAY by the care and attention she gave to every single detail of the entire day. In addition to overseeing the vendors and coordinating the day, Julia showed unbelievable compassion towards my friend, the bride, who understandably was nervous about her big day. Needless to say, witnessing that firsthand unequivocally convinced me that I needed Julia to be my go-to planner/coordinator for all of my events going forward. As soon as I decided that my puppy was going to have an over-the-top 1st birthday party, Julia was my first call. I didn't know where to start with the planning, but Julia knew exactly what to do. Before the call ended, she already had plans drafted and knew which vendors she'd contact. The party turned out more amazing than I'd ever dreamed of and I cannot thank Julia and her team enough! I wholeheartedly recommend her for ANY event you have in mind. She pours her heart and soul into her work and it shows. Thank you a million, Julia! I can't wait for my next event with you! We needed to rent tables, chairs, and 2 different size pipe & drapes for our tea ceremony. I called the company on July 12 because their website was a little confusing. I didn't know where to write what size pipe and drape we wanted. The person who answered the phone just said "Hello?" so I wasn't sure if I was calling the right place at first. I asked if it was One Call Events, and they said yes. I asked my question, and they told me to request a quote via email. I wrote out and sent the email to them immediately after I hung up with them. I provided links to the items I wanted to rent along with how many of each, as well as measurements for the pipe & drapes I wanted. I also provided the date of delivery, date of the event, and date of pickup. I didn't hear back, so I called them one week later on July 19. The woman who answered said she had read my email and would reply with a quote in the next one to two days. I waited, and still no reply. I finally sent another email on July 24 to follow up on my quote request. I received a reply back exactly 30 minutes later asking for the delivery/pickup dates that I needed (I had included it in the original email) and if we needed linens as well. I wrote back to let them know the delivery/pickup dates and that we do not need linens. I did receive a response to my email. I finally called once again on 7/26 and spoke to a woman who remembered my name and my email, and she pulled it up while I was on the phone. She told me that they were out of the white chiavari chairs and only had gold & clear left. I said clear chairs. Shortly after I finally received the quote. It only took 2 weeks, 3 phone calls, and 2 emails. I might have gone with this rental company, however based on how unprofessional they were when I was only requesting a quote, I took my business elsewhere. How can I trust them to actually show up and deliver the rented items if they can't even get me a quote without me calling and emailing them multiple times? The company I went with literally responded the very next day after I requested a quote, and even called me beforehand to double check some of the details regarding the dimensions of the pipe & drapes. Not only that, they had the chairs I wanted: SILVER chiavari chairs!! I didn't want white, I only settled because One Call Events doesn't carry silver. AND the other company is cheaper by about $258. Bottom line, DON'T GO WITH ONE CALL EVENTS!!

When you hire a company for an event as important as a wedding, you expect the absolute best from your vendors. To clarify, the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because yes the set up was beautiful and we had no problem with the guys that came to physically put up the rental tents. They were great, they worked really hard, this is not about them. This is specifically towards Darlene, the company coordinator/manager/owner. Darlene was quick to respond when it came to taking your money. But after the payment was made, she went MIA. She wouldn't answer several calls and texts for days. "Sorry we are really busy", no that's no excuse to not be available to a paid client especially when there are issues/questions. The day before the event, instead of showing face and apologizing for the bad communication she sends her young attitude-filled teenage daughter instead to coordinate the guys setting up. We paid for the tents with fabric, wedding chairs, table runners etc and guess what? The wedding chair cushions were DIRTY. I bring this to the attention of Darlene's daughter and she very dismissively says, "I'll bring some more tomorrow". Fine, as long as they are replaced. Darlene's daughter leaves before the set up is complete, and we realize that they did not bring the table runners. We call and text Miss teenage attitude, no answer. The set up guys claim "maybe this fabric left behind is supposed to be the table runner", but after inspecting it we realize the dirty and torn fabric is actually for the tents not the tables. Again, tried to contact Darlene to advise her that our items are missing. No answer. She finally calls the day of the wedding and claims the fabric is the table runner. No it isn't! The fabric was clearly for the tents not the tables. And she says they will not be coming back to replace the dirty seat cushions. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! She did reimburse for the missing/dirty items but that doesn't change the fact that the items were delivered like that, terrible service and that the communication was almost zero. You can imagine how this made the bride feel on her big day. I do NOT recommend this company, they will give you a headache, stress, anxiety over bad communication and deliver dirty items.. or just not deliver some items altogether! Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

I would usually see the same entertainers in children's party and I realized that I've never seen a magician at any of them. Booking was easy via email and his prices/packages are listed on the website. I had about 15-20 kids at my party and he did such an AMAZING job entertaining both children and adults! I went with 45 min magic show, 20 min balloon twist, and 20 min bubble show. Even though it was raining that day, Dave was very accommodating and communicated with me the different options for a bubble show in case he can't do it outside. He still made it happen and the kids had so much fun popping gigantic bubbles in the rain. I also appreciated how Dave's magic show was age appropriate with the smaller kids but still catered to the adults with a few magic tricks. I can't recommend him enough to other parents who are looking for a party entertainer. Thank you Dave for a memorable party!

Erica really turned me off in the beginning because she basically texted me every evening waiting for me to make my down payment for her services. That should have been my first sign to move on and look for another planner - I really liked my friends wedding so I looked passed it. She was very helpful in the beginning, she connected me with my photographer and gave me ideas for our sign in guest book - but that's about it. I originally booked The Reef for our reception site, but ultimately changed to the Vintage Rose. I didn't know that the Vintage Rose came with a day of coordinator, so I let Erica know right away about the issue. We ended up changing my package to strictly planning only. She didn't help me plan anything. I asked her for cigar vendors multiple times but she never helped me out with that. I asked her to make my timeline for the morning half of my wedding day, and even that was difficult to get out of her. What did I pay her for if she didn't even want to help me with that? She said, she normally doesn't do it unless it's followed very closely. Well guess what honey, it was. So thank you for doing that ONE thing for me. When I talked to my friend about all the things that upset me about Erica, she apologized and told me that she should have warned me. My fault for not discussing with my friend more before booking her, my aspiration for an amazing wedding day totally blinded me. I have attached some pics of our conversations - where she never gets back to me about cigar vendors when I clearly asked her multiple times. All in all, if you're looking for someone to really take charge of your planning, most of the time the bride and maid of honor are the best ones to plan. Ladies, you are more than capable of taking charge of your wedding duties. Save yourself the money and trouble.
