I saw the 2.5 stars and thought, "how bad could it be. It's just wings.". Well, 2.5 stars is generous for this place. I walked it at 7pm. The guy at the cash register was wandering around bored. I understand that halal is expensive but you should clearly mention on your Public menu or on your Yelp/Google Maps page of the extra price. This was the 1st time for us at this WingStop location. The food is ok but the eat-in experience was horrible. Loud obnoxious annoying children running around in-store screaming and the owner doesn't care. I think the brats were the owner's children. They were having a large family gathering or something - and this is a very small eat-in location - not the place for a family group. The children were very annoying and the mother did nothing about it; the father was too busy with his friends chatting away to notice I guess - or care. I've never seen such ill-behaved children in any restaurant like this before. They were climbing on furniture, running around in the restaurant screaming as if they were outside. Normally get food at least once a month and service and food are normally great. Today I ordered for delivery, I recieved a text from DoorDash saying my order was canceled. I called the store and they said it wasn't and wait a few more minutes. After 10 I called back and the man was so rude and disrespectful. When I would try to clarify my order he would just cut me off, I had never ordered from here before and was trying to order halal. I came here with my friend so he could try Wing Stop for the first time being that it's halal. I think that's super generous of the owner to incorporate that into their menu to accommodate for different needs. In addition to that, the girl at the front was extremely friendly and customer satisfaction was at the forefront of her service. Through my experiences there, I have witnessed multiple occasions of the workers handling money and then food right after without washing their hands. Really greasy food, I didn't even finish my grilled sandwich. I honestly felt nauseous after eating it. The grilled chicken sandwich tasted as if it needed to be cooked for another 7-8 minutes. I used to frequent another location in Downers Grove that shut down. Then another location in Glen Ellyn which also shutdown. Wingstop kind of exploded onto the scene in Illinois years ago, but many of them ended up folding. If this one disappears, I don't know what I'll do when that garlic parmesan craving kicks in. We tend to order these wings for our New Years snackstravaganza every year. The parking is always chaotic, but I blame that mostly on the Starbucks in the neighboring building. The workers are always polite and we have never had an issue with our food not being ready, order lost, etc. The wings are never cold either. If anything, the metal containers will be trying to give you third degree burns through the paper bag that struggles to save your skin. In terms of quality, we've ordered large batches of different sizes and never really had any issue. You'll get that occasional drumstick which looks like a mutant chicken's leg, but that's to be expected when you're getting a ton of wings. The wings are always properly sauced and cooked through. We've tried a few different flavors, but the only thing we keep coming back for are the garlic parmesan flavor. It's crazy good, but in the hours after eating them, lock yourself away from your loved ones because the inevitable belching brings forth a smell I can only imagine is one of the circles of hell. In terms of flavor and quality, Wingstop has been universally outstanding everywhere I've been. The major downside is that price is just kind of extravagant for what you're getting. The wings are pretty tiny and are dangerously close to $1 a wing. If you're looking for a deal, you're going to be waiting for awhile because I've never seen one in the years I've been going, besides a free fry here and there. I imagine the price is a major factor in why so many other locations closed, so I wish the higher ups would consider some kind of discount to help the franchises compete against BWW. If the deals starting flowing and quality remained the same, this would be easily a four or five star place. Unfortunately, I think prices are locked in and that keeps Wingstop in the realm of celebratory meals only and out of weekly fast food rotations. read more
