I have just arrived home after the incredible care and expertise of Kirk of Kilroys. I waited an hour for the first guy to come, from another company, and although he tried, he was unable to jump my car. Kirk arrived and was not only early, he phoned me then looked for me as I had had to go into the drugstore. He was cheerful, kind, and patient. He tried the basic way to jump the car, but when I pushed the start button the warning of "key system" showed on the dash, He jumped into action, knowing what to do. Needless to say my relief was huge when my Infinity started!! His experience, generous confidence, and attention to a higher customer service saved me from even more stress during a time of intense stress for me. My vehicle was impounded at kilroys aug 21st 2024. They have a sign at their tow yard that states "not responsible for aby lost or stolen items" Well shouldnt they be reaponsible for our vehicles and our belongings inside of those vehicles in their custody? CHP impounded my Audi on aug 21st 2024 They called kilroys to come and retrieve my vehicle from a parking space in front of holiday market grocery store. The audi was released to us from kilroys on aug 22nd 2024 after having to pay just under $900 to get it out of impound Here's the kicker. A bunch of my stuff was missing from my purse and toiletry bags inside the audi. These items were inside of my purse and toiletry bags which were inside the audi when kilroys came to pick it up. Items lost/STOLEN: a BOATLOAD of SEPHORA & ULTA BEAUTY products, creams, lotions, seeums, makeup, facial sorays, mists, setting sprays Also, my 2010 FORD F150 keys (value: $300) were no longer in my purse which was inside the audi for the duration of its 24 hour stay at Kilroys BEWARE don't leave any valuables in your car if its to be towed to kilroys for impound because they are NOT going to be in your car anymore when you pick it back up. THE BEST! We have Better World "Auto" Club. They are completely incompetent. Despite this, Kilroy's knew we were stranded, it was getting dark, and we were not necessarily in a safe place. "We'll figure something out" was their response when we asked how we should pay since "Better" World "Auto" Club was wrenching us all around. We had no idea what was going on. We only knew that after two hours, we were looking at spending the night in our car in a remote place with a serious flat tire (on the rim) and a missing jack. Kilroy's had us out of there in 15 minutes, apologized FOR our "Auto" Club and told us they spoke to these people and said they could do it. Terrible "Auto" Club aside (do NOT get Better World Auto Club), they charged us a fair price, were compassionate and friendly, and got us into safety, something our "Auto" Club could have cared less about. I had a rental car and got a flat tire it was late nothing was open I called roadside assistance. They told me a tow driver will have to take the car to the sac airport and i would get another rental car. That was the only place that was open . I had to be at a funeral out of town early the next day. And when the driver from kilroy towing got there it was 11pm and I told him the car rental place at the airport closes at midnight. I was so upset and the tow truck driver said no worries I will get you there before they close. And he did. I got a new car rental and made it to the funeral. It was Friday night, I just wanted to get home, but unfortunately I got a flat tire on Hwy 80 outside of Colfax. It was not safe to get out and put on spare tire, had to call for a tow. Called Kilroy towing they texted me an estimated time of arrival and came right on time. When Dennis arrived the first thing he did was introduce himself and ask if I was doing okay, knowing no one wants to be on the side of the road with a flat. My car died many miles from home and had to be towed back to Reno. Was not a good day. Other tow companies were 3 1/2 plus hours wait for the somewhat remote location I was at. Was told Kilroys was only a 90 minute wait so I chose them. Cody was there in only an hour (and that was with wrong directions from my insurance company). Cody was amazing, friendly, professional, and so helpful. Really went out of his way in all areas. Rare thing these days. Cant say enough positive about Cody. Kilroys better keep on to this employee! Let me preface this by saying I don't usually write reviews for companies, but this one deserves the positive feedback. In a world of "not my problem" attitudes, the service from this company went above and beyond the neccessary. In my first year of teaching, I have now locked my keys in my car 4 times already. Needless to say, it has been stressful enough, but one company had an employee that was not very careful with my car and bent the door out. I called my insurance to file a complaint after thinking back about how my car had been handled by each company, I knew who had done it. My insurance company thought I meant Kilroy, but it was C&something (I can't remember the other letter). Despite the fact that they were not at fault, and we both understood they were not at fault, they happened to be in town (Marysville) and still came to fix my car for free. This is not your average towing company. They do appear to really care about their customers, their employees, clear communication and getting the job done correctly. For thay I commend them and hope that when you need help, you try to bring your business to them. I am a firm believer in investing in companies that invest their time and energy into being hospitable and serving their community. These guys went above and beyond to do just that. Best Experience Ever! My hubby broke down on his way to work this morning. He was only about 15 minutes from home so I got into my car and traded with him. I decided to have him take my car to work and then I would wait for the dispatched tow company. I was told it would be about 35 minutes for the truck to arrive. The truck arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Scott was super polite and told me to just jump into his truck and he would deal with everything. He quickly got my truck onto the flatbed and off we went. We decided to tow the truck home. Scott went above and beyond the call of duty. My driveway is steep and odd. He took extra time and effort and got the truck exactly where it needed to go. He was honestly polite, helpful, and genuinely a great person. I highly recommend Kilroy's! He was very friendly and nice! Then he got my car to start, which I hadn't been able to for like 2 weeks! Then he and I had a misunderstanding, where he started to load my car to tow, after I had said that I no longer wanted it towed, since he got it to start. We had an unexpected emergency yesterday when my car just wouldn't start. We tried what we knew and nothing would fix it. I needed to leave for work which meant I was heading out of town for two days. Although we have two cars I couldn't just take our second car and leave my husband and kids stranded for two days. What if there were an emergency? A fire? I called our insurance who said they would send out a tow truck; they recommended towing it to foothill. A short time after my call Kilroy's Towing showed up. Brady was incredible! So nice. He tried to help us diagnose the problem so we wouldn't have to tow it all. He gave us extra time trying to help us figure out the problem, discussed the best place to tow it, taking into consideration our Subaru is still under warranty. He was patient while we made several calls. When it was decided to go ahead with the tow he again patiently waited while we removed everything from the car, our car seats, etc. Then expertly loaded the car very quickly and safely drove it up our narrow one lane steep gravel road! Hopefully you don't need towing, but if you do I'd definitely recommend Kilroy's! read more

Wow, these folks are incredible!! After a great weekend of backpacking over the 4th of July, I busted my oil pan on a rocky dirt road on the way out and was stranded. After waiting in vain for over 3 hours for AAA (the truck they had assigned broke down!), someone recommended I call Kilroy's. I got through right away, and the folks I spoke to were incredible and SO NICE!! They got back to me in 20 minutes and sent a driver out (Brady), in the dark late on a Sunday night after a holiday weekend. He arrived and was awesome and so nice. First thing the next morning, their mechanic Jason took a look at my car and was able to make the needed repairs. He patiently answered all my questions and explained everything. We were traveling to Idaho for the holiday when our overflow box for the coolant cracked and was leaking coolant everywhere. Kilroy's did everything possible to help us get safely back home. They called around trying to find our part and we're able to offer to have it delivered there by the afternoon. However, we decided to just go back home and switch cars so they they patched the box to help us get there. They requested no payment for their time and efforts and told us to have a merry Christmas. I called Kilroy Towing to see if they could move a 1000 lb. (damaged) vintage printing press down my steep driveway into my garage. Fedex came to deliver it but the driver wasn't willing to try to bring it down my driveway as he felt he wouldn't have good traction, so he just dropped it off on my street. So, I called Scott at Kilroy Towing. He sent his driver (Dennis) and flatbed out the very next morning and took care of it! He did it safely, strapped the press down properly and was able to do it with no issues. It took over an hour to complete as Dennis was taking his time to make sure the press wasn't damaged any further by winching it up onto his truck, backing down my driveway, and then helping me get it into my garage. I broke down at night on Rt 49 and Kent himself came to give me a lift. He was polite, helpful, and dropped my car at my dealer for me. Though contactually not part of his deal with my insurance company, he even gave me a lift home. The next day my dealer gave me the diagnosis on my car. I called Kent and asked his advice. 8 miles out of Grass Valley, it is getting dark, and our motor home stops dead. I call my insurance company for a motor home tow and they tell me it will be two hours before anyone gets to me. But actually, Kilroy's showed up in just a little over an hour, fresh from another tow in the opposite direction. Their shop is closed by now, but they get us there and let us camp overnight next to the shop, promising to get at the rig at 7am the next morning, and that is exactly what happened. The problem was bizarre! The starting battery was completely dead, but the house batteries were energizing the entire ground system of the motor home. Everything that should have been negative ground was positive feed. One of the mechanics, Sammy, tested every circuit and component like a professional detective and shook his head with every false result. "I don't get it! This thing should be on fire!" he said more than once. Sammy knows his stuff, he has been at this many, many years. Finally, he had a breakthrough and discovered where a ground cable had worn through and come into contact with a hot lead shorting everything out. This came after about five hours of frustrating labor, over, under and around the motor home with other mechanics equally puzzled over the problem. The short was repaired, a new battery isolator was ordered locally, arrived and installed in good time and we are happily off to our week long camping trip only a day late, and the total bill was less than I expected and very, very reasonable. Don't expect a shiny garage with mechanics in spiffy white coveralls. Kilroy's is old school and looks like a garage that has been through several generations of service. We couldn't be happier with our experience there. Everyone was friendly, polite and concerned to get us fixed and on our way again. This is a place where you can kick back and share a beer while your vehicle is being worked on by competent serious mechanics with years if experience. Big old friendly dog on the premises; an occasional local "Good Old Boy" stopping by to see what is going on... you get the idea. This is a "Don't judge the book by its cover" kind of place. We happily and enthusiastically recommend them. read more

Absolute JERKS!!!!! I took an elderly & disabled friend for a fun 'girls day' out of town in Nevada City. My truck got towed from the handicapped space w/a placard hanging from the rear view mirror (totally scam). My phone wouldn't work up there, we were an hour and a half from home, it was getting dark, my friend could hardly walk and she needed her medication (which was at home - this entire fiasco was over 2 hours). They charged me $300, when an impound should be around $65 and it was a bogus tow anyway, which I'll be fighting. The tow truck driver was gonna leave me and an 85 year-old disabled woman on the side of the road in the evening with no ride, no money, no working phone and it was getting dark, in the north forty. ABSOLUTELY NO REGARD WHATSOEVER!!!!!! Either I kick down $300 or he was locking up and driving away. I will bad mouth these LOSERS til the day I die. Karma WILL catch up with them, and I don't want to be in the same county as them when theirs hits...cuz it's gonna be UGLY!!! read more
