So I got a chip in my windshield and neglected to get it resolved right away so naturally it cracked. I contacted my insurance who referred me to a national company that has the "safe" word in it. All I can say is YIKES to the point of thinking "maybe I can live with the crack". Then I remembered chatting it up with Eddie from Wisecracks several years ago when we were both at the same gas station. I figured I'd give him a call hoping he would be a bit more reasonable and even if he wasn't I'd rather give my business to a local than some nationwide mega Corp. Anyway, I called Wisecracks and Eddie came right out to take a look to see what my options would be. As it turned out, while he explained how he could work his magic to prevent the crack from growing,, replacing the glass was going to be the best way to go. Holding my breath to hear his price . . . WOW!! He came back with a very reasonable (and affordable) amount and said he could do the work the next day even, which was great because we were leaving the day after for a road trip to my place in the mountains! Let's just say that his best price on the basic windshield was just about 1/2 of what the Mega Lite quote was. I mean to the point that I asked if that included installation?! Eddie is straight up and even told me what his cost on the two different windshields that were available for my vehicle. When I couldn't decide which one I wanted, Eddie said he would bring both out and I could take a look at them and choose, with no additional charge! On the scheduled day, I had to change plans due to an urgent issue and had to change the arrival time of his Tech Alex. Not a problem! The schedule was changed and Alex arrived exactly on time to do the work, which turned out absolutely perfect! Alex even gave me a card that will give me a discount to repair my next chip! (cuz you know it will happen, right?) I can't say enough good things about Eddie and Alex. Both super friendly, nice, polite and 100% professional. Highly recommended! read more

We did some research and know the 4" crack line on our windshield damaged by stone from passing truck can be repaired safely. See NWRA repair of laminated glass:http://rolags.com/pdf/ANSI+NWRA+ROLAGS+001-2014.pdf Most would simply want to change out the windshield which is close to $300-$400 by saying crack no larger than a quarter coin. We left a message on Saturday. Eddie called back on Sunday and completed the work in less than an hour. We were very happy with the work. Eddie is a professional, courteous, and respectful. I just had yet another outstanding experience with Eddie at Wisecracks so I wanted to write a review. I bought a new windshield from Eddie years ago and paid cash because my insurance didn't cover windshield replacement. Eddie gave me the best price from all the places I called and told me he'd do one free chip repair in the future if I ever needed it. Well I ended up needing it and Eddie delivered on his promise. He accommodated my schedule, came to my home when he said he would (even calling when he was on his way), and knocked out the chip repair in less than 30 minutes. He refused to take any money as a tip and said he was a man of his word and only wanted to give the free chip repair like he said he would. It's not common these days to have businesses with such strong ethics like Eddie and Wisecracks do. I'd much rather give my money to a local small business than some faceless national corporation, especially a small business with awesome prices, products, and customer service. Professional glass repair by the most honest and kindhearted individual you'll ever meet!!! I was having a miserable day and the rock that hit my windshield only exacerbated how lousy I was feeling. By recommendation, I made an appointment with Eddie from WiseCracks. With the weather currently being 100+ degree, Eddie tells me that in order for him to seal the chip in windshield I'll have to leave the windshield under shade or covered by a blanket to keep it cool. Unfortunately I was babysitting my nephews at my sister's house and there was absolutely no shade whatsoever on their street and I didn't want to use one of her blankets to put on my car. I explained all this to Eddie and he kindly tells me that he'll fit me in Sunday morning before it gets too hot outside, even though he doesn't normally work Sunday morning. How nice is that right!? But his generosity doesn't end there! When Sunday morning comes around, Eddie brings me a tall caramel frappuccino from Starbucks to brighten my horrible weekend! I really cannot stress enough how sincerely kindhearted Eddie from WiseCracks is!!!! Also, Eddie notices that I have 2 chips in my windshield. I explain to him that the spider crack is from last year and has already been sealed, which I paid $40 for and the one next to it is the new chip. He gets to work and Eddie actually seals both chips to the point where both are hardly visible! He tells me that the guy that I paid to originally seal the first crack either didn't do anything at all to repair it or he did it completely wrong!
