I was in town for a work trip and stumbled across this bakery / restaurant because it was a vegan place close to my hotel. Needless to say this was the only place I ate for the rest of the week, not just because it was in close proximity to my hotel, but because the food and owners are amazing! I made it my goal to literally try every item on the menu. The philly cheese steak and spicy chicken sandwich were my absolute favorites for entrees, but her special for the week was also amazing. The truffle burger is also good, but go for one of her specialty items, you won't be disappointed. I tried several pastries which reminded me so much of hot pockets but 1000times better. The cupcakes were good and moist with great flavor. I brought several items back to Cali when I had to leave and I can't wait to go back and visit them again. I ordered the breakfast sandwich (sawsage patty, eggz, and cheeze on English muffin), chickpea scramble pastry pocket, and blueberry muffin. Everything was divine. The owners and staff were super friendly, too. Food was pretty good. My husband thought his philly cheese steak sandwich didn't have much flavor but really liked my spicy chicken sandwich. Tasty but too spicy for me. We got a chocolate croissant that was only ok but it was also the very end of the day so that could have been the reason. We were a tad bit disappointed on the portion of fries. My husband and I were in the area hungry for lunch so we asked Siri for Vegan restaurants nearby. First of all driving to the strip where it is located was a bit sketchy as the lot needed repaving and the entire strip needs a face lift. Stepped inside to a swanky dimly lit room where the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the cauliflower hot wings (half and half) sweet potato fries and the pulled jack fruit/mushroom sandwich along with a berry smoothie. The wings were smothered in so much sauce you couldn't savor any of the flavor as were the sandwich (too much sauce) sweet potato fries were just short of being over cooked which is how I like them served and the smoothie was a bit grainy with an after taste that was not to my liking. Seating was ok, the inside dining sofa was too low and very uncomfortable so we sat side by side. The outdoor seating appeared to be better. Probably will not return. read more

Lovely, beautiful and kind souls are the owners of Wisdom Bakery. They have created a peaceful, calm and charming atmosphere where all are welcome. You will find a cozy table or perhaps enjoy the sofa by the window. Wonderful conversations and friendships are found in this sweet cafe. They are compassionate and wonderful vegans. We miss them greatly after moving - may have to take a roadtrip - just to visit and enjoy the incredible food. Speaking of the food - hands down the absolute best vegan food we have enjoyed at any restaurant. From the burgers, to the wings - don´t get me started on those cake pops! OK, despite my less-than-stellar 3-star rating, I really love this place! Delicious lunch options for someone on a plant-based diet -- or anyone. I am a big fan of the quinoa veggie wrap and the crispy "chicken" wrap. Not cheap ($9), but worth it in my opinion. Oh... and the cupcakes and brownies are beyond delicious! So why not 5 stars??? Two problems: 1) Orders take FOREVER... even when you call in. Recently I called in an order for a wrap and they told me it would be ready in 15 minutes.... I was there in 15 minutes and waited another 20 minutes! Unfortunately, this is typical. 2) The location sucks. It is difficult to get to (no matter where you're coming from) and it's super tiny inside (which makes me extremely uncomfortable in the age of COVID; suggest getting rid of tables/sofas for a while). I've been wanting to try this place since I found out about it a few months ago. I've been plant-based since Aug 2020 and love to find new eateries with vegan options. I was a bit disappointed. I had the "chicken" wrap which was delicious except it had way too much salt for my liking. Also tried the fried cauliflower appetizer which was very greasy (an air fryer would work better and it's quicker). Their burgers were not house made (impossible burgers) which I don't expect in a vegan place, but more in a place that is not vegan that tries to offer a meatless option. I wish they had a burger option that was not processed. If you are looking for vegan baked goods (I'm not big on sweets) this may be more for you, but I was not happy with their lunch option as my hope is when I find a vegan place that their food is healthy with minimal salt, oil and sugar and no processed foods. I still have hope and will watch their menu to see if they add healthier lunch options. The staff was friendly and they atmosphere, though small, was cool. read more

Took the drive from Richmond/Katy area and this place did not disappoint. For starters the coffee was sooo rich and delicious. We take it black to rrealy taste the flavor and throughly enjoyed it. The place was so well hidden but incredibly aesthetic inside. Could totally spend and afternoon the drinking coffee and trying the food. We ordered the BBQ Pulled Jackfruit mushroom sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries, the Candied Walnut Waffles, the Spicy "chicken" sandwich. Lastly we had the last cupcake in the display cabinet and saved it for late dessert not to be disappointed. Every item was delicious and extremely flavored to what we were looking forward to and missing since the transition. I love the rib sandwich, kolache, muffins, the croissants are amazing. My hubby really likes their smoothies but I am a coffee fan myself. They have a big expensive coffee machine that pulls great shots off espresso, like 5 different plant milks, and a wide range of vegan syrups. They even sell their coffee by the bag and that's what I use at home. This place is great to take kids and non-vegan friends or just to try vegan food for the first time. Come in here multiple times a week sometimes since finding this place. Definitely best vegan place around town. The coffee is the best and always perfect temperature. I've tried just about everything from them from cupcakes and cookies to pulled pork sandwiches and lunch specials. The service is spectacular very pleasant atmosphere and such good vibes. I know absolutely NOTHING about Vegan Food choices & the one restaurant I previously tried left a bad taste in my mouth (literally.) I was in the mood for something new & wanted to "Try" something different. EVERYTHING was delicious! I had the (chicken) Spinach Wrap, Fries, & one of their lattes. The owners took the time to explain what everything was & what to expect & they were SPOT ON! I'm not a big sweet eater, but I'm definitely going back.
