To their great credit, the Wing-Stop corporate website asked me in their ratings to explain what kept my opinion from being 5 Stars. Here's what I told them: Customer service issue: We don't order from Wing-Stop frequently and didn't know that we needed to provide a printout of the email confirmation we were sent. When I stated that I didn't have that, "Let me see your ID" was the next request. Busy Saturday evening, but still a little training in how to phrase interactions with your customers, as well as a more cheerful, or at least "dialed-down" attitude toward the customer would have made it "Likely" to "Highly Likely" that we would return to this location. Thankfully, there are others in Salinas from which to choose. Because . . . The range of selections available, and the quality of the preparation/products is really very good. The phones were turned off so we couldn't cancel. This is a store thing not corporate so great job earning yourself this review. Would've been avoided if you just let us cancel. Employees mean af! I asked the lady at the front for the code to the bathroom, and she shoved her finger in my face and wouldn't acknowledge me. This has to have been the busiest, most crowded and longest wait I have ever had at a Wingstop. BF and I wanted wings, we were thinking Wing stop or BWW... Wing Stop was obviously the better option of the two! But the closest and only Wing Stop in Salinas was 20 mins away from us and boy did we find out the bad way of the wait we would had to go through. 20 minute drive, arrived around 9PM-930PM ish. The wait for regular bone-in wings, was 38 minutes :|. We toughen the wait out since we were already there. Two orders of the 8-Wing bone-in combo, 40 minute wait after 10 minute wait in line. This is probably the longest I have ever waited at a restaurant for wings! Was it worth? maybe... I love wings, chicken wings are the best -- of course I waited! The wings here were a lot bigger in size than many other Wing Stops, fries were super crispy and they packed a lot in the bowl it came in. The veggie sticks were probably one of my favorite, they were super crisp, tasted fresh and definitely top tier compared to their cousins at other stores. I don't know when their busy hours are - but definitely need to call or order online in advance prior to coming here - they are way to busy and packed, even at night to do walk-ins. BF got their Korean BBQ flavor wings, the spice kick is right about Louisiana Rub (my favorite) and boy did it have a nice kick to it. A wet rub, spicy kick and flavorful. Now, I had order from them previously and I wasn't too thrilled about the order back then but I figured it was a one off, so to be fair I gave them another try...I'm now twice disappointed in the service and food. The quality isn't that great either as the chicken seemed soggy or mushy as well and the Ranch dressing seemed watered down...alot! The only reason why I give this location 4 stars is it's hard to find not enough signage.
