It never felt the same when braking. Today, it's Martin Luther King holiday. I was looking for a brake shop that was willing to service to my F53 V10 6.8L chassis. I was lucky enough to find Nick's NorCal Road Service located in West Sacramento. The shop has a garage that is big enough to service a class motorhome. Nick's technicians completed the job within an hour. The price was very reasonable. Nick's shop also offers services that are related to any heavy duty diesel and gas truck engines. The shop also offers services such as electrical work that are related to the RV house itself. Some of these services can also be offered in mobile. If you have a RV that needs some work done, I highly recommend you to take your RV to his shop. You will not be disappointed.

I was hauling 10 pounds of roofing materials so he inspected the rest of the tires, he showed me how one more tire was getting ready to explode. To not go through another roadside emergency he told me he can replace all 4 tires on the spot. He even recommended better tires with all the weight that I haul so I now feel safer on the road. Thank you Nick for the amazing turn around and helping me right away. If you're looking for great quality honest reliable service call Nick!!

Oh wow, how things change... this used to be our place that we could take our Motorhome and trust…read morethat they had the best intentions for us and it! We brought our Motorhome to Kevin and Haley in January 2026 and they had it until March 2026. We had a new roof installed for $13,000+ dollars. While it was being worked on, they would send out pictures letting us know the progress, little did we know what was going on behind the scenes. Upon arrival to pick up the Motorhome, when it was finished, we noticed one of the slides wasn't all the way closed, it was stuck, long story short somebody left a screwdriver in there blocking the slide from closing, I was so glad I caught it, before we left the facility. The worst part is when we got home, we noticed all the greasy black footprints all over our carpet and the amount of dust and dirt inside the Motorhome was absolutely incredible. We cleaned it! Then the vent in the bathroom for the shower was put on cockeyed and wouldn't work. The electric awning was not working with remote or manual. (BTW all of these things were in proper working condition when we brought the Coach to them) Took it back in. They kept it again for three days, and, kept telling us everything was fine. When we arrived there to take it back home, (it's parked out in back, nobody is there to verify the repairs) So of course, we checked the operation and found out the awning still wasn't working manually or remotely! That scenario happened twice in two days of us driving out there every afternoon after work to pick up the motorhome and it not being ready. The next day, Kevin finally admitted that the motor for the awning was not working correctly and said he found one in a pile in his warehouse and installed it, he knew the awning was working correctly when we brought it to him. So unprofessional these people were about this whole situation. I won't get into the condition of the shower that is coated in sawdust or the skylight above the shower that was not put on correctly and sealed! I don't know if they have just turned a new leaf and that's how they conduct business now I just don't know. Thought that was the end of it but now our whole air-conditioning vent system is completely clogged with sawdust from the build of the roof. Here it is June seventh and we're still dealing with their severe incompetence! Honestly, I could go on and on and on and have left a lot of stuff out about this particular event, I hope they don't do this to anybody else. I would really hate to think that somebody else is going through what we are going through, trying to get our Motorhome back in the same shape. It was in before we brought it to Sacramento Valley RV. This whole ordeal has really caused us a lot of hardship getting our Motorhome back to the way it was before we brought it to them. This has been a very costly situation for us and should never have happened. Just total disregard for our property and pocketbook. Needless to say, I would never recommend Sacramento Valley Rv EVER to anyone! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!

I also told the receptionist that the truck camper has solar and not sure if solar was a factor for the batteries not charging. I turned my truck camper in on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday morning, I called for a status update. The receptionist said the truck camper would not be looked at until Monday of the following week. This was unacceptable because I was leaving Wednesday around noon for my Thanksgiving plans. You guys worked an hour on something I didn't ask for. Specifically asked for a check on why my engine motor was not charging the batteries while driving. Ultimately, my boondocking Thanksgiving trip was a little bit more difficult to manage because of the lack of battery power to the truck camper Nice fancy bronco the owner drives. Must be nice ripping people off.

The only water source is the AC unit on the roof at the rear of the coach which happens to be above the bedroom. I immediately suspected a clogged drain line. Supporting that suspicion was the lack of condensation build-up coming out of the drain line (the front AC unit was draining just fine). Although this can be an easy DIY fix, I am a senior and still recovering from a terrible ladder accident/fall so going up on the roof was not an option for me. I called a mobile RV repair service and they quoted me a minimum of $600 for the repair. A person at the RV storage facility we use suggested I call American RV Service Center. I called last week and spoke to Morgan. She was very helpful but initially said her next opening was in August. I told her we are going on an outing July 22nd. She said she would see what she could do to get us in before then. After a few minutes she came back on the line and told me because it was presumably a simple fix she could get me in Friday the 19th. She advised me they charge $175 an hour and it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. Today (the 19th) they got our coach in. The tech found there was no clog, the line was clear. He did find that the drain hose connected to the pump did not have a clamp securing it. He put a clamp on it, confirmed that the pump was working and then tested the system. With the bedroom AC unit on for a while, the system began draining the condensation build up, operating normally. No leaking inside. Problem fixed. Morgan was great to work with throughout this process. They went above and beyond to get us taken care of knowing we have an outing planned. The temps will be in the triple digits where we're going and having both AC units working will be a life saver! Their service costs are fair and their customer service was excellent. Also, it's nice to call a business and have a live person answer. I highly recommend American RV Service Center!!! Thank you Morgan and thank you tech (unfortunately I did not get his name).

Staff is very nice and we did bring it in just before Memorial Day so we knew we would probably have a wait. All we needed was generator oil change, checking the water pump and battery load, looking at the tires sensors, checking the roof and a wash. They said we needed new tape on top to keep the solar panels in place and couldn't find anything wrong with the pump. We got it back after three weeks and on the walk-through were actually told that the guys took all the old tape off and cleaned it up when they didn't even need to do that but they thought it was a water repellent issue which it wasn't. So who knows how much extra time went to that at $175 an hour or so. We also noticed later that we didn't get the tire valve caps back and I went to turn on the air conditioner unit in the 96° heat in downtown Saceamento and they had not turned the switch back on for that in the generator. That meant that after consulting with AI during a work event, I I was crawling under the RV in downtown Sacramento on the street to open the generator cover and flip the switch. The work overall cost $1100. Obviously, we did not think it was particularly affordable, convenient and we're not pleased with the handling of the relatively simple items on our list. There's another place not too far from us and a highly rated mobile technician as well that maybe we'll try next time. ARV business model involves multiple different technicians working on the van, which is why it takes so long, but in addition to the inconvenience we just got pretty mixed results on the work.
