I've been to quite a few Wingstop locations, and one thing that immediately stands out to me is the consistency of the chicken. Dry wings are a major red flag for any wing place, and thankfully the Hemet location has consistently delivered fresh, juicy wings every time I've gone. I have yet to receive a dry batch from this location. The food is also prepared in a timely manner relative to customer flow. Even when they're busy, the wait usually feels reasonable and the quality doesn't seem sacrificed for speed. The wings taste fresh, the sauces are well coated, and the fries are usually hot and fresh as well. I came here a few days ago to see if the review of them not cleaning their hands was true. When I first got in I see three males, one preparing the wings, the cashier, and I'm assuming the "manager or shift lead" was behind the wall (on a computer or on his phone) in view where I can see his body but not his hands. As I was deciding what to order, the cashier stepped away to help prepare a takeout order and then immediately began handling food bags without washing his hands. Shortly afterward, a manager or shift lead came out from the back and started placing fries into serving trays without washing his hands as well. I observed him touching the fries directly to keep them from falling out of the tray. At the same time, the employee preparing the wings appeared to reuse a bowl that had already been used previously, as there was still sauce residue left in it from prior use. These practices gave the impression of poor cleanliness and a lack of proper food safety standards. Employees handling food should wash their hands appropriately, and food preparation equipment should be cleaned or replaced between uses. Overall, the experience raised concerns about sanitation and health safety at this location. I decided to use caution, not order from here and walk away. read more

I decided to give them more time and came at 2:10pm and was told another 5 min! Can you guess 5 min later and it's still not ready! Being told "a few more minutes" I ordered ahead of time because I am on a tight schedule. Wait times given are not accurate and staff does not have a sense of urgency to keep quoted times. Me and my girlfriend came here the other day to pick up an online order. Online order says it was completed but we actually showed up 30 minutes late to pick it up since we had a bad experience on a different time coming on time and still having to wait about 30 minutes. But anyway we came in and lots of customers waiting and sitting around waiting for their food as well. There was probably like about 15 plus people waiting all at once and never seen it so busy. So I decided to wait about 10 minutes at the front but as I was waiting more people showed up and none of the employees were acknowledging any of us really. I get that it can get busy and they want to complete the order but still no employee acknowledged really any of us waiting. So I actually started to kinda politely yell out to get their attention and was ignored. About a minute later they get a phone call order and she approaches to answer it, after the call I potentially ask her if she can see if my order was ready. Sure enough it was ready and was just sitting there with about 3 other orders. Little frustrated because this could have easily been a better experience if one of them came to check on any of us to see if any of the orders for the people waiting were here. They need to understand that stuff like that can literally make the difference it great customer service. As far as the food, it did out great for the most part but the size of some of the wings were much smaller than other places like Buffalo Wild Wings. I ended up waiting 10 minutes before asking about my order to be told they never received my order. So the first employee that I talked to, just straight up lied to me without verifying my order. Ordered online for a specific pick up time two hours in advance. Get there at the specific time and they said the wings are not ready. When I ask how can an order that was placed two hours in advance be so late she said "I'm not the one cooking back there". I Ended up having to wait 20 more minutes until order was ready. My son and I were looking at the menu while the the kid that cooks the food kept coming to the counter every 30 seconds to see what we were ordering. We walked over to fill our drinks and the young man walks our food out. Not sure how it was finished so quickly. We decided to eat inside. My son had 2 wings as well as myself. Update to my previous review of July 21st, 2024: a few days later another manager called( I assume the store general manager). While he was passably pleasant over the phone, he still copped a mild attitude because when he called, he said the wrong name and I told him it was the wrong number before I hung up. When he called back a minute later, he proceeded to scold me for not catching his spelling of my name and confirming that was indeed ME. Excuse me for missing that spelling while I was trying to drive, my safety is paramount. While he did eventually apologize for the original incident of July 21st, I was left with the impression that it was simply "lip service" because they were unhappy with all my online reviews about this store. Yes, I'm on a crusade to leave reviews and negative feedback anywhere I can. I don't forgive or forget. In fact, this manager proceeded to make excuses for the previous manager who was unprofessional on the 21st, claiming that that employee was "the best manager ever in that store" (insert me rolling my eyes). Supposedly, the excuse was that the manager on duty behaved that way because they were receiving prank calls, hence why he didn't identify himself, didn't offer a solution, and laughed at my complaints. Well, as a previous executive myself at various levels with various corporations I am appalled that this MOD was the best your store has to offer. I shiver thinking what the rest of your employees and managers must be like. When the most unprofessional, immature, incapable of distinguishing a "prank call" from a true complaint by an adult and unhappy customer is "THE BEST" then your store needs serious help with hiring better management who are the face of your operations. To summarize: while the second manager made a half-hearted and unsuccessful attempt to justify the incident, in the end he failed to provide any true rectifying solutions. I did make it clear I was not looking for a refund or anything else, they simply lost a multitude of customers from my whole circle of friends and family. None of us is desperate to order at Wingstop, we are Italians and can cook better than them on any given day.
