I tried this place out a couple of times, but overall I wasn't impressed. First, the salon itself is hard to find because the building is hard to navigate. Depending on where you park, it is easy to get turned around in the office-style complex, and given the construction it is impossible to simply cross from one side of the courtyard to the other if you find yourself on the wrong side at first. Also, even when you're on the right floor, the building signs are contradictory and confusing, with signs on each end pointing you the wrong way to get to the salon. It literally makes no sense! So my tip is -- forget reading any signs. The salon is at the very end of the outdoor hallway, so just keep walking until you get to the end and see if you spot the door you're looking for. Ok - with that out the way, a few comments on the experience itself. Tiffany is nice enough (not super warm or welcoming, but overall she's fine), but she's only able to do the more basic lash looks (and not the one to go to if you want very dramatic lashes). The appointment is not relaxing though because she is usually blasting rap music from her phone throughout it, except for when she stops often to play with her phone and/or take personal calls on speakerphone. The whole thing seems unprofessional and unsanitary, frankly. As for my lash look, it was too subtle/basic for my liking -- but the one prop I give it is that the lashes didn't hurt as much to the touch as the ones I got from a local Asian nail shop did. They lasted long enough, but I wasn't given any aftercare instructions on washing etc. from Dollface though -- and I was only given a mini lash brush for upkeep on my very first visit. Also, while it's easy to book an appointment online, it's downright impossible to get ahold of someone live if you need to make changes or otherwise talk to the business. All things considered, I knew Dollface Beaut would not be my final stop in my quest to find good lashes in the DMV. It's a 3-star experience at best, so I knew I had to keep looking. But I have since found an AMAZING 5-star lash place in Old Town Alexandria, VA that is well worth the trip out there to get them done. So now my lashes and I are happy again! read more

I met with Tiffany a few weeks ago to get ombré brows (which is soft shading your eyebrows darker with microblading). At first I was a little nervous about the procedure, but Tiffany was able to explain the process, answer any questions, and reassure me that things will be fine. She was very caring and professional throughout - she took extra time to make sure she outlined/measured the eyebrow shape and made sure the shade of color matched my skin tone BEFORE she started microblading. She made sure to use numbing cream to make the process so much easier. I am sooo happy with the results! Even throughout the healing process over the past few weeks I did not experience any issues. My lashes lasted about 2 and a half weeks with about 40-45% of lashes still left on *I sleep on my left side so my left eye goes a little quicker than my right* and the touch up was smooth and done just as perfect as the first time. Training Class - one-on-one I went to Tiffany and Tracy for lash extension training and certification. They were both extremely professional and knowledgeable. I learned many new details, even though I'd started practicing and watching videos a few months before. They both were very patient and helped me to form fans, isolate a lash, apply the glue, and attach the lashes over and over until I learned to do it all consistently well. Worst experience ever. I wish I had never booked with them. I recently moved to MD and this place has great reviews, so I booked to get a lash lift. I have gotten it 3 times while in VA so I figured it will be a good experience- WRONG!!! As soon as the procedure started, the technician began to apply the glue and I began to feel pulling and pressure; I told her, but I thought it will pass and decided continued. As soon as the second solution was applied, I began to feel burning on the middle outer part of my upper eyelids. I asked the technician to remove it immediately and she did. She stated that I opened my eyes and the solution got into my eye which I did not and as a nurse, I know if I had opened my eyes, the burning would have radiated to the inner eye lid and possibly my sclera. Also, the burning was just in the middle of the eyelid and not the outer sections. I left with burning eyelids and white sclera which indicates it was not an allergic reaction. When I arrived home my lashes were falling off and upon assessment of my eyelids, I noticed pealed skin due to eyelid injury which makes me think my skin was pinched in between the rod and the lashes' root, so when the second product was applied, my skin was open and the product was directly absolved and burned. Anyway, I did not finish the procedure. Now my eyelids are swollen and My lashes are falling off. read more

I've struggled to find a DC lash bar of similar quality to NY and LA lash bars but after seeing some good reviews, I went to see Tiffany for a Sunday afternoon appointment, and by the following Sunday ALL my lashes had fallen out. Embarrassingly, they were literally falling out when I was at dinner with friends. I'd not used oil, or even water, on my lashes but all week they shed. They did look great the first day though, so it may be worth it for a short term look if you're willing to drop $200 for something that lasts 5 days. I'm still trying to find the right lash tech and I wanted a different experience from the last lash person I saw so I went to see Tiffany based off her reviews and I was pleased. Tiffany asked what type of look I was going for, made a couple comments based on my current lashes, and I trusted her suggestions. She informed me what she was doing every step of the way. My only complaint (and that could just be the strength of the glue) was both my eyes burned for like 2 days and it felt like I had something stuck in it. It was very annoying. I've been here twice now, once for a full set of lashes and three weeks later for a fill in. It started when I really thought I was getting scammed since I got to the suite in an office building and the door was locked and I had no idea if I was in the right place. I called the number given on their website multiple times and wasn't able to reach anyone. I was only 5 minutes early to my appointment, and I had no idea if anyone was going to come. But right on time someone came with their lunch in hand to let me in. This turned out to my nail tech, she was nice enough but not the most welcoming. I get nervous at new places so I was pretty anxious going into it, but the process went well and she did a decent job applying the lashes. I felt like they were a tiny bit uneven but it still looked good. I just wish it felt more professional but also like a welcoming and friendly place. I had an appointment for lash lift and microbladding on the same day so the appointment was about 4 hours! Needless to say, I enjoyed my time with Naomi and Tiffany. Naomi performed the lash lift and explained each step to me as this was my first time doing anything elaborate with my eye lashes. Naomi was able to create excellent result despite my soft and thin lashes. Tiffany did a great job with microbladding. She took her time at shaping my eyebrows and worked with me to find color suitable for my skin tone. I really appreciate Tiffany's professionalism, diligence and bedside manner.
