My parents have taken their cars to Jim's for decades. My father is a car collector (both late model and classic). Growing up, he had a different vehicle for each day of the week but chose a 1964 Chevy truck as his daily driver. He took any repair or bodywork to Jim's exclusively (including my mother's cars). My mother has continued to take her vehicles to Jim's for repair. So when I recently needed work, I decided to "keep it in the family" and go to Jim's for an estimate. The receptionist was a bit cold both on the phone and in person but was professional (I am not much of a talker myself, so it is not odd to me, but I have spoken to more warm personalities in the business). Upon arrival, I awaited the Estimator and heard my voice promptly. The office is quiet, with lovely furnishings throughout. Ed Dizon eventually greeted me. We exchanged pleasantries (with smiles) and then went out to my vehicle to assess the damage. I was highly impressed when Ed found the damage without my pointing it out. I knew I was dealing with a true professional. Ed entered my vehicle and started it to retrieve the mileage, production date, condition, etc. Next, he exited the car and explained the plan for repair thoroughly and in detail (which I greatly appreciated). Ed then went into the office to prepare the estimate. A short while later, he emerged with a conclusive breakdown and explained everything in the evaluation. Ed appeared kind, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Combined with my parents' experience, referral, and patronage, I knew this was the place I was to have my vehicle fixed until I returned home. You see, I have a dashcam, and I download the footage and save it after every drive. As I was going through the files, I heard Ed say something. Keep in mind that I was outside while he was in my vehicle with the windows up. I first heard his words via the Bluetooth speakers on my PC. I listened again with headphones, then my AirPods, believing I had to have heard what was said incorrectly. I listened to the same thing each time. Not wanting to be wrong, I sent the file to various family members and friends for their take. Mind you; I did not mention what I thought I heard as I did not want to influence them in any way. I was genuinely hoping to be wrong. But, nope, all five reiterated the same thing I thought I heard verbatim. I am talking about not even a one-word difference; it was the precise phrase from everyone. I will not write what Ed spoke (if Yelp allowed audio, I might share it - I still may on another platform). However, I do know what he said and that it was hurtful. I was here praising someone I believed to be a gentleman when my dashcam recorded how Ed truly felt. I am glad I got to hear his thoughts before giving Jim my business. However, what was said was rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. I am still trying to figure out what prompted Ed to blurt out such a thing. But I am fortunate he was unaware of my dashcam so that his true feelings and who he is were made known. After patronizing Jim's since the '80s, my family and I will take our business elsewhere. I do not know if Jim or James runs the shop these days, but they would be wise not to hire employees like Ed Dizon. If anything, I wish they could hear and know what he said (completely unprovoked), but I know that may never happen, so this will have to be a warning to others. Ed just lost your company business from a family that would have remained loyal for the rest of our lives. My how times truly have changed. read more

Just want to thank Brian and Jim's auto body on the great work they have done for my car. I was unfortunately in an accident where my front and rear bumpers had been damaged. Brian was very thorough and was able to find just about all the underlying damage to the car and had it restored back to its original state. Brian was very helpful and gave me step by step processes in where my car was during the repairs. He was also able to address a few of my customizations on the car and everything is exactly like it was before the accident. I worked with Rick R. and he has been truly amazing keeping me in the loop every step of the way and explaining things in a way that makes sense to a 28yr old female. Rick called and emailed me with updates, sought my approval before making any changes, sent photos of damage/repair, and most importantly made me feel like I was in "good hands". If I could give Jim's Auto Body a negative number rating I would! I have never had such a horrid experience in my life! While it was in their shop to be repaired, they broke multiple clips on various places on my car and never told me. They left overspray on the side of they car that they didn't even work on, they broke part of my headlamp and never told me. They lost a foam bumper (1 of 2 pieces) under the hood (never told me) and when they should have only replaced the 1 missing bumper they took the 1 bumper and replaced it with the cheap part they bought (claiming they had to buy 2-not true if they would have bought the correct piece). When they replaced the missing bumper they installed it in the wrong place! You could totally tell they were not the correct parts as they didn't even fit correctly! When they took the overspray off from inside my drivers door they erased part of the info from the original manufacturers sticker from Ford! They did a bad job painting and my car had to have the paint job fixed. The back bumper had to be totally repainted. There were bubbles, dust spots that had to be fixed, and a chip in the paint that they wouldn't fix as they said I did it. I was on vacation for 10 days & never drove the car & it appeared after I got my car back the 2nd time. My car went back & forth to their shop for 4 months! The guy who worked the claim & the manager actually YELLED at me in front of the shop one day! I was dumbfounded!! What I have written isn't even all of the stress I went thru! Thank goodness the insurance company finally took care of me in the end (kind of). DO NOT EVER USE THIS SHOP! I have never been so sorry in my life! I read the review before I chose a body shop. I thought they would be great based on their reviews. I was so WRONG! read more

I have nothing good or decent at all about this place, about my service or the fact that I am "ass out" of almost an EXTRA $500 because this repair took more than a month due to vendor and part issues! The kicker for me was the fact that instead of the shop assisting in coverage of my rental ( their vendor was the reason things took so long, my insurance covered 30 days, this repair was over 30 days), the manger made me feel as if this was my fault! I just hope the next time Jim's screws someone they have the decency to kiss them first! Even my adjuster tried to mediate things between Jim's and I and was unsuccessful. They were also very rude to them as well! At least I was able to get their help filing a complaint with Allstate about my treatment. Never Again! I had a minor car accident and my insurance company told me to go to Jim's to get my car checked out. I walked in and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. After letting them know why I was there, I was asked to wait. No coffee, no water offered. An adjuster came up to me after waiting 10 minutes, and asked me to take him to my car. We walked out to my car and he asked me what happened. As I talked, he wrote. Then his attitude became different. As he tried to explain the procedure, his tone was short. Since I was in no mood for anyones 'tude' that day, I had to become 'Tude Girl' and had to act like I was Paris Hilton! It was only then that he changed his demeanor and became apologetic. I just turned and walked back into the office to wait for him to finish his report. When he came back in to give my my copies, he was politeness personified. Several months ago we were selling a very low mileage Lexus and had an accident, other guy's fault, but we both had Mercury Insurance. My first mistake was taking my car to the body shop that Mercury recommended, Jim's. Estimate was over $10,000 and they were very nice and told me all about the big machine that was going to straighten out my frame. Long story short, they didn't use the big machine and never straightened the frame, and the gaps between the fender and bumper were uneven. Manager came out and tried to tell me all Lexus are like that, BS. Eventually Mercury agreed for me to take my car to another shop who disassembled and found all sorts of shortcuts Jim's took, like drilling out holes on new hood so it would fit. New shop showed me the before and after printouts from the frame straightening machine. Very disappointed in the sham repair job done by Jim's. And the manager there is a real piece of work. read more

My pregnant fiances car got hit so her insurance reccomended bringing it to jims auto body they had to replace the side doors and change the wheel bearing due to the accident when she got the car back she heard a loud screeching sound coming from the front right tire that was never there before wich was the side of the wheel bearing they replaced they told her to bring it back so she did and they let their mechanic drive it and the mechanic said it was coming from the back tires, so the employee (his name is "Ed") and my fiance drove the car and "Ed" also told my fiance that it was coming from the back tire and it had nothing to do with what they had fixed on the car, also that he had to hurry and leave because he had a Dr.s appointment, well obviously the sound was coming from the front tire so I told her to reach back out to insurance and tell them the issue, they told us to bring it to the dealership to get it diagnosed again, once we did that the dealer ship gave us the diagnosis wich was in their. words " excessive play in the right front wheel bearing, causing hub and rotor to hit against backing plate causing wear on rotor ". We had the car back from them driving the car like this for 3 weeks my pregnant fiance and 3 daughters drove around in this unsafe vehicle after she brought it back to them and told them that they had messed something up and all they did was say it was not their fault! highly upset and looking to bring forth legal action. I would like for the ceo to reach out to me with some type of compensation for improper installation and risking my family's life and having to go through this nightmare after she told them their was an issue and they denied it, what if it would've caused an accident this is rediculous! read more

Accident was June of 2016... still having issues with the claim (per phone call moments ago) since their statements do not match their actions. Battery terminals do not just corrode off in straight, clipped-off like lines, or do they and I am less savvy than hoped for? I don't know. I do know that when your vehicle is just a 'truck' not a new BMW it takes a full month to re-place a quarter panel and bend a frame. (bout, 20 hrs work the est. said?) It was nice of the rep to at least tell me when I called that I would be put off to the next day, and the next, and the next. "Hey, yeah I've got to talk to the mechanic and that's after lunch which is in an hour and I'll be out for an hour so I may not get to talk to him today...etc" was a typical mid morning conversation. Nice to know when they're 'just not that into you.' Hey, I figured they'd want my vehicle off the lot faster since it wasn't a Mercedes. Boy was I wrong! There is a love and want to hold on to the less flashy for reasons beyond my comprehension. Made more frustrating because I could not get a rental and had no other transportation. (but what do they care? they didn't lose their jobs) Though my truck was there for over a month and they repeatedly has issues with my battery, it was clearly I who waited until they returned it and snapped the terminals off myself. Bare handed no less. The purpose was so I could call my insurance back again, get another diagnostic, and pay more money on the claim as I so love to do. This after 3 bills were sent to my ins. agent with 'flaws' on them and overcharges... but I'm sure they sleep at night just fine. read more

Had to take my car back 4 times. Needed to go back a 5th, but I'm done. I'd rather have a jacked up rear wiper than deal with them again. Very upsetting. No apologies, they even tried to make me pay when the water damage was from them leaving my son roof cracked in the rain. I'm a writing this review to caution others from trusting this facility. I called for a client, she was having an issue with the quality of the results of this shop's work. She noticed the paint did not match the entire car, she was told that the insurance company will not pay for the paint to be matched. I spoke to Mark, ?service writer? and explained the situation. He was very rude and dismissive. I was trying to smooth things over between him and the customer, instead he brings up some personal issue that has nothing to do with the claim. I ask if there's a reason why he's being dismissive, no response, then I ask when the vehicle will be complete. Mark replies: "It'll be done when its done. I'm not giving you a set time." It was clear there were no results to be gained from this call. Customers are not welcome here, neither are insurance claims that are amicably being resolved. This shop is not willing to communicate in a mature and calm manner. Please refrain from bringing your vehicle here. read more

My 2011 Honda Accord had cosmetic damage to the front bumper. Someone had backed into it and the trailer hitch put a pretty good indent on the bumper. CSAA had Jim's as one of their preferred shops. I dropped it off on Monday afternoon, the friendly receptionist called Hertz to pick me up and by Thursday early afternoon, they called me to tell me my car was ready. I was thrilled to have it a day earlier than they estimated and I didn't even have to drop off my car rental, they'd arrange the pick up. Everyone was friendly and courteous and it was little inconvenience to me. My car was washed and clean and the bumper looks flawless. I highly recommend them. read more
