Winners is one of those stores where I either find lots of stuff or I find nothing I like at all. Except this last time I went to Winners on a mission, a mission to find a travel purse. I was looking for a specific brand and a friend said the Winners in Leduc sometimes has those purses, but they didn't last time i was in. When I was on the southside I thought I'd pop into the Calgary Trail Winners to see what they had. They didn't have the same brand I was looking at, but they had another similar brand in the style of purse I want (a medium, dark, cross body bag with anti-theft proof). I found what I wanted and it was a decent price too ($30). I didn't spend much else time in the store (had other things to do), but the store was clean and the purse was pretty easy to find (look in the travel section, not the purses section). I got what I needed, quickly, and at a reasonable price. Hurray! read more

Winners is one of my favorite places to shop. Be warned that it will take a bit more time to shop here though. It is one of those places that you need to look through everything before you find your treasure (or in my case, treasures). Winners has great prices and I always find something I love when I shop here. Everything is set up into section so you can easily find the type of stuff you are looking for (women's clothes, men's clothes, shoes, kid's clothes, bags, accessories . . . ). I always come here when I have to find something to buy my dad. They always have fun little guy gadgets and stuff that makes perfect gifts for the man in your life. This is my favorite Winners, there is so much selection that I rarely leave empty handed. I would guess that a 1/3 of the stuff in my house is from winners/Homesense. The trick is to not be looking for something specific as you probably won't find it unless you make a couple of trips. I love the designer fragrances and makeup. Be careful with the makeup as it may be broken or tampered with. That is crappy. I also love the health food selection. They have a great selection of unique items at about half the price if you can find them somewhere else. read more

Real winners shop at Winners. Okay - I just wanted to say that. I've been to this store a couple of times to pick up 'old model' things of items I've needed. For example, got yoga props from here today for $5.99. I've been using similar props at the studio so they're perfect for me! Yoga can be an expensive activity/hobby with mats and towels selling at over $50 at most shops. If you are just getting into it and are unsure of how serious you are, Winners is just for you! I didn't buy my mat from here (because I'm not unsure :P) but they had mats for like 8-10 bucks. I like to surround myself with quality items that work. However, I find that a store like Winners can be very useful to sniff out discontinued (or last year's stock) items that are fully functional and are cheaper simply because they can't compete with the latest . I'd give it a peek if I were looking for something specific, either in clothing or home wares. They also have a decent selection of gym props and small home exercise tools. read more

This is definitely my favourite Winners in Edmonton. Like all Winners stores the selection always changes, so it can be hit or miss depending on the day. They have loads of great designers though and usually really have a great shoe selection. My favourite buys are definitely my litres if my salon shampoo for $14 and my Burberry perfume for $39.99 There is also great seasonal stuff for the home - I have something for every holiday thanks to this place! read more

This Winners is close to home so it's good that I don't have to go too far out the way. You can find almost anything here: clothes, shoes, exercise equipment, toys, purses, travel accessories, kitchen ware, dry foods and books. Some people don't like to admit it but everyone likes Winners. Now I won't necessarily go out of my way to go to Winners but when I am looking for something specific I will always check Winners along with other stores. I think one word to describe this place would be surprising. They have designer items for cheap. The same stuff people brag about paying hundreds of dollars for can sometimes be found at Winners for a fraction of the cost. They have clothes, furniture, home decor and toys among others things. I know, I know. It seems really weird to give Winners only 2 stars. Let me explain. I have loved winners since it opened up in Edmonton (or since I could shop.. whichever came first) and I have never had trouble finding things at Winners, but for the last 3 Christmas's and birthday's, I have received a Winners gift certificate, and I think this location is starting to loose some merit. My first issue-- this store is filthy. I have noticed that if my clothes drag on the floor while I am searching through racks, that they quickly become covered in a layer of dust and dirt. The other thing I have noticed is that when I get the the change room and put down my items, that my hands are black from holding the hangers. Yuck! My second issue-- the stock doesn't seem to be replenished as quickly as they say it does. I have had a hard time finding new and exciting things at this location and I am at the point where I don't even go here anymore. I would rather drive out of my way to 17th street to go to the winners there. Winners as a whole -- Awesome! This location fails in my books though. read more

Well is there anything bad to say about Winners? The location is grand, off major highways, theres plenty of parking and designer clothes at better prices. They have more then enough mens wear here but lack in watches etc....Theres more then enough staff as I have never really waited in a line up there. I never leave empty handed, not sure if thats a goodthing???. I have purchased shoes, pants and tops here even electronic accessories, good place to pick up headphones. I often frequent Winners and like their unique merchandise or home decor, but their food products are frequently stale or may contain harmful ingredients. I recently purchased a bag of salt toppers containing almonds and cranberry. I prepared a green salad with feta and homemade dressing and then added the Winners package of salad toppers. Not only were the almonds bitter and stale tasting; I also had a bad reaction to MSG contained in this product. If I were to try to return them, winners would no doubt ask for the receipt, even though the price tag is visible. I caution anyone who is buying food products from Winners to read the label of ingredients and check the expiry date. Sometimes a bargain is not a bargain. read more

I find winners women's clothing selections very poor. I used to find really nice clothes but now most of it is junky looking. I got a $100. gift card for Xmas and I could not find a thing that I liked. I find better clothes and good prices at other stores. read more

Winners may be one of my most frequently visited stores in Edmonton. Ever since it opened, I can't help but stop by once a week or so to see whether the new inventory has been brought in. Some days of shopping at Winners are better than the others. I either walk out with bags full of purchases or completely empty-handed. In any case, Winners is fun to browse. The selection of women's clothes is always impressive; it is finding something that is of good quality, fits you well and doesn't cost a fortune that is tricky. In order to make a successful purchase, be prepared to spend a lot of time browsing through rows and rows of clothes. Winners is not a "get in and get out" store, you have to spend a good chunk of time here. I love finding an occasional reasonably priced designer item of clothing at Winners. Diesel jeans at $80? Naf Naf top at $30? Winner's got them. If you are not hunting for designer labels, Winners has lots of non-designer clothes to choose from. The inventory changes often, there are always new arrivals and lots of clothes go on sale quickly. I love that during winter months, Winners stocks up on cashmere sweaters. They usually cost $90 and up, and are soft and comfortable. Not the best quality cashmere but it's soft and wears beautifully. Winners offers a great selection of shoes and winter boots. Again, you can find an occasional gem such as Stewart Weitzman or Donald J. Pliner shoes at reasonable prices. The selection of men's shoes could be better. With many years of shopping at Winners, I have managed to buy only two pairs of shoes for my husband who isn't even that picky about his footwear. Overall, Winners is a great store, and I am sure that Edmonton shopping scene would not be the same without it. read more

I went to shop for a christmas present. I asked for gift receipt but salesperson forgot to give me one. I misplaced my receipt. I called and asked if I can return the item without the receipt since I have a tag and they said yes. When i was returning the item, the manager said that it was not the right tag for the item. So they cannot offer store credit for that. how stupid was that. Blame the customer for putting a wrong tag for my purchased item? Now they won't credit 40$ back for an item that does't fit. I got the worst customer service at this location. This brown cashier was helping my mom. Since there was a huge line up, I thought I would just go to the till with my mom and just purchase my items with the same cashier but sepearate transaction. While this cashier was helping my mom, she says "Can you go to a different till because I have to leave in 5 minutes." I told her no, because it would be rude to other customers in line if I went back in the line up. She then says "No it will be ok since you were ahead of them. I have to leave in 5 minutes." I then told her no and that my purchase is not going to take 5 minutes since I only have 3 items to purchase!! She went on about how she has to leave in 5 minutes a couple more times and I just ignored her and stayed at the till. When she was finished with my mom, she started my transaction. She then threw the receipt in front of me and said HERE YOU GO. Honestly the worst customer service. I don't understand how she thought scanning 3 items would take 5 minutes. I found it very disrespectful that she was refusing to help a customer. Please managers, watch who you hire before they affect your business!!! Stupid brown cashier. read more
