First time we've made it to opening day (April 1st) and it did not disappoint. They've added a beautiful and innovative pergola style dining area just outside the doorway. The area is heated, has louvered roof slats that can close during inclement weather, and has LED lighting that can be adjusted (color and light level). A wonderful addition and certainly welcome during those sporadic times when showers pass through. Food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was attentive and took great care of everyone. So nice to see so many familiar faces (staff and guests). Looking forward to the 2026 season.

They have made a new outside area that is beautifully done and has made the restaurant even more desirable because you are basically sitting in the marina with the ocean at your side! We had a yummy lunch. Tara took good care of us because she is a seasoned server for sure and always on her game. I actually request her for that reason. Anyway they always aim to please.. doesn't get any better than that! Thank you to the entire staff!

I ate at Liv today after a very long time. It was fabulous. The reason I didn't go for a while was…read morebecause of a health issue that affected my mobility. I use a cane now, and Liv was the first place on my list of faves to inquire about accessibility. They responded quickly, with kindness and reassurance, and I immediately felt comfortable venturing there. Candace, the server, was awesome. I had the Mermaid Lemonade, oysters, tuna tataki and the Firecracker Shrimp. Oh my!!! Oysters were perfect, I always get the kimchee (which is house made by the chef/owner). The ponzu sauce on the tataki was so good and the delicate little hot peppers on top were the perfect touch. And the shrimp!! Go! Run! Have it! The sauce HD notes of honey, lime and sweet chili. If no one was present I would have picked up the serving dish and poured every last drop of it into my mouth. To add to my experience- Candace recognized me, told Tom, and he came out to say hello and thank me for coming. PS - The shrimp is seasonal. Please go there and convince the owner that it needs to be on the menu all the time.

First time here and even though it started a bit rocky, it ended perfectly!…read more You would never know that this restaurant existed because it is tucked away in a small shopping center way in the back. But, I am glad to have gone here with my friend. The food is fresh, and local. Similar to a farm to table experience. These are my takeaways: Service: Could've been better and with a smile, but in the end it all worked out and we were happy so that is all that matters. Sometimes the way you walk in (energy of the restaurant), does not affect the way you walk out (overall experience). Food: Dollar Oysters were the best and you can't beat the price on a Friday evening. Plus they were from Duxbury so it was well worth it. Farm burger was amazing and definitely order it with the truffle fries for sure. Although my friend did not like the Quail egg but that was her so every one is different. I loved my Lemon Chicken, I ate the whole thing. It was a thin piece of chicken with potatoes but the sauce with the capers really did it for me. I wanted to dip everything into the sauce. It was delish! Drinks/Wine: They have a good wine list too. I liked both the Chenin Blanc and the White Blend. My friend ordered the Smoking Rita which she liked (but without the Mezcal. They also make a good espresso martini too. This paired nicely with our Bread Pudding. Dessert: Here is where the place shined as well. Because the bread pudding was amazing and so flavorful and decadent. We both shared it and it was plenty. Really great and fun place to check out. Ryan our bartender was very friendly and suggested all the good items on the menu. I highly recommend!

I had one of my favs.. ahi tuna minus the seaweed and 2 extra crispy wontons. I visited the Fairview yesterday with my girlfriend. It was my first time, but she had been there…read moremany times in the eight years she's lived nearby. When we entered, she introduced me to the young woman who greeted us and another woman, a waitress, who was standing beside her. My girlfriend introduced this waitress by telling us "she called me the n-word to my face". I was surprised and did not know how to react. This woman responded with "that was a joke". No apology, but an acknowledgement that she did actually say it. There is no context in which it is ok for her to use that word. There is no situation in which it is ok for her to say that to a woman of color DINING AND SPENDING MONEY IN YOUR RESTAURANT. There are many ways that a person can address the fact that they've said bad things in the past. "That was a joke"is not one of them. It's certainly not how it should be handled at work. There was no dispute that she said it. "You are a n*****." When called out, she said it was a joke. She did not say "I'm so sorry, I still feel awful", or "I'm so sorry I upset you", or even "I would never say that". Instead, she defended herself and her words by claiming it was a joke. It's not a joke and it never was. By saying that, she was letting me know that, while at work, there ARE acceptable uses for the n word. There are not. Do I need to say that I don't want to eat at a place where I might hear racial slurs? The waitress did not deny that she said it and she did not apologize. She defended herself and justified it. Saying it is disgusting and justifying it is disgusting. I have no suggestion for how to resolve this. Your waitress could have simply acknowledged that it is always wrong. Instead she chose to blame my girlfriend for taking it personally and not "getting the joke". Please clarify your position on when it is, and is not, ok for your staff to use racial slurs. If you think "it was a joke" makes it ok to look right at someone say "you're a n*****", you are wrong. It is indefensible. Allowing and defending this behavior is disgusting. Please take some action to show you understand.

I was in the area for yet another specialist appointment and was not feeling in the best spirit…read more Since it was a fasting appointment, I was pretty hungry so the hubby brought me here. I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

The staff is very friendly, even during the dinner rush when there are shows in town. The place is a little dark, but it's a pub -- that's part of the atmosphere. I started with an Allagash Ale while my wife had water. I always seem to gravitate toward the fish and chips, which are consistently crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. This time around, my wife ordered the fish tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. If you're heading to a show at the Hall, I highly recommend stopping here beforehand.
