I always expect way to much from wing stop! My first experience came from the location I use to frequent in Manassas and they spoiled me with there customer service and level of consistency. Fast forward to a few weeks ago near fort mead and I saw 60 cent boneless wing special on Tuesday. Well, it was Tuesday and I had to go on base. While leaving the base I decided to order about 20 wings and once I got to the restaurant after being held up on base. The restaurant was closed, but they still gave me my wings. The chicken was a little dry and the sauces were just kinda slapped on like they could care less and were ready to go home to play some fortnite! Yeah, I said fortnite. Decided to try this new location not far from Arundel Mills and surprised that everything is a la carte, and i mean everything. Forgive me, you do have a few option platters, but dont expect to order 8 wings with a side of celery and blue cheese or ranch dipping sauce for one price. Oh no, you pay additional for dipping sauce. That was a little disheartening especially since this being the industry standard from BWW to America's Best to even Outback to give a little DIP! How rude of them which caused me to drop a star off the break. Now I am a sweet bar-b-que guy, but the only bar-b-que on their menu is a Hickory. Not my first, second or even third choice, but i will take the charge. Needless to say, once I jumped into thiese tender vittles, I was NOT pleasantly pleased at all. That Hickory was more smokey than expected. Should have gone with the regular Buffalo and called it a day, but that's just not me. The confirmation email laid out exactly what to do upon arrival: stay in the car until your pick-up time, come in with a mask, stay socially-distanced. I went in to order food on Sunday February 11th 2024 at 5pm. I will say it is Super Bowl Sunday; i ordered, paid for my meal, paid with credit card and signed and asked if it went through, the gentleman first answer was no; i was like I signed for the payment... looked at my bank, and money was all ready taken out of the accounts, his co-worker had to double check and tell him, that he paid all ready. I show up at 1:55 to pickup my order, not only was my order not ready, it was nowhere to be found. I then proceeded to wait for my order and other orders were made in front of mine. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Has a Coke Freestyle machine, which is a big plus. The wings were just okay. Dry but seasoned well. I am happy that the boneless wings weren't over-sauced. The fries were floppy and failed to have any crisp. The 60 cent wing deal is what got me hyped. The deal runs Mondays and Tuesdays. I frequent this restaurant at least once a week, and I am a loyal patron of the brand... But I really can't hold my silence any longer about this specific location. I have witnessed the crew being flat out rude to Their own staff, and to guests who come in. With the easing restrictions for distancing and masks for vaccinated individuals, I am disappointed that this location continues to require all patrons to wear masks, especially when the Starbucks right next-door does not require masks for all patrons. I get it. I wore the mask the entire time it was required for the last year and a half... I got vaccinated, because I think it's important to do so... But today I walked in without my mask because every other business around does not require them, and then was spoken to like I'm a five-year-old and was refused service. I covered my mouth with my shirt, and they put their hands up like there was nothing they could do. For me, it's not about the mask requirement... It's how they treat people to fail to recognize that there still is one, and are left to feel like idiots. To top it off, when I got home, I realized they missed half of my order. It is pretty comical how bad this location is. Went here on a Friday night and my entire wing order was wrong, like no sauce on my wings wrong. I drove back to get them to fix it and it was still wrong, so I just had to let it go at that point. The manager smelled like weed. The girl taking orders was getting everyone's order wrong. This was the first week of the establishment. So I understand the growing pains. But I stood in the restaurant and watched order after order get returned because it was wrong. During this time I waited 49 minutes for my wings. There seem to be more people in the kitchen than required. Also I saw a lady return her wings because they were still cold in the inside. Yikes!! There was something about the fries that I just couldn't put my finger on that was rubbing me the wrong way. The fries tasted more like Sweet Potato Fries than regular French Fries. My sister then told me that they put Sugar in their seasoning that goes on the Fries. I'm not down with the sugar. I like my Fries to be crispy and Salty. The chicken was ok. I love Wingstop, as evidenced by my reviews for basically every other location in existence in this area. My husband and I recently moved to Howard County, so this Wingstop location is closest to us now. The restaurant is a bit older and pretty small. I also find that it gets pretty busy with a lot of the orders coming in from nearby base. We like to order online and do pick-up, especially now during the quarantine. Our address is excluded from the free delivery that is being offered right now, but we don't mind the drive. I typically order the large 10 piece combo, which includes my choice of wing flavors, fries, ranch or blue cheese, and a fountain drink. I usually go with 10 well done all flat lemon pepper wings, regular seasoning fries, ranch, and a fountain drink. The total for my husband and I's order typically comes to about $30, which is not cheap, but we don't eat often, so it's worth it! My wings were suppose to taste like teriyaki but that not what I tasted. The wings came with ranch dressing, French Fries and 22 ounce drink. I didn't care for the boneless wings and I think I should have order regular wings. The French Fries were plentiful but way too salty. The drink was cold and refreshing. The service was wonderful, the young lady behind the counter was very friendly and polite. She allowed me to sample one of the sauces which was delicious but way too spicy for me (mango habanero). As a small rush entered she remained pleasant and never broke her smile. The food, however, is another story. The garlic Parmesan were extremely dry. The flavor was tolerable but didn't wow me.
