    Poutine
    May M.

Since I moved to the US in 2018, I miss the Poutine fries and Turkey Provolone Sandwich from West End Costco in Edmonton where I always get them. In the US, they, unfortunately, don't have poutine. But, yesterday I had both! Oooh, the cheese curds and the gravy on the freshly fried fries were mouth-watering. And the warm, cheesy, and pesto-ee turkey provolone sandwich was divine. I was only able to eat half of the sandwich and saved the other half for today's lunch. I'll warm it up in the oven to keep the crisp on cabaccia rolls. Can't wait to finish it up. My sister ordered Hawaiian Pizza and crispy fried chicken wings. Don't get me wrong, I like Hawaiian, the ones from Costco aren't good. There's only about 5 small pcs of pineapple on each slice and tiny scattered ham. The chicken was pretty good though, nicely browned and crispy. Update: Lesson learned, don't heat the sandwich in the oven. The bread became too hard to eat lol. I managed to eat the middle part hehe. It was still good though.

Costco is a wonderful place to shop so many products available in bulk and affordable price. I've been shopping at Costco since 2010 and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. The membership price is also worth it since it's for the whole year. 1 of the best things about Costco in my opinion is their cheap gas & as a soccer mom who drives a van all over town this is very important to me. They always have the cheapest gas in town. Their food court is also very famous. If you a new parent here's a cost saving tip, buy diapers from Costco it's cheaper

I like coming to this Costco when I am in Edmonton because it is located only a few kilometers away from my parents house. Costco is also one of my favourite stores to visit whenever I go traveling. Why, because of their local fare. In Edmonton, of course I went there to have their poutine. Their poutine is made with seasoned fries, gravy and cheese curds. It was delicious. The cost of living in this Capital city of the Province of Alberta is higher than Vegas. Just for comparision, rotisserie chicken here is $7.99 CAN each compared to $4.99 USD in Vegas. The store is just like all the other Costco with a large selection of products and it is super busy on weekends.

The dress was comfortable during my travels where The temperature fluctuated during the day and evening so I wore it with and without leggings and a hoodie which matched. The sweatpants come is various fits and the ones I got aren't too bag or too tight. The prices can be high without any discount so I would shop when there's a sale. However, as big and impressive as this place is, after awhile it's just another mall with many brand names and store fronts you can find anywhere. So while here, I usually seek out places that have at least a hint of Canadian flavour. One obvious choice is Roots, which features the beaver, the Canadian flag, and high quality and well designed outerwear and accessories. Perhaps the only thing missing is Molson Canadian's Rant commercial and a comfortable Chesterfield. The store itself is nice appointed and layed out, and with good customer service. Once you actually find the store within this huge mall, you'll be glad you did.

This happened December 8th, 2023…read more Overall, I had a decent experience while shopping. I understand that the WEM location is super busy always so I knew things would be sold out so it was gonna be a hit or miss and I knew that going in. Tons of females on the floor asked if we were finding everything okay and were super nice. There was one in particular who helped me find things that ended up being out of stock but she still helped me and that counts. Unfortunately I can't remember her name. I would've given them a 5 star review. Then I went to the checkout. I had Lucas as my cashier. First things first, I had some items that I wasn't going to get anymore because we were trying to do a family matching thing and couldn't find the full set. I apologized for this. I also forgot to put a pack of socks back and I noticed it, again, apologized and said it was my fault for not putting it back or realizing it. Lucas went to take it off but in the end didn't. I pointed this out. This is where it gets bad. He looks at me and says "Well you screwed up the system so that's why. so now I have to rescan everything". Okay. Fine. During this time was also when you can redeem their old navy cash things and I know he saw me pull 2 coupons out. This is more of a company issue I find, but I'm still going to say it. I hand them to him and he says "oh no you can't use both of them. i have to do 2 transactions if you want to use both of them" me: "what? you can't use both of them at the same time?" "no we can't" "well that's a stupid system. yeah that's fine, go ahead and do that". They also have the thing where if you buy one of their bags and bring it back you get 10% off, he saw me take it out and didn't tell me till after "oh yeah you can't use the 10% and the supercash at the same time" which, I know is a company policy thing, but I still think its bullsh*t. Isn't that supposed to be an incentive to come back and shop there with a reusable bag? Overall, his attitude was f*cking awful. I will never go back to this location again if that's the attitude some of their staff have. I know the location will still make decent money because of its location, but f*ck man. I have worked retail for 7 years and this is the first time I'm doing something like this because that was absolutely unnecessary. "You screwed up the system". by pointing? So, for those that will go and shop here in the future, do whatever you can to avoid having Lucas as your cashier.

For whatever reason, the pants' all over fit is perfect no matter what size I happen to be. My size does fluctuate somewhat, gratefully headed downward now. This is just such an odd store in terms of the arrangement of it and the inventory that they sell. I think the intention is to have sections but when we went in here last night there were ladies pj's up near the till,Christmas sweaters in front of the pj's,and then men's golf shirts to the right of that. Everything just feels like it's everywhere and when you do find what you want don't expect it to be the best quality. To the credit of this place though you get what you pay for...nowhere in the store did I find a low quality item with an extravagant price tag. It's a handy place if you need to pick up dress shirts or slacks but can't afford higher end items until getting that first cheque or if you want multiple items of one article like throw away t-shirts for working outside in summer. I can't comment much in the way of staff interaction. The store is huge and the only staff we encountered were up at the till. They were both pleasant and the lady ringing me through was efficient. On a quirky side note I couldn't get over the fact that they had hand written signs at the register though...it's just not something you really see anymore but I guess it kind of fits with the overall vibe of oddness in the store.
