Let's talk chicken wings! I love a good original hot flavored chicken wing. I came here on a whim and I was hungry. The place is really clean and the menu is very clear on the choices. Wings are made to order so you know it is fresh. The first time I came I ordered regular hot and spicy wings and teriyaki boneless wings with french fries. The french fries were just ok, and I wished I had ordered the veggie sticks. The next time I came I ordered all hot and spicy original and the veggie sticks. It is nice to have the veggie sticks on the side to alternate bites with. But, the chicken is really good. It is a genuine piece of chicken that is battered and fried. The dipping sauces are also yummy. I had the ranch and blue cheese. The service so far, has always been friendly and fast. The young man at the counter said my food would be 15 minutes, but it came up right away. Maybe because I ordered the boneless wings. Next time I will get the regular bone in wings to compare. I was very disappointed to find last night that they would not allow me to order in advance at this wingstop anymore. I had made a mistake in November and accidentally ordered online to this location while I was in Hollister. I live in Hollister but I work in Gilroy so I often order to this location after work. Not anymore. They have banned me from online ordering and even placing phone orders. When I had noticed my mistake I called them to apologize and let them know I wasn't going to be able to pick up my order, it was only about a $27 order nothing too crazy. Ok so my husband and I decided to get some wings again from wings top since we more or less knew what we liked now. So I called in to place an order for a pick up. Gilroy Wing Top next to Lowe's Incredibly, painfully and completely unnecessarily slow service from a thoroughly indifferent group of employees*. I placed my order at 5:29, at 5:48 I asked for a status and finally received my food at 6:09. Seven, yes SEVEN employees standing around twiddling their thumbs while one guy cooks*. The place is clean and the order taker was polite, but the food disappointed me and hubs. We both ordered the lemon pepper and hickory bone in wings, fries and iced tea. Waited about 10 min. and got our food. The fries are not at all crispy, so if you like limp fries, this is your place! The lemon pepper wings were just ok, but what put me off was the puddle of oil at the bottom of the paper basket liner they were served in. I actually got a paper towel (that is what they provide for napkins, which is fine) and did a lot of blotting to remove some of the offending grease. My husband called in the order and from the beginning the customer phone service projected attitude and the original woman who answered, handed over the phone to a male employee. I go to pick up, she repeats my order but I can barely hear her and she's answering a phone at the same time so when I couldn't understand her, her expression looked annoyed. Her name was Tahnee according to the name under the cashier on my receipt. I go home and find that I have a missing order, I call it in to let them know and she tries to tell me the fries were not in my order, I let her that it is, I'm looking at the receipt and I paid for it. I ordered thru their online website and selected delivery well the corporate office uses doordash as their delivery service and their dasher STOLE my order of 100 wings! The staff that night was very good to us replaced the order 3 hours later, but replaced it and said I would recieve a full refund. Here was are 3 days later and no refund!
