Truck & RV
Tom G.

Towing the RV to Grass Valley for a five day stay. GMC Duramax threw a code near Chico, but made it to camp and setup. Called Winner Chevy after two other calls went without results. Jeremy (service manager) said bring it by first thing tomorrow. They did repairs. Some was warranty work, and some wasn't. Truck runs great and trip home went well! Thanks for prompt service! This dealer sucks. They refused to deal on a truck said it was a firm price. Who what a shitty dealer. Don't ever buy a vehicle from them

They not only fixed the van for very fair price, they also made us feel like family by letting us camp in our van and telling us places to go in the neighborhood. I confirmed this when I dropped off the car. First, I was a little disappointed when I noticed there was no waiting area, but I used this time to go have some lunch. I took my time, and called to get an ETA. This was about 45 minutes after dropping off the car. They hadn't started yet, and it was next in line. I didn't feel comfortable lingering at the local pizza joint anymore, so I made my way to the Starbucks. I was there easily for another hour, when I felt I should find out what was going on. I called, and found out it was ready. I don't know how long it had been ready, but I thought it was very bad form that they didn't call to let me know. When I went to pick up the car, I found that the bill was $61.92 because the special didn't include synth oil, which is what my Subaru uses. They showed me the flyer where this was clearly stated. I hadn't seen the flyer. Again, not especially a bad thing, but they should have called me as soon as they realized that the bill was going to be different than what I had signed to. I was able to come up with extra cash (thankfully!), but by this time, I was really unhappy with their customer service. That's an integral part of any business. When I got into my car, I noticed that the floor mat was covered with the fine dirt from their lot. I deduced from this evidence that they didn't use a protective cover when moving the car. *sigh* I really don't like writing bad reviews, especially for locals, but this shop needs to up their customer service game. I hope they were just having a bad day. I know I'll be taking my other car to another shop for the oil change in a couple of weeks.

I had been driving for 3 hours already, from San Francisco, when I blew out a tire (front left, driver's side). I was on Hwy 49 just south of Grass Valley, where the highway is a single lane in each direction and barely any shoulder. Definitely not a safe location to change the tire myself, plus it was 5:30 PM - rush hour - with a steady stream of cars whizzing by. Anyway, the dispatcher (in Miami) was concerned for my safety and was very thorough, calling me back several times to makes sure she had all the details correct. The AAA truck arrived in about 20 minutes. The driver/mechanic put my spare on and I was on the road again by 6 PM. He suggested that I try nearby Les Schwab to get a new tire, since i was heading onto unpaved roads camping in the Sierra (unsuitable for my dinky spare tire). I was in luck - Ken at Les Schwab was still there at 6:07 (even though they close at 6 PM) and kindly sold to me and fitted a new tire. It was such a great price, and great service, I went back to Les Schwab (in Rocklin) two days later and got three more tires to match! I am especially grateful to AAA for keeping me safe, for their prompt service, and for the excellent referral to another local business. I've been a AAA member for 15+ years, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks, AAA!

My son's car battery died overnight and he called AAA, whom sent this Tow Company out to service his vehicle. The guy, Sam, had NO TOOLS to take the nuts off of the battery cover and proceeded to pull the cover off, breaking the piece where the cover was held down by said nut. WHAT TOW TRUCK DOESN'T CARRY A SIMPLE TOOL KIT??!!!! Besides not being professional, he was rude about it!!! I have NEVER had a bad experience with any tow company before today!! Unacceptable!! Also, I called the phone number on the side of the truck, spoke with the dispatcher asking her to have the manager call me back regarding this incident....I have yet to hear from him!
