It's certainly true that Wish is a Sneaker heads paradise but what might be said less is that it has some very forward thinking women's wear. Granted you won't be wearing it to your best friends wedding. Its design forward women's sportswear. They have one of a kind pieces I haven't seen anywhere else. I recently moved from Portland Oregon which is the US headquarters for both Nike and Adidas. Yet, this store showed me things from those brands I never saw living in portland. They also do a great job buying sportswear from other smaller brands that give a fully beautiful shopping experience. read more

Wish used to be a pretty awesome store. For a while, the downstairs area used to host a record store, and if I remember right, even after it left, they'd often have live DJ's upstairs. They had a variety of different clothing styles, and I would sometimes find some good stuff in there. However, now it's got a sparse collection of hip-hop styled clothing, and even that doesn't seem all that great. You'll probably find better stuff at Macy's. The downstairs shoe area did look very cool. If you are looking for some sneakers, this place might be worth a visit. Otherwise, don't go out of your way. read more

The manager, I assume, Julie, who seemed to be your stereotypical gentrifier wore an "Atlanta Influences Everything," shirt, while being rude to young black customers, like how does that even make sense? She was short tempered and extremely unhelpful, but I mean, I'm sure she's paid well enough to slum it with the actual influencers. read more

1 Word-- SHOE GALORE, for all you Dunk, Puma, and Adidas junkies this is the place for you. This boutique is small and located in the L5P. It's 2 stories-- top floor clothes and bottom floor shoes. I come here for the shoes, never the clothes; although they are nice. Not much of a selection for women though. Every once in a while you come across something that just blows the competition away, something that takes what you thought was "on the level" and totally ELEVATES it. Let me explain. The picture above you see is of Wish, an urban shopping experience located in Little Five Points of Atlanta. The building use to be a Public Library which is historically noted on a concrete slab on the side of the building (Sorry Rae, it wasn't a bank but you were close). If you have any ounce of appreciation for art of any form, be prepared for those emotions to be provoked when you walk through the doors of Wish. The architecture is amazing, and the interior design is just as incredible, yet it manages to be understated enough to bring the focus to the merchandise. I read that the mission of owner, Lauren Amos, was not just to create another retail space, but an iconic destination. I'd say, mission accomplished. One of things I found to be the coolest at Wish were the glass display cubes in the floor. My picture doesn't show them very well because photography and a vertically challenged person don't alway mix, but I did get a great picture of the standing display case. You'll find that Wish carries a selection of fashions by both reputable and emerging designers. Popular brands like Cheap Monday and Married to the Mob sit along side rising and unique brands like Cult of Individuality and Hellz Bellz. Wish also carries their own line of apparel and accessories. Wish appears to pride itself on exclusivity and originality. But, in my opinion, there is something a little more special about this place. Downstairs in the belly of Wish is a sneaker head's paradise. Nestled in the walls of what looks like a tribute to the former public library is a selection of men's and women's shoes that would excite even the most judicious sneaker head. Displayed on lighted counter tops and shelves are brands such as Nike QS, Adidas Consortium, Android Homme, Vans Vault, Supra, and Jordan. So if your looking for shoes that seem to be just short of an urban legend, you'll probably find it at Wish, unless your just too late. True exclusivity means its LIMITED! My suggestions? If your taking "sneaker-head 101", like myself, start by visiting Wish's website, there is a blog dedicated to products they will be and are currently carrying in the store and online. For those of you who take your shoe game so serious that you find yourself waiting for Footlocker to open a the strike of midnight for those Jordan's or scouring internet pages to find those kicks that everybody's already talking about, take your shoe game to the next level and try Wish. Your friend's aren't talking about some of these shoes because they're just not up on it. SHOW THEM WHAT THEIR MISSING! Then you decide whether or not to tell them where you got them :-) I've got to admit, I've had a few memorable impressions when visiting new stores. But by far, Wish is probably one of the most fashionably stimulating experiences I've had. I have to start making sure there isn't more than one level to any other place I visit! read more

A few years ago Wish was my " go to " spot for shoes but I went this past Tuesday and the employee that was down stairs in the shoe department had HORRIBLE customer service with a stank attitude to top it off. Heard about the place from other sneaker heads while visiting Atlanta. Had to check it out and wasn't disappointed. Great selection of kicks, including some Y3s I had to cop. Only down side for me is the area. It seems like a young, trendy area (Little Five Points) but there are a gang of homeless folks hitting you up on the streets. read more

Beware!!! This store's return policy is VERY misleading. It states return will be accepted after 10 business days. However they consider "EVERYDAY" a business day. Because of this I could not exchange on the "12th" business day even though I was attempting to spend even more money. I will never shop here again. read more

Wish is one of the best boutique clothing stores out there. I go to school at the University of Oregon and was in town visiting my family for christmas when I first found this amazing store. Wish is down in the little Five Points area, one of my favorites, and is a beacon to the future of clothing. The building used to be an old library and the owner hired a famous architect Raphael Berkowitz, and designer Sam O'Donahue from New York to completly redesign the store, so when you go there its more than just a shopping experience. The store opens up with sliding glass doors that open to greet the shopper The clothing is considered to be hipster but I consider it to be some of the most sophisticated, cutting edge clothing labels from all around the world. One you take the stairs down to the basement you see all the walls lined with the black books from the old library with all the book sleeves removed. hen you notice your in shoe heaven. There are two rooms lined with lit up glass tables filled with a large selection of the rarest and most popular kicks on the market. They now have an amazing website so anyone can shop there but if your ever in Atlanta the shop in Little 5 Points is a must visit! read more

My teenage son insisted on going to Wish since he loves sneakers so much. EVERY paycheck he has to buy at least two pair of sneakers for himself. We drove at least 30 miles to visit this place that was praised by someone . Once we arrived the place was pretty .The staff on the first floor gave us a simple greeting.After looking around with disappointment my son asked if there was another level. When we arrived downstairs it was another pretty site. But the guy by the name of Chris was rude he did not speak and when I asked if thats what he normally did his reply was"Thats what the people upstairs are for." I immediately told my son that we were leaving and that we would never ever patronize a place with that kind of service. I would never go back to that place even if the shoes were free. It seems that so called HIP boutiques dont mind providing their young customers with bad service . I rarely visit those type of places and that gave me a reason to turn me rarely into a NEVER.
