In an effort to help future brides: Would not recommend based on lack of transparency, follow-through, and professionalism. Christin backed out of doing my makeup 4 months before my wedding stating that she had a scheduling conflict (she had booked herself for another wedding), leaving me scrambling to find an alternative artist during an incredibly busy wedding season. After a stressful and unsuccessful last-minute artist search, I ultimately ended up doing my own makeup. Christin would not offer an apology, nor a refund for our trial which was held under the false pretense of her even being available for my wedding. Full backstory: I began email correspondence with Christin for wedding makeup for myself 1 year before my wedding. Christin indicated her availability for my wedding date and confirmed in writing that she planned to do my bridal makeup on my wedding date. We exchanged over 50 emails in the 8 months that followed, and held my makeup trial 6 months before the wedding. Afterward, Christin sent along a contract but discouraged me from signing it until I had my day-of-wedding timeline finalized. I was very up front with her all along that I unfortunately would not be able to confirm our timeline until my first chance to speak with our venue coordinator occurred 4 months before the wedding-- which she stated she understood and that it would not be a problem. We tentatively planned on a bridal makeup time of 1pm. I sent my final timeline along to her immediately once I had it 4 months before the wedding, and did not receive a response from her for 5 days. When she eventually responded, she stated she could do my makeup at 8:15 am or not at all (for a late afternoon wedding), when our tentative plan had been for makeup at 1pm. My hair stylist was unable to accommodate finishing before 8:15am so this was not a viable option. Ultimately, she was not forthcoming about the limitations of her actual availability when we entered into our discussions. I've come to understand through our wedding planner that it's industry standard that a timeline should have been sorted out before she planned our trial together in order to verify her availability before we both invested our time, energy, and resources in the trial. This situation was a major stressor leading up to our wedding, and the lack of apology or trial refund were unethical in my opinion. read more

I contacted Christin on a Monday when I learned I'd be filmed for a tv interview on Wednesday. She responded nearly immediately, confirmed her availability, and sent me her price sheet. Christin and her team were the best possible make up and hair artists a bride could ever ask for. I knew it was going to be amazing when I saw her website and all the gorgeous before and after photos, but I did not expect that these ladies would actually save the day and make the entire wedding. First, for the trial Christin could not have been more patient. I had to schedule and reschedule so many times I lost track, and she was completely flexible and helpful in finding a time that was perfect for us. Since I am scattered all the time I showed up looking completely a mess and Christin transformed me. This was the first time my upcoming wedding felt real and seeing what she was able to do when I came in looking like a wet dog gave me total faith in her ability. She also gave me skin care tips for the time leading up to the wedding that I still use because it revolutionized my skin. Then the actual wedding day came, and Christin came early and prepared for all of the craziness. The energy was tense as my sisters and I were all mildly freaking out, but Christin and her team came in and made it a huge party. As soon as they came in they knew exactly where to set up and how to get additional light in the room. They took over coordinating with the hotel to get these ridiculously heavy blinds lifted so the room felt lighter and they could do great makeup. After less than an hour we are all laughing and feeling amazing and excited instead of stressed. Of course, within that hour the schedule that I had tried to make fell apart - bridesmaids weren't there or miscommunication had happened on my part - but Christin and her team rolled with every hiccup patiently and made sure everyone got done in time. They did hair and makeup for 6 bridesmaids, my mom, two flower girls and myself in record time. While also becoming all of our best friends. Now, aside from all the logistics, patience and remarkable positive energy, these ladies also did a better job than I ever could have imagined! Every bridesmaid looked more beautiful than I had ever seen them. The girls all looked gorgeous in person and in photos. It was amazing that they were able to put on enough make up that it had drama in photos, but it did not look heavy in person. You could barely see the make up on the skin, it just looked like everyone had fabulous skin. Not to mention the fact that the make up DID NOT COME OFF and the hair DID NOT MOVE. Not even a little bit. All night we were dancing and sweating and there were moments I was sure that I needed to fix something. I checked the mirror, and nothing had budged. It was unlike anything I have ever seen. I never even needed to use the high-end and well put together makeup fix kit she gave me! After it was all over I was a little worried that my skin would break out- it's always been very sensitive. Weirdly enough it felt softer and healthier the day after my wedding than I can ever remember. I do not know how Christin did it, but she managed to erase the damage of all those late nights of wedding planning and agonizing. This girl is a godsend.
