I got caught walking in the rain for miles in ATL and soaking wet I came across this place. They were closed, but were in the shop. The owner gave me a free shirt to get dry. Great bunch of guys, wish I could have shopped too

Schaf Shop brews up solid coffee and matcha, and their specialty drinks are definitely worth trying. My favorite so far is the Banana Pudding Matcha, which they top with a nilla wafer and reminds me of the banana pudding matchas I know and love in SF. If there's one thing I don't like about their drinks, it's that they're on the slightly sweeter side. If you mix them really well, it's not too bad, and in general the owners do a great job of mixing otherwise strong flavors like rose into their drinks. In terms of vibe, the spot feels a bit more like West Coast cafes in the sense that the baristas are really friendly and are up for chatting with you. It's a weird mix of skate shop and bookstore, with some books and a handful of games around. There's not a lot of space to sit and work, but they've got some outlets and a bathroom so it's definitely workable. All in all, it's in my favorite recent places. Go check it out, and I won't judge you for gatekeeping it :)

I…read morewanted to take time, calm down and write this review after reflecting on the events that moved me to write this in the first place. My daughter wants to learn how to skateboard. She was taking lessons at Hazard Skating in McDonough before it abruptly closed a few years ago. We'd moved on to the next thing, but during quarantine, she rekindled that spark and asked if I could find a place for lessons. I looked around for a while, but living in Fayetteville, skating lessons were hard to come by. I thought my searching had come to an end after finding Revolt Skating in my Google search. It's closer than Hazard was and we were both excited about the prospect of her learning to skate again. I stopped by Revolt and Nancy (I think) was quite nice and charming. She welcomed us in, told us all about the skating lessons and promptly signed us up for a 6 week package starting with Alex Denny on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 11:00AM at Glenloch Recreation Center. Needless to say, we left Revolt very excited about the prospect of her learning to skate again. Well, Sunday, we arrive at the park, get to the skating area, get my daughter's pads on and we wait for Revolt to show up. Nothing. Not a phone call saying they're late, not a text saying there was a scheduling mistake. Just me, guiding my daughter around on her board, disappointed that we were stood up. After leaving the park, I decided to stop by Revolt and see what the problem was. I walked in, mad, but not irate and had a conversation with an older gentleman behind the skate counter. When I told him what happened, he was apologetic and immediately got Nancy on the phone. I was told that Alex had a "a few personal problems" and would no longer be providing skating lessons. They offered two additional lessons at no charge to make up for the no show. Fine. We agreed that the first of these lessons would be on the next Sunday...March 28, 2021...again at 11:00AM and this time, the lessons would be given by their son, Andrew...a reliable guy! Once again, we get to the park, we're getting my daughter all ready to go, I see the gentleman I had spoken to the previous Sunday at their shop. We lock eyes, greet each other and I'm like..."alright! they're here, she's going to learn today!" BOY...did she ever learn. By the time the pads were on and tightend, we were at the skate ramps...alone. They had taken off. We wait around to see if they've gone for water or something. Twenty minutes go by...then 30...by this time I am irate...beside myself! MAD! I call up Nancy...and I read her the riot act! I'm insensed. Two weeks in a row. Two no-shows! By the time I'm done, I've got a full refund, but I also have a dejected daughter on the verge of tears in that skate park. Were they apologetic? Yes, but the damage had already been done. They offered a package of six lessons for free, but it was too late. My daughter no longer wanted to deal with these people. Every shred of integrity this company ever had, was gone for us. I wasn't about to put my daughter in that position again, to have her hopes dashed because they can't be bothered to get their stuff together. Nancy's telling me that this has never happened before and Andrew's saying it happens all the time because of their new scheduling system. In any event, I couldn't possibly recommend Revolt Skating to any parent looking to find skating lessons. Conversely, if anyone has recommendations for reliable instructors, please let me know.

On 2/8/26 my family visited the store to purchase equipment for our first ski trip. Upon entering the store, we were not greeted or acknowledged by any staff members. During our time in the store, we observed employees actively engaging with and offering assistance to other customers. Despite our visible presence and attempts to seek help, no employee approached or offered assistance to our family. While attempting to locate ski goggles for my son, we approached an employee working in that section of the store. The employee ignored our presence and did not respond to our attempts to engage him. He only acknowledged us after noticing that we were attempting to locate assistance from another staff member. We then moved to the ski boot and winter boot section to request assistance. My son politely asked an employee located in the rear of the store for help. The employee immediately raised his voice toward my son and made an additional comment under his breath that was inappropriate and unprofessional. My son returned to my wife and I visibly uncomfortable. The same employee then approached our family and, in an aggressive and hostile tone, stated, "What do you want? Hurry up. I do not have a lot of time. Which one of you is first?" I addressed the employee directly and informed him that his conduct was rude and unprofessional. Due to the nature of that interaction, we discontinued seeking assistance from him. Despite the prior interactions, we proceeded to the checkout counter to complete a purchase. After waiting in line for service, the cashier answered a phone call and remained engaged on the call while we stood directly in front of him without acknowledgement or explanation. When the cashier concluded the call and began assisting us, we calmly explained the treatment we experienced in the rear of the store. The cashier responded by stating that the store was busy and suggested that we should return during non busy hours. This response dismissed our concerns and failed to address the conduct that occurred. Throughout our visit, we observed employees offering assistance and providing service to other customers while our family was repeatedly overlooked, spoken to in a hostile manner, and treated in a way that was materially different from other patrons. Based on the totality of these circumstances, we believe our family was subjected to discriminatory and disrespectful treatment. Most concerning was the emotional impact this experience had on our son, who was exposed to conduct that no child or customer should experience in a retail environment. Consumers should expect to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and equal service regardless of background. Based on our experience, individuals and families should carefully consider this when deciding where to purchase ski and winter sporting equipment. Response to my post; Chris, while I appreciate your respond it doesn't excuse your team and how they treated me and my family. It doesn't talk about what you and your staff will do going forward to ensure you don't treat people in such a demoralizing way. We will never come back to any of your locations. Praying that you see this for what it is and do more as a human to support those who want to enjoy outdoor sports

I am a huge Georgia Bulldogs football fan, so you can imagine how excited and happy I've been since…read morethey dethroned the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 33-18 and won the college football national championship on January 10. Even though it's been a month since then, I still feel like I'm dreaming. But the reality is my Dawgs are the champions of college football. Since the victory, I've purchased a banner commemorating Georgia's championship season and another banner for the Atlanta Braves' World Series championship last October. But I bought those from the Fanatics.com website. I only recently found out about The Fans Wear. I discovered it by accident as I was in the Mall at Peachtree Center food court. It's a small sports fan store near the Chick-Fil-A. It's very colorful and well lit on the inside. When I stopped by today (February 11, 2022), there was a television broadcasting the Winter Olympics. You can find just about anything representing the major local sports teams (Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State), from hoodies, banners, collectibles, t-shirts, jackets, hats, book bags, etc., but they also have other teams as well. I was laser focused on finding a commemorative plaque representing Georgia's national championship season. I'd seen some online, but I didn't feel like ordering and waiting for it to come in the mail. The Fans Wear had the exact same plaques that I saw on the Fanatics.com website. A beautiful varsity-style black and white Georgia Bulldogs jacket that I'd never seen before caught my eye, but it cost more than I was willing to spend right then. The prices at this store are a little higher than what I saw on the Fanatics.com website. For instance, the commemorative Georgia plaque I ended up purchasing cost $99.99 there, but on the Fanatics website it just got marked down to $79.99. Still, after taxes and shipping, I probably would've paid the same price ordering it online. I bought a Georgia magnet for my refrigerator that would've cost $7 online but the vendor let me have it for only $5. With taxes, I spent a total of $114.33 for the plaque and magnet. I am pleased with my purchases and plan on coming back soon. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars are the prices and the fact that this store doesn't stay open late. Its hours of operation are 10am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday. Like most stores and restaurants in the Mall at Peachtree Center, the majority of their customers are people who work at the many high-rise offices in the area and the tourists staying at the nearby hotels. It's in a convenient location near the Peachtree Center Marta transit station. If you have money to spend and love sports, you'll enjoy it here.
