It wasn't just that his price was fair, they had re-sided a co-worker's home ~11 years prior and their name was listed in his stack of references. I spoke to my co-worker and they STILL had good things to say about Gino and Lifetime. In addition, the company is Hardieplank Elite Preferred installer, meaning they were up to date on any installation best practices and that was important to me. Unlike all of the other bids, there was no pressure. Gino was easy to work with, extremely responsive, meticulous attention to detail. No overselling or "the sky is falling" behavior. No eye rolling or treating me like I was a PIB at the end when some little painting details needed extra attention. Was very respectful of me as a woman. No weirdness or disconnect from his team. Everyone was on the same page. And his team are direct employees of Lifetime ... for many multiple of years. This latter point spoke volumes to me. His employees were superlative workers who were VERY careful about picking up debris, daily check-ins, keeping an eye out for my dog's safety, etc. They were on time, in budget and did great work with everyone being super professional. I will definitely hire Gino in the future for other projects. It was such a relief to have real people with a true business ethic not just working on, but taking care of my home. Thank you Gino!

I was in contact with the main contractor the whole time and the same great group of guys did it all; siding, windows and painting. After 3 different bids, Lifetime was right in the middle but at the end they gave us a top dollar experience.

They then painted the exterior of the home, painted the front and back patio, and painted and installed a new front door. The quality of work is outstanding! We were extremely satisfied and happy with the way they were able to transform our house. They went above and beyond as well, fixing things along the way that were not even on the quote (fixing our sagging exterior fence doors, random trim around the house that needed replacing, getting rid of random unused cables attached to home, installing a new security camera, and doing some masonry work on a big brick planter we have). Communication is constant and they'll fill you in on progress without hesitation. Extremely great value for the quality of work they do. You really can't do better than BNC Hammer for your construction and painting needs.

Over the years, I've gotten to know Matt and have seen firsthand how he operates his company. His reputation for honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship is well deserved. In an industry where cutting corners is all too common, Matt does the opposite -- he sets the bar. His jobs are well-managed, communication is clear, and the end results speak for themselves. If you're in the Portland or Lake Oswego area and want a remodeling contractor who combines skill, transparency, and great leadership, I'd highly recommend Ziebart Construction.

We felt this could greatly improve our home, and a designer was needed to get the best return on the work. Kaitlyn was essential to our process. Preparation is Key. We used photos and ideas from magazines, websites and other sources to show your designer. We started by identifying our "needs" and "wants". Then we went to determine what's most important to you to help manage costs. The team walked through each item on our list to understand function and cost. We went shopping to look at fixture options. Having a general idea of the fixtures you like (tubs, sinks, etc.) is helpful, as their dimensions affect the design. It's best establish a budget range so the designer can make recommendation. Kaitlyn helped us through the process, and we went over budget so my tips may help. She offered alternatives however we like what we like. The best part of the process was the communication. The portal used to send updates worked great. Kaitlyn allowed us to express our ideas, preferences, and concerns clearly and honestly. She took all of that and worked out a layout that was far beyond our dreams. She kept us actively involved in the design process and provide timely feedback. All the right steps were taken during the design process. TheRemodelGroup maintained open communication with us and helped us create a beautiful and functional bathroom design that hopefully will meet our needs and enhance our home.

They followed through and met all the goals we mutually set. What really impressed me was how they accommodated some special needs we had. For medical reasons, I have to be able to take a bath approximately every 72 hours, though 48 is better. They made sure to set things up so that I never had to go more than three days without tub access. We did have a problem with one supplier, Kohler. They sent two subtly different colored shower wall panels. Though we looked at them outside before installation, because we hadn't checked them side by side once indoors, we didn't realize the mistake after installation took place. Kohler not only sent the wrong colored panels, they continued to shoot past every single delivery date they gave us for months. We were supposed to get the panels at the end of November. They didn't arrive until March and it upped the cost of the project because THE Remodel Group had to demo out what was first installed and then install the proper product. Because I approved what we saw before it was installed, they could have told me "Not our problem, you need to pay for it," but they didn't. They cut their rate for the demo and reinstall to labor only. Even months after the project was done, THE Remodel Group continued to advocate on our behalf for Kohler to reimburse us for that extra cost and yesterday, Steve delivered the check in person. While the project did have delays, it was out of THE Remodel Group's hands. Every single person I've ever talked with about having a contractor work on the house has had horror stories about their contractors. While we did have a problem with the project, THE Remodel Group was absolutely perfect. We recommend them to anyone and everyone. They will be our first and only call when we want to remodel our other bathroom and kitchen in the future.

Once Sitka cracks a wall or floor open, there may be nasty little secrets in there that weren't initially assessed. We hired Sitka Projects in May of 2019 for a complete tear down of the kitchen, nook, and bathroom of our Portland Craftsman home. These rooms were an embarrassing eyesore, and we wanted to restore them to what we imagined they might have looked like at their zenith. We have an old coal chimneypiece that adds a lot of character to the space, and two of the contractors who came in to bid had wanted to get rid of it, to open the kitchen to the dining room and give our 1917 house a more "modern feel". But when Brad walked on our porch and looked at the eaves, his first remark had been: "They sure don't make 'em like this anymore"; and when we went inside and he said about the chimneypiece (without me even mentioning it), "I hope you're not thinking of getting rid of this!", I knew I had my man. The thing that I appreciated most about Brad was that he stayed true to *our* vision, and he was always small-detail oriented and quality driven. He was also a blast to work with! I felt like he was excited and personally invested in making our remodel the greatest success it could possibly be . . . which he did. And he navigated through our project with a rare and commendable calm and skill. Sitka worked in our home for about four months, and we were dreading having strangers in and out. However, our carpenter was a perfect gentleman, beautiful, brilliant Benito Benito Benito (our daughter's excited greeting for him every morning). For someone who worked like an absolute machine, you would've hardly have known he was there. He's an outstanding worker, a very nice man, and he did remarkably fine work in our home, much of it singlehandedly. The crown moldings he built and placed for us are particularly breathtaking, as is the table leg he built for our nook. His tile laying was top notch. The paint guys also did an excellent job. The finish is flawless and looks baked on. The wallpaper subcontractor, too, was meticulous; I had complicated patterns and sloped walls, but everything is lined up, with invisible seams and no glue showing. Sitka made our house more livable and pleasant. Everyone who visits here is blown away by the quality of their craftsmanship. I would never hesitate to hire Brad again in the future, or recommend him most enthusiastically to others.
