The office is ebtrance to the office building is located right next to the M&T bank. You have to dial the offixe number on the keypad to get buzzed in. When I arrived I was promptly greeted and thought the pffixe set up was really cute. She had hand sanitizer available and obviously masks are required. She sanitizes between each customer and schedules appointments appropriately. I selected brow shaping, so my appointment was short, but the outcome was great. Recently I decided I wanted to get eyelash extensions as well as have my eyebrows shaped. I like many consumers use Yelp to find reviews on goods and services. During my search I found La Belle Visage. I read the reviews which were all really positive, I liked the photos of their work, they offered evening hours and their prices were reasonable. I spoke with La Belle who is the business owner regarding my eyebrows who took the time to discuss with me my eyebrow situation. I was able to get an appointment the same day! The business is located in a multi-level building where you will need to be buzzed in for access which is really not a big deal. Once you get out of the elevator just walk down the hallway and open the door to the suite. There you are greeted by an employee who will chat with you a bit and being a first time client I completed paperwork for both procedures I wished to get. I discussed with my technician (whom I can't remember her name) it was my first time ever getting lash extensions and what were my expectations. I didn't want to go for a glam style but rather natural that I could wear all the time but would give me a bit of more polished look. Hence, we went with the "classic" lash. The procedure took about an hour and half, although my eyes twitched quite a bit which made it more difficult for the tech to do her job. I was told everyone is different with regards to their eyes. I'm just super sensitive. Nevertheless, when it was done and I opened my eyes I could not believe the difference it made! My hooded eyelids suddenly revealed my eyes! I no longer have to wear mascara and my time to primp is now lessened! Next I met with La Belle, who actually discussed with me my eyebrows and then proceeded to work her magic. She made me promise not to do any plucking for a month and come back so she could really fix my brows. I went to LaBelle after just feeling an urge to get my eyebrows and lashes done on a Thursday evening. I did a Google search and she came up as number one and the business is just 2 blocks away from my house. Checked out a few other businesses reviews and photos but I decided that LaBelle was the best choice. I messaged her using the Yelp feature and she responded back within an hour by text answering questions and directing me to her site to schedule an appointment for lashes and brows the following afternoon. The salon itself is very cute and clean. Location is good, it's close to the metro, main roads and the highway/beltway. I parked at home and walked over but there is street parking and public garages that are available. LaBelle is a business professional who definitely takes pride in her business and work. Now on to the review for my services... Lashes review: I came in, filled out a quick consent form and I was in the lash room for my service. I'll also note this is my first time getting my lashes done professionally. I had some "individual" ones done at a nail salon once before but I knew to expect more and better quality to go with the $$$ price tag! I always loved the look of long eyelashes but I am very apprehensive when it comes to my eyes. I can't even give myself eye drops, that's how bad it is. But LaBelle was very patient with me and my flinching before and after. She showed me the different curls she offered but of course since I'm a newbie and totally clueless, I told her to freestyle. She decided on the C curl. After she had all the tape in place, and my eyes were closed, I was good to go! The table itself is not that comfortable and I didn't feel this initially but after I woke up towards the end of my service. I fell asleep and I heard myself snoring so it wasn't that uncomfortable, but being on it for a prolonged period did make me a little squirmish and ready to change positions towards the end. After the tape and excess glue was removed, I was able to get up and see her masterpiece. I loved my lashes! They were a little more than the look I was going for but it fit my face very well like she said it would. I'm 6 feet tall and can pull off the longer lashes. I am very satisfied with my lashes and I will return to LaBelle for a fill. I will post another review after my second appointment on how they lasted, the second appointment, etc. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a lash addict. Eyebrow review: I had not had my eyebrows done in about 9 months, due to my old threader moving and I became content with just filling them in with powder, pencil and concealer. Since I don't have a lot of hair, it worked for me. But once I saw that she did eyebrows along with lashes, I decided to give it a shot again. A tweeter and razor was used, which was a new process for me since I usually get my brows threaded. I have very thin eyebrows, when I don't fill them or get them done, they're almost nonexistent. I think I was expecting some sort of miracle but my eyebrow hair just laughed me off. My eyebrows don't look bad, but not as good as I was expecting but in my opinion, this is due to own my personal hair issue. I was just thinking I'd have the sharp look like other reviewers but my eyebrow hair is definitely thinner than theirs. LaBelle recommended not getting the tint due to the thinness and the dyes inability to attach itself to the lack of hair available. I definitely appreciated her being ethical, upfront and honest. My eyebrows were $50 since I'm a new client and the Groupon deal stated it couldn't be combined with any other special. If I had thick eyebrows, I would definitely come here and pay that price but for my situation, I don't feel it was worth that much. I am not planning on getting my brows serviced here again just because of my own personal situation and I feel a better alternative for me is to just fill in on my own. I would still recommend LaBelle for the brow service since I am satisfied with my brows. I just feel the better option for me is to continue filling in on my own. The reason for a 4 and not a 5 star is my lashes I would rate an excellent 5 but my brows an average 3 because they looked the same as other methods. I had 2 females mean mugging me with the ambience that I'm not as bad as I think which was very off putting merely because I was exact about what I wanted and some can apparently take it as "demanding." For $50 - one must be exact and demanding is all I'm saying. Secondly, her credit card transaction fee is $5. That is extremely high and not noted anywhere on her website or confirmations which as a businesswoman - one should recognize is a high transaction fee and noteworthy. I didn't ask for it to be waived but as a first time client - it should be an automatic as an FYI to have one coming back. Lastly, first time clients get an eye mask - I was not given one, not told "we are out but we'll have one for you the next time you come back." That was also off-putting. The parking is a little daunting because it's on the edge of downtown Silver Spring. There is a parking garage around the corner. My lash technician was Daniela. She was honest and extremely professional. Under the assistance of the owner Labelle, my lashes were reviewed and they talked to me about options. After explaining to me how lashes should be attached, what lengths are best, I have my old ones removed and replaced with a new set. I don't regret a thing. I have found my new lash technician. I scheduled my very first lash and brow appointment with the owner LaBelle. Not being from the area, it wasn't difficult to find. I paid $0.70/hr to park in the garage around the corner from the building. Literally a 60 second walk from the garage to the door. I was her first client of the day and I filled out paperwork for the services I was getting. I walked into a beautifully decorated suite with popping colors and a chill vibe. Brows were first and LaBelle went right in... tweezed and did brow tint. It turned out beautiful. That took about 20 minutes. I was moved to the lash table where I got a neck pillow and was able to relax while my lashes were applied. That process took about an hour. Since it was my first time, she explained the steps and what she thought would look the most natural. I don't wear makeup so this was a big deal for me.
