The doggy wall

One of the best flavors of coffee I've ever had was here, their French Toast Latte. If I ever need a good wake up after a rough night with my toddler, I come here lol. Their breakfast sandwiches are so good as well!!! They have indoor and outdoor seating as well! The ambience and service is always great as well!

French Toast Latte

Tried this place out this past weekend. I ordered the French toast latte. It really just tasted like a cinnamon latte which was ok. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese which was simple. Very expensive for two sandwiches and two coffees over $30. Thank you for your passive aggressive reply. When I said it was simple I meant just that, it's a bacon egg and cheese so for almost $8 that's insane. A good business owner usually just takes review/criticism without feeling the need to respond back to everything a customer experienced. Two coffees and two small simple sandwiches should never cost almost $40. Thanks

Espresso

If I could give this place 20 stars I would!! The coffee is delicious, I always order a double espresso over ice with different flavors every-time. The espresso is real not the weak kind. There food is so good too and has vegan options which can be hard to find! On top of the amazing coffee and food, the owners and the people there are wonderful. Ps- they are dog friendly and always give Roxy a pup cup. Just to note this place is very small but they have a cute outdoor spot - right next to the Oceanside train station!

Parking right by the LIRR. Nice seating area out side. Very busy, employees are friendly. I ordered a large cold brew with no milk oreo cold foam coffee with 2 pumps of liquid sugar. I had to wait a while because they had a lot of customer's and called ahead orders, but it was worth the wait. They have different varieties of teas, coffees, and sandwiches.

WCH is a small quaint convenient coffee shop with courteous staff. Their breakfast sandwiches to go are placed into individually carton containers which I presume increase the price of food. I haven't tried their coffee/ espresso yet. There's enough space for four to dine in and they do not charge extra for credit cards. I think that this place is best for grab and go coffee rather than for a dine in experience. I particularly enjoyed the outside seating which was plentiful, clean, and within yards from the LIRR station.

From its IG presence I never would've guessed this place is a hole in the wall. Good things come in small packages I guess. Solid coffee shop with fun flavors and a decent menu. Prices were very fair. I grabbed a cold brew on the way to the LIRR. Will be back to try some lattes!

4 star may be slightly generous, but I'll take this place over Starbucks any day. We were "forced" to come to Wired this AM because the Oceanside Starbucks is temporarily closed for "renovations." No idea why, as the store is less than 5 years old. Who knows, who cares. Wired is right next to the Oceanside train station, so parking is not an issue at all on weekends. Maybe that's different on weekdays (then again, maybe it isn't given the rise of mayor Eric Adam's beloved "pajama class.") I think Wired lets you order ahead, but we actually WENT INSIDE AND ORDERED WITH ANOTHER HUMAN. The cashier kindly presented their menu, which led to us ordering some sort of egg sandwich (I hate eggs, but my fiancée didn't complain so I guess it was good), avocado toast, a "double espresso" that had a thimble full of weak coffee-like juice, a small black coffee and the girls order of 2 "fancy" drinks: some sort of chai with oat milk and a s'more cold foam thing. Can't speak to the latter 2 beverages, but the black coffee from the bunn machine was quite good. Smooth but not "diner weak." I like it better than Starbucks. Forgot to mention my avocado toast. It was on very thickly sliced whole wheat bread that was very lightly toasted. That's ok, it served as a nice vessel for what should have been a larger amount of avocado topping. It was decent, I've had better and also had worse. No taste of lemon juice as the menu description promises. Boy do I sound like a pretentious jerk, spending a few minutes of a beautiful morning whining about the lack of lemon juice on my avocado toast. They have seating outside (weather permitting) and few stools inside by the window, however the inside is a bit cramped. If you have a kid, they might like to watch the trains that come by. Decent amount of baked goods and parfaits in the case. We saw a guy bring out more of them. Maybe they bake on premises? For the area, this place is pretty good. No chaos of Starbucks and better (or in the case of espresso, no worse) quality. Prices aren't cheap but that's the same for everywhere on this island. Use the Yelp check-in coupon the first time you go, we got 50% off and it brought the total down to 1 Benjamin. They also offer educator discounts if you ask. Bonus for the bad bunny soundtrack to help perk you up.

The house breakfast sandwich

I can't get enough of this place. The sandwiches are always deeelicious, everything is so fresh. All the coffee and hot chocolate flavors are bomb. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Located in the parking lot of the Oceanside LIRR, this tiny coffee shop has some top notch coffee & pastries. As someone who only drinks coffee about once a month, I always try to make sure it's a really good cup and this place did not disappoint. I went with a iced caramel latte and the balance of coffee and sweetness was perfect. Their iced coffee is super smooth and not bitter at all like some places. I also got a cinnamon scone which seemed to be baked fresh and was absolutely delicious. The staff here are really sweet and they have a Yelp offer where if you check in you get 20% off. They also seemed to have some really good hot teas/iced teas which I look forward to trying next time. Overall a really great coffee shop- you won't regret visiting. (Side note: seating is limited with maybe 3-4 stools)

Iced rose chai with almond milk
Sam K.

One of my new favorite coffee shops! The crazy part is that this is only 5 minutes from my house, and I just visited for the first time. I didn't realize that they had so many unique coffee flavors, as well as breakfast and lunch items. I spent a few minutes staring at the menu because I couldn't decide what to go with, but I got an iced rose chai with almond milk and a BEC. I love chai, but have never seen this flavor before, so I was excited to try it. It definitely exceeded my standards. The service here is also amazing, and I didn't wait more than a couple minutes for my items. I love that this is located right next to the train station, so I'll be getting it most days before I go into the city for work!

Salted White Chocolate Latte
Sunny C.

Been here a few times and their service is always excellent. They have a punch card for if you buy their drinks. I've tried their salted white chocolate latte with toasted marshmallow cold foam and it was a bit sweet for me, but their blue raspberry lemonade is delicious. The large (20 oz) lemonade is 5. I've also tried their avocado toast and their pesto egg melt. I really enjoyed the pesto egg melt both times I've had it. They also have a variety of baked goods such as donuts, muffins, bars, cake pops, cookies, rainbow cookies, and little jars of desserts. Great place to swing by for a snack or drink before heading on the LIRR since it is right in the Oceanside train station's parking lot.

Nice coffee shop near the oceanside train station. Maybe nicer on a warm sunny day but the coffee was good and the space small.

Not sure what brought us to Franklin Square, but I'm glad we came here. The place is adorbs. The menu is fire. I need to try every thing ok it. This time I got the fig and prosciutto toast with a side of corned beef hash. The toast was fire amazing. I kinda thought the orange marmalade was a bit over powering but that's my flavor preference. It was a hard decision to pick what to east. So many damn good dishes. Staff was super sweet and quick although we didn't feel rushed. Putting this on my list of go tos for sure!

Here is what I found. Visiting this Brunchery is convenient due to the municipal park and lock across the street just in case you don't find parking directly in front of the restaurant. Visiting Franklin & Phoebe Brunchery at 11 AM was a perfect time because it was not crowded and I found its festive decor very inviting and warm. Franklin & Phoebe Brunchery is spacious and offers group setting as well as a romantic setting, including a casual dining experience. I found the service at Franklin & Phoebe Brunchery to be subpar and there are too many waiters/ waitresses walking as well as bus persons and runners, to be ignored. I understand that this is supposed to be a high-volume brunch spot, but Franklin & Phoebe was not crowded. More on this later. I ordered the -Wild Wild West omelette- it consisted of marinated steak, red onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese. This was a delicious meal. The steak was well done as requested and cooked just right, very tender, not hard to chew. The eggs were delicious as well and cooked well. $24- 5/5 The home fries were pretty good, I don't know if peppers and onions were supposed to accompany the home fries, regardless they were pretty tasty after adding ketchup. 5/5 The Vanilla Chai Latte was really good and the presentation was dynamite. I think I paid for the fancy presentation. $6-5/5 The waitress came over thrice in the beginning- 1. Drink order, 2. To take our order. We were still exploring the menu so 3. She came once more. After that, she was Casper the Friendly Ghost. Sure, she had other guests but for the entire meal, she was absent from my table. I can't say that she disappeared because I saw her writing checks. And another guest waited a long time as well. I had intentions to purchase another Vanilla Chai Latte, but it took too long for my waitress to return. What was sarcastically funny, when she finally returned to my table, she had the audacity to ask if I wanted something. I am thinking to myself -order something else and sit for another 30 minutes. Nah, I'm good! My point of view- I came to eat and leave instead; I ate and stayed- longer than I had intended. I surpassed the giving mode and was now in the bare minimum mode, in other words, the 25% greatly decreased. Improvement suggestion- an attentive and alert wait staff is most appreciative, so mentioning that to the wait staff is highly recommended. Inspire more, Yelp more!

We started with the calamari, which was delicious, and even the bread they brought out was so fresh and warm. For dinner, I got the spicy rigatoni and added shrimp, and it was absolutely amazing. My date got the short rib pappardelle and loved his as well. We finished with the cheesecake, and this is where I have to give a huge shoutout to our waitress, Amanda. She was incredible from start to finish -- attentive, sweet, charismatic, funny, and just genuinely made the whole experience that much better. When we ordered dessert, she told us she was going to find us an awesome, big piece of cheesecake and asked which drizzle we wanted -- raspberry, chocolate, or caramel. Naturally, I said, "Give me all the drizzle," and she immediately said, "You got it." When she came back, she told us she didn't think she was able to find us a big enough piece, so she was taking the dessert off the bill. Meanwhile, we were looking at the cheesecake thinking the portions were completely fine! It was such a sweet and unnecessary gesture, and the cheesecake itself was delicious. The Harrison already has great food and such a nice vibe, but Amanda really made the experience memorable. She's the main reason I wanted to go out of my way to leave a review. After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!
