At 9:30 am I placed a four tray catering order that was promptly available at noon. Service was so incredibly kind and helpful.

This place doesn't put no meat on the sub. It's basically like just eating bread. Please don't ever come here.

For some reason every time I go to this location the veggies look like they were from the day before. The staff is super friendly though.

Upon entering, you walk into a full service, but small, market specializing in Italian grocery items. The ambiance was homey, perfect for a small neighborhood specialty grocery. They also have a deli counter, meat counter, hot food bar, and Italian dessert section, to name a few. They also have pizza kits to take home to make your own and pasta and other food items prepared and ready to go in the refrigerated section. The pizza counter is located in the rear of the store. They also sold other items such as sandwiches. We were greeted by a pleasant young man and ordered our Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. The toppings were good and ample, the tomatoes sauce fresh with just enough cheese to pull it all together. The pizza was really good. All in all, another pizza spot to add to our growing list in the area.

A blogger that I follow on IG reviewed this place, so today we decided to give it a try. We ordered a couple different Banh Mi's - the BBQ pork and Grill pork. For those who are familiar with this dish, the bread is the star of this dish and the baguette was fresh and had a nice crunch with every bite. Both of the meats were seasoned well bursting with flavor and the pickled carrots and daikon were nice and thick. They offer many different options for summer rolls and while the safe side of me wanted to stick with just the "traditional / original" style, we decided to venture off and got the Grilled Beef, Grilled Sausage, Shredded Pork, and Grilled Pork. All of them were delicious in their own way and they each come with different sauces. While we were there we also got the original Cafe Su Da (Vietnamese iced coffee) which was delicious but my favorited was the Salted Latte which tastes like a Salted Caramel coffee. Staff was very friendly and got all of the food and drinks out in a timely manner. Absolutely love this place and excited to have a great Banh Mi place here in Maryland without having to travel to DC / VA.

I woke up pretty early and wanted breakfast and thi was the first one to pop up. It's right behind the Beaumont and there's a nice amount of street parking. When I first walked in no one was at the front. From what I saw there was only one server on. But Claresse was a rock star! For Breakfast I had the Cornbread French Toast and Chicken. It's 3-4 slices of cornbread, cooked like French toast and 3 nice sized chicken cutlets. I also had a side of smash browns. The fuss was good and it was a decent sized portion so half of it went home with me lol. To drink, I had a black coffee. It was a basic black coffee.. As a person that loves coffee.. I want impressed. But it's a diner so it was ok. The downside to my meal was the coffee. It was too basic. They only have dairy creamer. And my mug had a crack in it . With that being said I would come back to try a few things I saw on the menu

Just note, this is a legit country store, offering random canned items, dried goods, toys, collectibles, drinks, snacks, and even hot food. We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness! There are a few comfortable chairs around the store, so you can definitely just sit and enjoy your food, or take it to go - we opted to dine-in, and we almost fell asleep since we were that cozy and relaxed! HA! Mr. Jay is also known as the Mayor of Oella, so be sure to sit and listen to his stories - he's so kind, personable, and has a lot of history to share! I saw a published photo book of his, which I found super cool; we also received the town's community calendar and a sampling of a neighbor's homemade brownie! Be sure to stop by to grab a meal - we had heard that he makes amazing omelets, so we'd love to try that next time!
