Since it was my first time tinting my car in Oakley, I wanted to make sure I picked the right place, and booking an appointment with them was quick and easy. The location was also close to home, which made the process even more convenient. When I arrived, the shop was clean, neatly organized, and thoughtfully decorated. I especially liked the billboard displaying different wrap colors--it gave the place a professional and creative feel. The staff member who helped me walked me through the different tint options available. Even though I had already decided on the basic tint, which I had requested a quote for on Yelp, he continued to push some of the higher-end options. While I understand he was doing his job, it felt a bit unnecessary, and once I stuck to my choice, his enthusiasm seemed to fade. I asked a few more questions, but his responses were minimal, which left me feeling slightly brushed off. The tinting process was estimated to take most of the day, which I didn't mind, as I was planning to pick up the car before closing. However, I never received a call letting me know the car was ready, so I had to reach out to the store myself. Despite that communication issue, the actual tint work was excellent. The final result looked clean and professional, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. After the owner gave me a one hour spiel about how good he was and what other people do wrong and what he does different, I decided to go with him. Let's just say it's been a very big soar spot for me. Having to go back six times to correct things, was very annoying, and then to have the audacity to tell me my paint was bad from the start just did it for me. So, I can and will always say Chris runs an awesome business, his workers are tops in what they do. It was a messy, complex job. Not many people in the Bay will take on a job like this so we really appreciate Paul doing so! I drove the car home today and it's truly as good as new. HIGHLIGHTS In addition to the work we agreed on-which they did well-Paul also threw in a bit extra, doing a bit of bonus body work. He clearly cares and takes great pride in his work. NOTES This kind of work is labor-intensive and it required a lot of investigation-which means it was also quite expensive. We had a bit of sticker-shock in the end. I recommend asking periodically what the total will be because it snuck up on us. (Paul communicates a ton-by text and phone-but more about the details-so you might need to ask him to bring it back up to the big picture, and to get it summarized in a work order with an estimated cost that you can track.) And definitely get insurance looped in from Day One! That said, Paul's also working closely with us to get insurance to reimburse most of the cost. I'll update this review again when the insurance case is closed, and can hopefully add that the cost to us after insurance *wasn't* an arm and a leg (Fingers crossed!) But either way I'm confident that we're lucky to have had a team as caring and knowledgeable get our car back into livable condition. Big thanks to Paul and team for all you did to remediate some thorny animal/hazmat issues with our car!
