The quality of the merchandise is outstanding. And the price point is good too. I love the backstory on this business.

We were really excited to try Schaf's Matcha. -- big mistake!!!!!…read moreOne of the most watered down Matchas I've had in a long time. Very disappointing. Both the banana pudding Matcha and the regular iced Matcha had no flavor. For $14 dollars total, they were really skimping on the matcha powder. Hoping their coffee is a better experience. Edit: We went back and had the most amazing Macha experience! The bagels and quiche were also amazing!

Schaf Shop brews up solid coffee and matcha, and their specialty drinks are definitely worth trying. My favorite so far is the Banana Pudding Matcha, which they top with a nilla wafer and reminds me of the banana pudding matchas I know and love in SF. If there's one thing I don't like about their drinks, it's that they're on the slightly sweeter side. If you mix them really well, it's not too bad, and in general the owners do a great job of mixing otherwise strong flavors like rose into their drinks. In terms of vibe, the spot feels a bit more like West Coast cafes in the sense that the baristas are really friendly and are up for chatting with you. It's a weird mix of skate shop and bookstore, with some books and a handful of games around. There's not a lot of space to sit and work, but they've got some outlets and a bathroom so it's definitely workable. All in all, it's in my favorite recent places. Go check it out, and I won't judge you for gatekeeping it :)

I'm heartbroken about how disappointed I was with Fly Rollers…read more I had been told by multiple people in the skate community to avoid the business, but I needed new plates and wanted to support a small business. The business is sloppy in its operations, in that they do not open on time and had me wait 2 out of the 3 times I visited them. I purchased plates and had to call to see if my order was ready (they will not call you). When I arrived at the business, after being told my order was complete and ready for pickup, I waited another 45 minutes for it to open, but my order was still not ready. They handed me my skates without wheels or bearings. I had paid $125 for them to install the new plates and have the skates user ready as we had previously discussed. I had to ask them to finish putting my skate together. The items installed (plates, toe stops, cushions) were dirty and did not appear new, and I had to request the skate tools that come with the product. I never saw or received the original packaging. I also asked for an itemized receipt because the price seemed higher than expected, but was only given a receipt showing the amount I paid. None of the items were itemized to see what I had actually paid for or received. I had also previously paid $50 for work on another pair of skates that was never completed or credited. Very sloppy business practice, and I would never recommend or do business with this company again. Super sad because this business had great potential, and I tried so hard to like it, but it is run so sloppily that I feel like I was scammed by them.

They are at a new location with a bigger footprint , yet they still have a friendly and knowledgeable staff (including managers) , and they have more room for more items... I especially like the fact that the skis and snowboards are in separate locations so everyone hav a bit more room to breath... If you are into winter sports these folks are top notch. If you are looking for water sports, outdoor footwear, camping equipment, they are also top notch.

On 2/8/26 my family visited the store to purchase equipment for our first ski trip. Upon entering the store, we were not greeted or acknowledged by any staff members. During our time in the store, we observed employees actively engaging with and offering assistance to other customers. Despite our visible presence and attempts to seek help, no employee approached or offered assistance to our family. While attempting to locate ski goggles for my son, we approached an employee working in that section of the store. The employee ignored our presence and did not respond to our attempts to engage him. He only acknowledged us after noticing that we were attempting to locate assistance from another staff member. We then moved to the ski boot and winter boot section to request assistance. My son politely asked an employee located in the rear of the store for help. The employee immediately raised his voice toward my son and made an additional comment under his breath that was inappropriate and unprofessional. My son returned to my wife and I visibly uncomfortable. The same employee then approached our family and, in an aggressive and hostile tone, stated, "What do you want? Hurry up. I do not have a lot of time. Which one of you is first?" I addressed the employee directly and informed him that his conduct was rude and unprofessional. Due to the nature of that interaction, we discontinued seeking assistance from him. Despite the prior interactions, we proceeded to the checkout counter to complete a purchase. After waiting in line for service, the cashier answered a phone call and remained engaged on the call while we stood directly in front of him without acknowledgement or explanation. When the cashier concluded the call and began assisting us, we calmly explained the treatment we experienced in the rear of the store. The cashier responded by stating that the store was busy and suggested that we should return during non busy hours. This response dismissed our concerns and failed to address the conduct that occurred. Throughout our visit, we observed employees offering assistance and providing service to other customers while our family was repeatedly overlooked, spoken to in a hostile manner, and treated in a way that was materially different from other patrons. Based on the totality of these circumstances, we believe our family was subjected to discriminatory and disrespectful treatment. Most concerning was the emotional impact this experience had on our son, who was exposed to conduct that no child or customer should experience in a retail environment. Consumers should expect to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and equal service regardless of background. Based on our experience, individuals and families should carefully consider this when deciding where to purchase ski and winter sporting equipment. Response to my post; Chris, while I appreciate your respond it doesn't excuse your team and how they treated me and my family. It doesn't talk about what you and your staff will do going forward to ensure you don't treat people in such a demoralizing way. We will never come back to any of your locations. Praying that you see this for what it is and do more as a human to support those who want to enjoy outdoor sports
