Winners is a weird store. Not weird as in bad, just weird as in I either go to Winners and want to…read morebuy everything or I go in, and want to buy nothing and leave disgusted. My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

I am a fan of Winners in general, but the Leduc store doesn't quite make the grade for me. This…read morelocation offers the normal things that you would expect to find in a Winners such as hair products, mens, ladies, and childrens fashion, home decor, etc. but I find that the selection of products is just not as good as other stores that I visit. The selection of products and especially sizes of clothing is consistently limited and picked over at the Leduc store. This store does have a clearance section, but I find that it is usually filled with broken items that are not really discounted at all. My recommendation would be to go to one of the Winners locations in Edmonton as the selection in these stores tends to be better.

I went to buy a new fragrance for myself, switching to something new. I went to a couple of stores…read morethat have fragrance counters. I can honestly say you cannot beat The Bay fragrance department. The staff are so knowledgeable and you get the best deals there. I got lots of extras from the Estee Lauder counter. A great reusable cloth bag. And Estée Lauder samplers (actual samples and not just one use tear pouch) Including 30 dollars to my Bay rewards card for next purchase. Olive was excellent and helped me choose a scent that I loved. I feel really happy about my purchase.

Walking through the Bay Southgate or any Bay in Edmonton ( don't get me started on the West…read moreEdmonton mall Bay) you realize The Bay does NOT care about the Edmonton market. The stores are poorly staffed, poorly lit, and generally crap compared to other big cities in Canada. I'm sure Nordstrom's thought that if Edmontonians think this is quality shopping they're not ready for Nordstrom's. The one example that clearly sums up the Bay is the men's room. The Bay has to have the worst bathrooms in Canada. The ventilation in the men's room at Southgate is so so so bad there's either a cancer patient who's decided to crap himself to death or the sewers are backed up. All of this in Edmonton's most prestigious shopping center Southgate Bay. Any illusion we have that we're a big city is quickly shattered when you step into Southgate Bay and realize this is as good as it gets in Edmonton. It's depressing.

Came here the day after Black Friday and there was still a huge crowd and lots of great deals on…read morekids and family Christmas presents. I was able to find a great puzzle for my mom, a family game, novelty socks, swishmallow, and a nail polish set. All for under $40, I was very it impressed. One of the coolest things was they had an open pathway to Homesense which is located next door. But you could walk between either store and make a purchase at one side or the other. What a great idea!

Came to Marshalls the day after the grand opening…read more They are now a combo with Winners and HomeSense and their loyalty card points program reflects the same. They had some good deals on items like Roxy backpacks for $29.99 (I uploaded pics) and a shoe section that beats Winners handsdown (more like shoe warehouse). I uploaded lots of pics of shoes, too - of course! The toy section and home section were pretty small but that's okay 0- that's what Winners and HomeSense are for. They offer designer handbags ranging from $200 for a clutch right up to $900 (and of course, you got it - more pics!). Overall, the store felt 50% stocked - LOTS of space between aisles and it would appear they need to double their inventory. Expect the prices and quality to be inline with Winners and definitely worth a trip to wander around but nothing to write home about. Wish I could give them 3 stars - better than average but not quite in the 4 category to me.
