Great food! Very authentic cuisine! We enjoyed last night meal and the peach tea was spot on!

The Food is Amazing, love the burgers wings and fries! The staff is beyond the friendliest I've had the pleasure observed.

Great food! One of the best spots in Montgomery for sure! The Bayou Classic is one of the best dishes I've had in a long time! Nice job!

This place has wonderful food. If it wasn't for the confusing service model, or our server's mood, it would be 5 stars. Everything on the menu looks so good. My wife had the Bayou Classic and I had the burger. I wish I would have gotten something more in line with the "Southern" theme but the burger was stuffed with spinach and cream cheese and excellent. Her crab cakes were very good. Not over breaded and plenty of fresh meat. They topped the dish with 3 shrimp and a sauce. Only bad thing was we dined in, and after given our drinks and food no one cared to check back in with us. I didn't want to be rude and fill up my own glass from the machine if we'd be tipping someone for their time and help. If you just want good food, this is your place in Montgomery! read more

I just had to try this place. It had high reviews, the price point was just right and the pictures of the food looked great! I was very disappointed though. The atmosphere was lacking and the wait staff seemed more interested in their conversations than serving us. They brought us samples of their tea. Let me start out by saying that I'm from the south and their tea was awful. I could tell it was liked by some, because another couple there ordered extra to go. We got a bowl of the collard green soup, stuffed mushrooms, Louie Armstrong and the Bayou Classic. The collard green soup was good, different from anything I've ever had. It would have been a lot better if they had not forgotten to bring our drinks because it is a little spicy. I had to ask for my water. The rest of our meal then came. The mushrooms were good. The other meals were just OK. They were very similar in looks and taste. I loved how they have positive, spiritual messages written on their menu board. There was also a message on the to go box that said Be Good. I really did want to like this place, but maybe this type of cuisine isn't for this girl. I wish them all the best though. read more

This place is phenomenal. Never expected the level of service and great food. Will be back again very soon.

Driving south on I-85, coming from Atlanta to Montgomery needing lunch. Hit up YELP, I picked Wishbone because I love Cajun. Restaurant is very unassuming, situated on the corner of an "L" shaped strip mall. I walked in the door and the staff met me with a sample of their "soup of the day" and a taste of their sweet tea. Immediately I ordered the sweet tea. The soup was also amazing but I didn't order due to my need for an entree. I ordered the Crawfish Julie, and it was perfection. Because my Mama makes the best Banana Pudding, I ordered that for dessert. Mama would be proud! Great place! Not far off I-85 as you get to the Montgomery, AL area coming from the north. Enjoy!! read more

Love this place!!!! One of the best restaurants in Montgomery. I come here all the time and the food is always good!!!!!!!!

Wow. What a great little place. Had Presses' Brisket Sandwich with Red Beans n Rice side. Never had ANYTHING like 'em. Cheesy red beans n rice. Grilled peppers n onions on the brisket. Perfect. Had to get a to go box. Service was superb with owner checking with each customer and working on each dish too. Very hands on. Montgomery you are so fortunate to have this restaurant! read more

Great food! Stopped in during a road trip to pensacola during lunch time. It was busy and barely got a table. We had the classic bayou and Louis Armstrong. Both were good and the soup was excellent. Would recommend! Was a great pit stop. Location was safe and in a convenient location. read more

I had lunch here today for the 3rd or 4th time. Everything I have eat here has been excellent!!! Service is also great! Try the chicken kabobs! read more

We have eaten here twice. We gave it a second chance because our friends raved about it. We thought maybe they were having an "off day" or we ordered the wrong thing. After second visit, we decided it wasn't for us. Service was not good either visit and the food was not good at all. read more

Wishbone Cafe was excellent. We were driving from south Georgia to Oxford, MS and looked up places to eat for lunch. Service was fabulous, homemade tea was excellent and the food was top-notch! I wish this place was closer to my hometown. read more

Excellent meal! We stopped here because of other reviews and if anything they didn't do it justice, simply put outstanding. The Cuban sandwich was fully loaded with a sweet & savory sauce that was wonderful and the Cubana roll was perfect. The shrimp poorboy was not traditional but very tasty with a excellent hand cut seasoned fries. The Crawfish Julie was nice and spicy with an interesting cheese sauce that will be hard not to have again when we return. The Cajun Truffles were perhaps the best stuffed mushrooms we'd every tasted. So if you're in the area a visit is a must! read more

This place was good. It was an old Quiznos you can tell, but don't let that fool you. The service is phenomenal and the food was excellent! I'll be back again! read more

Although I have been to this place just once - few weeks before leaving Montgomery, I loved it. Had I been to this place earlier, I would have frequented it during my 8-month stay there (lived two blocks from there). My colleague who took me out there, raved about it, so I tagged along. The soup they serve at the beginning just sets you up for the food. I ordered the blackened shrimp (half). It was so tasty that only after finishing my food I realized that I had wiped the plate clean. The guy at the counter jokingly told me that I wasn't supposed to do that in my first visit....ha ha ha. Five stars....hands down! read more

I love Wishbone Cafe. The staff is incredibly friendly and outgoing. The food is outstanding. I have had several of the entrees and I love the soups (which they bring for you to try before your meal at lunch). The Louis Armstrong, tilapia and the Bayou Classic are a few of the favorites. Don't let the location and size of the restaurant fool you as this place is an outstanding little cafe. read more

Best food in town!! The Louis Armstrong is my all time favorite. Never had a bad meal or experience. Everybody is so polite, friendly and attentive to your needs. The sweet tea is the gem of the place!! read more

We were visiting in Montgomery and found the Wishbone on Yelp and we were pleasantly surprised. The food and staff were amazing. Had the Bayou Classic and it was equal to if not better than any 4 star resturant could have been. They served a sample of their sweet tea and a bowl of black eye pea soup that was delicious. We also had the appetizer with riblets, wings and the best chicken salad I have ever tasted. Don't pass up on the Wishbone. read more

After seeing great reviews, thought I would seek out this place while in town, before heading back home. This place was better than many Cajun restaurants I've enjoyed in NOLA! I had the Louis Armstrong (grilled shrimp & scallops in cream sauce w/grilled peppers) & their special tea. Both were excellent & staff was extremely nice & customer service oriented. As soon as I Sat down, they brought me a sample of their soup of the day & tea, which surprised me. Awesome place & staff. The only negative is that the grill smoked up the room a little, which irritated my eyes. I'll be back, when back in town! read more

Stopped by for dinner on our first visit and the food tasted great. However the portions were surprisingly small and the accompany toast cold. And unfortunately we were told the owner was "out sick for a week". The kids working there were certainly sweet but kind of clueless. When I asked for a lemon slice a young man showed up at my table with a lemon stuck on the end of a fork and said here it is! After a bit of surprise realized I just needed to grab it with my fingers. My wife had to refill her own drink. The staples on the menu had let go and the pages were falling out, and so on. For the price point I would have expected more generous portions and much better service. read more

A must stop for anyone traveling through Montgomery! The atmosphere is casual and inviting, but it is the food that will keep you coming back for more. The Jeffery Darden, Salmon, and fully loaded fries are among my favorites. Oh, and the soups are delicious. Portions are substantial and priced accordingly. read more

This place is fantastic, great food and excellent service. The Bayou classic, stuffed truffle appetizer, and the riblets delicious.

I love love love to eat here. Customer service and great food is what brings people back and they have both. I love their spinach stuffed burger and their sweet tea! You can always count on lots of smiles and a good time. read more

We ate at Wishbone Cafe for the first time and we can't say enough great things about this place. The staff was wonderful and made us feel like they were genuinely happy we were there and they were excited to serve us! I had the blue plate special (pot pie) and my co-worker had the Shrimp Po Boy which was to DIE FOR. We thought it was one of our best dining experiences ever and the music playing in the background, we almost thought we were in New Orleans. We will be back!!!! read more

This place is great. The food is very tasty and the customer service is good. When you walk in the door, they make sure you're taken care of. They even offer you their signature tea or a sample of their soup of the day. I can say that their performance is consistent. Everytime I go, the food is good. The Cajun Fries, Shrimp Pasta, Salads, etc. is good. One of my favorite places to eat in Montgomery! read more

Conveniently located near Auburn University Montgomery and shopping on the East side of town. The friendly staff serve home-cooked style food. I most enjoyed the complimentary soup for appetizer. Lunch time seems to be better than evening. read more

The food was awful. The wings was too salty and the quesadilla was burn and chucks in them was extremely chunky ( which shouldn't have been). read more

Had a dish that I have renamed " Cajun Surprise ". The surprise was that the rice was either cold, tough, or too hard to chew. The dish was prepared by running the seafood through a small sandwich warming type oven, placing it on previously prepared rice which I described above, sprinkling it generously with a shaker of cajun spices, and serving. While the seafood did have a good flavor, this dish with 3 shrimp and two silver dollar sized crab cakes was not nearly worth the $15 price tag that came with it. The table we sat at was covered in crumbs, the servers were apologetic and microwaved the plate for me to make the food warmer and tougher, but no concession on the price was offered even though we expressed our disappointment in the food quality. There were two other tables occupied at the time we dined, so there should have been ample time for the table to have been cleaned. And we never did kill that darn fly ! read more
