She was pleasant to interact with in person. I felt a few pokes during the appointment on my eyelids but the end look was fine. However, as soon as I got home I started to have fallout. I've had my lashes done for over a year and I know how to take care of them. I have my own brush and lash wash. From just the bike ride home, I found 2 lashes on my shirt. Poor lash retention. I am leaving soon for vacation, so I scheduled a mini fill in. I get a text that Kristin "has an emergency" and has to cancel the appointment - like many other reviewers. When I responded to her with the new date, she responded the following night with the excuse that she was "fully booked". I went to look at her appointments online and see 2 time slots open. What a joke! You would think someone would be more passionate and honest with their small business. I followed another reviewer's advice to dispute my deposit transaction earlier rather than later. I encourage anyone to do the same if you're experiencing the delays, "cancellations", ghosting, and overall lack of professionalism.

Loved this lash boutique! It was super cute, girly, and so chic inside. Kiara, better known as Keys, was my lash technician and was waiting with a pleasant smile on her face when I arrived, despite my being a few minutes late. She was so personable, warm, and friendly that it felt like we'd known each other for years despite being my first visit to Winkd for lashes for my birthday trip. Keys was very informative, answered all my questions, and kept me very relaxed and entertained through my service. She accomplished both my lash extensions and brow tinting with such gentle care and precision, even though I was running late and she had another client right after my appointment. I'm not sure any other place or lash technician would have been so accommodating. Unfortunately, despite following the instructions I was given for lash care, my extensions only lasted me 4 days which was a bit disappointing for the $180 base price I paid for my set. My lash extensions don't always last as long as my friends' and colleagues' but i typically am able to keep them for at least 7-10 days minimum. I also wished the $30 brow tint would have come with a little brow trim or clean up, not a full shaping, arching, or waxing but a quick little trim or clean up would have been nice before the tint application. This would have been similar to how when I have my polish changed at my nail salon, they do a quick trim / file/ buff of any misshapen nails before polish application, as a courtesy. She takes the time to personally prepare you for the procedure days before your appointment so you can be comfortable and confident. She doesn't hide or sugarcoat the risks that come with permanent makeup. She studies your unique face and the unique eyebrow shape that complements it. My face looks best with a medium arch shape. She made sure that I liked the pre-draw that she came up with, and that I was 100% sure about it. Her strokes were smooth, and she made sure that I was relaxed throughout. Needless to say, I love love love my results. She followed up with me afterwards to make sure my healing process was smooth and that I followed the aftercare properly, I recommend Butterbrow DC to anyone who wants to enhance their eyebrows and their whole face, because the effect of perfect brows on your face is very underrated.
