A solid wing stop in North Phoenix! High quality chicken and a very nice cook, these wings were…read morevery well prepared. I tried two flavors: the garlic Parmesan and the dry hot. The dry hot was my pick of the two, but I wish it was hotter. For a hot wing, it missed the mark for me just a bit. I'm not sure if that's because they used less pepper to prepare mine (originally, he brought them out but when he sat them down on the table, he took them back saying he forgot seasoning and brought them back shortly after with pepper flakes on them) Either way, the wings themselves tasted good. But not a stellar "hot" wing flavor to really hype me up. They run a number of specials, though, like $1 per wing sometime during the week. And I saw they had some weekday combos as well. Overall, they seem pretty affordable and they are a local business so I hope they do well! I may come back one more time to try it and get a final verdict on the heat and flavors to get takeout. The restaurant itself wasn't the cleanest. Our table was a bit sticky and seemed not washed recently, and the floor had dust on it (which I get is hard to upkeep during monsoon season). If I come back, I'd likely get take away and not do sit down though.

The Rooster has an upscale dive bar feel with a welcoming vibe and eclectic décor that makes it feel both fun and comfortable. I was told I had to try the frozen espresso martini, and it did not disappoint. It was creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. It was definitely like a dessert! After that, I asked what other frozen drinks were on the menu and was told about the frozen orange creamsicle with vodka. Of course, I had to try it and wow, it was fantastic! Refreshing, citrusy, and perfect for a warm day. We had already eaten lunch, so we only stopped in for drinks, but all of the food coming out of the kitchen looked great. We did order the fried pickles to share, and they were very good. We'll definitely be back to The Rooster to watch a game and enjoy another frozen espresso martini or orange creamsicle sometime soon.

After traveling all day, and getting the family checked into a hotel we figured we'd try a local pizza place for an easy dinner. The food was ok, but paying for something we didn't get isn't. Used their app to order and it had a contact us option, so I sent this issue to them, the app said someone will call, text, or email shortly. After about an hour it appears they deleted my concern, because the app allows me contact them again. So I waited a week and still no reply. I understand orders get messed up, but ignoring my issue and charging me for something you didn't provide is just wrong and bad business.

Customer service was close to non-existent, just a bunch of bodies going thru the motions. Ordered 2 number 3's (slice, some wings, drink). They messed up one of them and brought the wrong kind of wings. Didn't even bother to offer to "try those" while they correct the mistake, but okay... (I actually even asked, since it was the first time, and he declined and took the basket) The fries came out with a clump of cheese and looked like they had been sitting there for 10 mins. No melted cheese, no oregano - definitely not how it was described. The pizza was absolutely mid. Tried the cheese because that's a staple, but boy was that basic. Costco's cheese slice tastes better but is as greasy and salty. I'd asked for a well done slice and instructions again were not followed, and while this other person did place a different slice in the oven, he also was very indifferent to the situation. Perhaps this shouldn't be your spot if you like good pizza or customer service.

They've added more drink options and new food items, which made it feel fresh and fun again. We grabbed seats at the bar and shared the Brussels sprouts and the Burata Caprese, both were great and perfect for splitting. We asked for the bacon on the side of the Brussels, which they accommodated no problem. I loved seeing new items like fish tacos, the tuna tostada, and a charcuterie board now offered on the happy hour menu. They also kept favorites like the cauliflower wings and deviled eggs, which have always been solid. Drink-wise, my friend ordered an espresso martini. I started with the Paloma, but it tasted a little too sweet for me--the grapefruit juice seemed off. I switched to a glass of Pinot Noir and was happy. Cook & Craft is a cute spot with an outdoor patio area. I definitely want to go back again to try more of the new additions to their happy hour.
