The time finally arrived for me to try this place! Located right inside a pizza parlor was this gem. It felt like something from back in time. The bar was stacked with more spirits than I've ever seen at one time. My husband and I both tried two cocktails and enjoyed each. I also appreciated the cushy leather sofa and street view. They seemed to be short-staffed for the turnout. However, they were hustling at the bar and on the floor.

We came to Wiseguy Lounge the day after Christmas and ordered several seasonal cocktails and pizza. I started with the Dance of the Mouseking, which was delicious. It tasted like dessert. It had Rum, Heavy Cream, crème de cacao, and aquafaba. I also tried the Ebenezer's Doorbell, which was delicious and refreshing. We ended with the Heartbreak Haley, made by Brandon, and it was outstanding. It had Bourbon, Apple, Honey, Lemon, and Ginger. This was the best drink and came at a super reasonable $8 price. I wish we had this place in Chicago.

Love grabbing a cocktail here, and love their daily specials! The atmosphere is chill and sophisticated, with a variety of seating for large and small groups, and as a plus, you can order pizza from Goodfella's downstairs from the bar and they'll quickly bring it right to you. Some of my favorite specials: on Monday, they have $5 mules and half off 12" pizzas. On Wednesday they have $5 Old Fashions. On Thursday, they have a whole list of classic cocktails for $6 (like this aviation!).

Hey Harrison, just wanted to thank you for your craftsmanship and excellence behind the bar at Wiseguy. Every drink you pour is done with such passion and precision--it truly shows in every sip. Keep staying classy; you are truly appreciated!

Wow. Real east coast style pizza! Large slices and a superb collection of spirits. On Main st . As for the pizza.....18 inch pies ! None of this 16 inch stuff. In this case, size does matter.

Wiseguy has been on my list for a while now and finally had the opportunity to visit. The bourbon selection is obviously expansive, but they also do various crafty cocktails which are fun to drink, but also to watch the bartenders make. I will say, this place is more of a bar with some seating rather than a true lounge in my opinion. It could be great for a fun date spot, but not for anything overly intimate.

Shoutout to my bartender who made the most amazing bourbon (their specialty) cocktail (pictured, drink and bartender). Wiseguy Lounge is above the Goodfella's pizza shop. Make sure if there's a line on a weekend night, to ask the bouncer if the line is for the bar or for pizza, most times it's for pizza and you won't have to wait in line if you're going to the bar upstairs. The bourbon wall is massive and so impressive, this is a perfect place to go for a date and have plenty of things to talk about since there's bourbon, TV, a cool cocktail menu to strike conversation, and the usual date topics. The upstairs to the upstairs bar is private and allows for a more intimate experience although the noise from the first floor travels upward so it's a little loud. Wiseguy is a classy hidden gem location for the adult crowd for someone who wants to have good cocktails and conversation.

Amazing bar! Very casual but intimate, small space with cozy chairs and sofas. I usually sit at the bar and love watching the bartenders do their magic. The cocktails are delicious, creative and there's often a cool visual component when making them. For example, burning rosemary or infusing smoke. You can also get pizza from downstairs and eat it upstairs.

Stopped in for a drink after being gone from Cincinnati for 6 years and amazed at how things have changed. Located in the ever changing OTR area of downtown Cincinnati. Located above the Goodfellas pizzeria Wiseguy lounge is def worth checking out. For the bourbon enthusiast this place is heaven as they have an amazing selection that are reasonably priced. The bartenders were helpful in making recommendations and offering up information about local and store picks. The bar had their stools divided in group of 2 and separated by plexiglass. Helping you feel safe while enjoying a drink. We are in town for a few more days and will definitely be back.

Wiseguy Lounge is tucked away above Goodfellas Pizzeria, and I've definitely been to Goodfellas with no idea it was even upstairs. I thought this would be a fairly basic bar, but their cocktail list was actually impressive. My friend and I each had a drink to wrap up an afternoon of bar-hopping, and it was a nice way to end the day.

My first visit to the Wiseguy Lounge. I've been downstairs for pizza at Goodfellas many times. The bar was excellent! I had 3 different cocktails and I loved them all. I am loving this bourbon discovery. I love that Wiseguys use fresh everything, no mixers. I had one drink with blueberry, another with grape fruit and they were do refreshing different and delicious! I feel bad that I don't remember all the names of the cocktails. I enjoyed watching the mixologists do their work. I didn't know about the Market Price menu on the bourbon so I got a little more bourbon education in the middle of enjoying the lounge. We took a look at the outside areas on our way out so we are planning the next visit. Great place!

I've been to Wiseguy a number of times in both OTR and Covington. I love the ambiance and of course the pixie shots. I usually order at least one coffee baileys drink whenever I go, SO GOOD. They have a great selection of cocktails, the location is perfect (above a pizza joint, what more could you want), and the staff is always super friendly.

Ordering twice gave us the opportunity to explore several dishes, and the quality and presentation remained thoughtful each time. Service was prompt and seamless, allowing us to enjoy a restaurant-level meal in the comfort of our room without losing the sense of intention behind the food. We sampled the steak and eggs, omelette, pork hash, along with lattes and cappuccinos. The coffee program was excellent, balanced and well crafted, pairing beautifully with the savory dishes. The steak and eggs and omelette were satisfying and well executed, but the true standout was the pork hash. It was deeply flavorful, comforting yet elevated, with a richness that felt chef-driven rather than heavy. Every bite carried warmth and depth, making it the highlight of our stay. Metropole succeeds in creating a dining experience that feels both approachable and quietly sophisticated. I came out in December for their Miracle pop-up in 2025…read more As someone who has gone to a ton of holiday cocktail bars and pop-ups over the last 10 years, Overlook Lodge's is probably the best I've ever been to. Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)

You do need reservations to get into the music area, we didnt know that going in since we were from out of town. We were told reservations are made months in advance so we didnt really have high hopes of being able to get it but we were pleasantly surprised. We talked to the hostess and she was able to squeeze us in between reservations which was awesome. The inner bar was awesome, they gave us complimentary mini espresso shots which were served inside these chocolate little boats, so fun. I also had the best drink, #4, inspired by the pornstar martini but purple, it had Ketel One, Licor 43, passion fruit, ube, vanilla, lemon and prosecco. We loved listening to the live music, and everyone was so kind. Servers Logan, Vicente & Travis were 5 star.

The drinks are not interesting or well-made, it is way too loud, the service is extremely poor and all of this honestly ruins the experience. The music talent has also been subpar on every single occasion. My last visit within the last month will definitely be our final visit. A friend requested to go here for his retirement and even though I was skeptical, I made reservations two months in advance. Upon arrival, you aren't greeted welcomed or graciously at the top of the stairs. For a special place of this caliber, do better with your first impression. Upon checking in downstairs, the hostesses couldn't be more bored. Upon being sat at our table, facing the stage in the middle of the room on hard chairs, we requested to move to one of the booths that are more comfortable and clothed. We were there earlier in the evening on a weekday, had a reservation, and there were plenty of booths available. In fact, every single booth was available. We nicely explained that someone in our group had a spinal issue. The hostess, who did not care about much of anything, said those were reserved. We said we had a reservation too. He said if folks did not show up for those he would let us move to one. Did those boots ever get full? No? Did the Host ever check in with us and act like he cared? Also, no. Did we go track him down an hour later when one of our guests was in severe pain asking to be moved? No, we did ask our server, but she made no efforts to help us. So, we left. We did spend an hour listening to the live music. It was a pretty uninteresting show, and no one in the space was even paying attention. That is not usually my experience in most jazz or music venues. The cocktail list was super uninspired by any standard. The cocktails remind me of a cheesy 90s club. I finally ordered a tiny shot of something in a little chocolate shell. The chocolate shell tasted good. Our group had a long history with 1313 Vine. The retiring person in our group used to party in the building above when it was the infamous Warehouse. In 2012, we really enjoyed going into the space as part of the Cincinnati underground tour when it was still a beer tunnel. This is a special space, but the lack of even decent service consistently over the years, poor music talent, and uninteresting drinks are doing this incredible venue, a sincere disservice. Perhaps the novelty of the location makes it easy to overcome all of the above, but not for us.
